I think about the reason why God has to teach Israel the Shema. Only reasonable cause is that He is manifest in multiple forms, like his Word, his Spirit, but He is still one. Like when you look at the sky, one see it blue, one see it stormy, but it is the same sky. Shema Israel, there is one sky.
Dr. Brown brings in Gen. 18 the inference that God came in human form. What i don't understand with every Jewish scholar who reads this passage is that they assume that the three men are considered God and two angels, when the plain reading could go further. Gen 18 could very well refer to the physical manifestation of three men; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and not just God and two angels. Dr. Michael Brown, can you agree that Gen. 18 could be a physical manifestation of the Trinity or not, and why not?
I am a Christian. There are lots of things God can’t do. He can’t lie, steal (as he owns everything), or do other sins. He can’t murder, as all life belongs to him so he can take it when he wants. Right?
@@utubelittlebagofeverything5844 Correct. God is not a man. God came into his creation and put on human flesh. He did that (show me anything that says he can’t enter his creation) so that he could have a human experience (setting aside his deity powers) to concur sin and death and show us the way so we could be saved through his righteousness and his perfect life by dying for our sins as he had none to die for. We are not saying God changed into a man or was created by birth. He has always existed and he chose to put on human flesh, like you put on a shirt. That did not make him less of deity, he still was fully God and fully man.
God can't make a four sided triangle. To do so would return the universe to chaos. Some things are hidden by God (why do the innocent suffer) to be revealed at the end of days. But things are logical impossibilities.
dr. brown really has been called to his position. you can't fake that kind of patience. and you cannot fake the desire to be appealing. for me i just recognize that it's foolish to try and put god in a box and say he must do this he must do that and he cannot do that. for me it's easy to just say god does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. i don't see why everyone can't believe that way, but i'm clearly in the minority and i have to accept that.

“hear Israel, the Lord your God, the Lord is ONE “. Being ONE is an attribute of God (not being 3). Like being immortal (cannot die), like being invisible (cannot be seen), like being eternal (cannot be begotten). God has never been shy throughout the Old Testament (Tanakh), He always clearly states who He is and what He wants. Why He never mentioned clearly that He was a Triune God (like He always does)? Why He never clearly mentioned that salvation is coming thru his son? If it was so clear, why Christians in the first 2 centuries after Christ debated and fought over the divinity of Christ and the concept of the trinity? If the meaning of the text was so obvious, why still having debates 2000 years later?… peace and blessings.
In Genesis 18 all three men were called Adonai and the two men who came to Lot as Messengers were also called Adonai, too. Hence, you have Genesis 19:24. All three were a manifestation of YHVH.
"So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before YHWH." (Genesis 18:22) As we can see here the Torah differentiates between the other two men (angels) who were with Abraham and the LORD Himself (the Memra of the LORD). Stating that Abraham stayed with the LORD. "And YHWH appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth" (Genesis 18:1-2) According to verse 2 there were three men who appeared to Abraham. Verse 22 says the men left but Abraham stayed with the LORD. This indicates that one of these three was an appearance of God (a theophony). We as Christians believe these appearances of the LORD is the "Logos" or "Memra" (the Word). Further confirmation of this is in the next chapter. "Then YHWH rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from YHWH out of heaven." (Genesis 19:24) We see here verse 24 of chaper 19 says the LORD rained down fire from the LORD out of Heaven! What could this mean? Targum Jonathan and Targum Jerusalem on Gen 19:24 both state that the Memra of the LORD Himself rained down fire on Sodom and Amorah. "And the Word of YHWH Himself had made to descend upon the people of Sedom and Amorah showers of favour, that they might work repentance from their wicked works. But when they saw the showers of favour, they said, So, our wicked works are not manifest before Him. He turned (then), and caused to descend upon them bitumen and fire from before YHWH from the heavens." (Targum Jerusalem on Genesis 19:24)
Targum Jonathan on Genesis 19:1 also calls the men who left in verse 22 the two angels... Again Abraham stayed there before the LORD because one of the three men was the Memra of the LORD.
@@jonathananderson4542 YHVH said he would go down and see their cries. Then the men left to go down. In Genesis 19:2 and 19:18 Lot called the two messengers “Adonai.” All three are Adonai which means “My Lords” in Hebrew. Sorry, you need to read the Hebrew.

Scripture states that the Lord “ Yahweh” who was with Abraham looking upon the cities Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham asked the Lord will you destroy the cities if there are 50 righteous people and then on and on down to 10 righteous people for God said the cities wouldn’t be destroyed if there were even 10 righteous people. Then it says, “the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord in Heaven. - Genesis 19:24 So here we see that there are at least 2 Lords that are Yahweh which came to be known in mainstream Jewish theology as the Two Powers of Heaven. We also read about the Holy Spirit. So this actually makes a lot of sense when compared to the Christian Trinity. God also declares in the Shema “Hear O Israel, the Lord your God, the Lord is One “Echad”. That word for one “Echad” is used to describe Adam and Eve “for the TWO “Persons” shall become ONE/Echad flesh. God is telling us that while there is only 1 God, there are 3 Persons of the Godhead. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6, But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7. Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12. Presence in Hebrew is the word for face; paneem. It's hard to then argue that His presence is not actually God Himself. Unless ofcourse His face also isn't actually God either.
In Genesis 32:30 we see that my father Jacob understood that the man with whom he was wrestling was God manifested in the flesh, in fact he called the place where that event took place פניאל peniel (panim + el) and said he saw God פנים אל־פנים (face to face) in fact the word פנים indicates "face" or "presence" depending on the context. What is certain is that the struggle in Ge 32:30 was between Jacob and God manifested in the flesh, and the Lord as a loving father was teaching Jacob something, telling him for the first time that he would no longer be called Jacob but Israel. And as a Christian of Jewish origin I tell you that some manifestations of God in the flesh are described in the OT. The Lord Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, there is no trinity doctrine in the Bible. Michael Brown is a false teacher *God is One, Jesus Christ is God*
I find some of the modern Jews quite rationalistic. I wonder about the resemblance between Protestants and post-temple Jewish thinking. The obvious point here was, as Brown said at the end: He takes things *literally*, while the caller was thinking *symbolically* (expressions etc). As I am approaching Catholicism these days, I see a faith that is more "fundamentalistic" than the Fundamentalists (= a particular Protestant view from late 19th century, to counter the rationalistic/secular culture). In particular when it comes to the Eucharist, but also in other things.

That’s exactly what I believe: The essence of God, shared by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is eternal, they are coeternal, but the flesh of Jesus was created (by the Holy Spirit as Luke records). Jesus is one expression of God’s essence :)
But are they co-equal? That's one part of the definition of the Trinity I cannot reconcile? The Father is still clearly shown to have all the authority and granting the authority to Jesus after he completed his voluntary mission.
Is the Holy Spirit the Shekinah glory? It says God spoke to Moses face to face from within the cloud, was it Jesus speaking to Moses from within The Holy Spirit (The cloud)?
no , the father talked to moses face to face. not jesus . the holy spirit is the spirit of the father that's why the new testament teaches that it's the holy spirit that was giving revelations to god.
hebrew 1:1-3 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. as you can see there the father was giving revelations to the prophets not the son. jesus became the source of salvation for all humanity and the mediator between us and the father AFTER HE ASCENDED TO HEAVEN and glot glorified at the right hand of god. through christ you can worship god in spirit and in truth through the holy spirit for god reconcliated the world to himself through christ. is that sens christ make intercessions for us. christ wasnt giving revelations to the prophets, the father was.

@@godhasgivenussalvationinth5223 Yeah, but the Holy Spirit was the one giving the revelation to the prophets. When Isaiah had his vision He saw God but its later revealed that that was Jesus. When God revealed Himself to Moses, that is believed to be Jesus. So it's not a stretch to think it was Jesus in the cloud, since it says that The Angel of The Lord was in the cloud in Exodus, I believe. Num 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
@NorthStars the Steagle Don't know to who the question is directed. The best answer should come from the one who wrote the 2 books. If you read Exodus 15:4 perhaps 15:3 will be more meaningful. It appears to be an expression of God's wrath on the wicked to preserve his people to posterity.
@NorthStars the Steagle Taking Numb 23:19 in context, Balaam is talking to Balak and telling him that God ( the God of Israel) who unlike man ( who lies) keeps His promise to bless Israel and will not change his mind and curse Israel as Balak wanted. It also implies that the God of Israel is not the man god of Balak the pagan.
@NorthStars the Steagle The Tanakh (Old Testament) does not support God being man or man being God. The New Testament however does not resonate with the OT. The New Testament being controlled mostly by gentiles, written mainly by authors unknown and being edited and changed through the centuries, give little evidence of reliability and trust. With that said, I have the greatest respect for Yeshua a righteous individual who taught that which is right and abided by the Tanakh. if Christians say "1 being in 3 being" that's contradiction or "1 person in 3 person" that's also another contradiction but christian was not like that, the christian doctrine is "1 being in 3 person" is not contradiction because you have to define first what is the ontological definition of "being", being means is a nature or essence of existence which you can apply to definition of how many kind of human being and there's onkt 1 kind of human being due to nature abd essence of existence, for example if the person has son and wife, all of them are the same human being because they are the same in nature or essence of existence but they are different person as a "who". also the word "Elohim (means God) in the old testament is not ontologically defined as DEITY but ontological definition of word "Elohim" depends on the context of the bible, for example Genesis 1.1 Elohim word used on this bible verse means powerful Being but "elohim"used in Exodus 7.1 means not DEITY because YHWH made Moses elohim to pharoah. YWHW is ELOHIM but not all Elohim is YHWH for example Genesis 1.1 vs Exodus 7.1 it's very hard for jews, muslims, or unitarian this but TRI-UNITY (TRINITY) is the name of the conclusion derived from Deductive reasoning in the Old Testament if premisds are true then the conclusuon is true for example in Exodus 3.2 MALAK YHWH appeared to Moses and then v4, v5, v6 , v15 MALAK YHWH become I AM GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and v16“Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I am indeed concerned about you and what has been done to you in Egypt. " abother passage is Isaiah 48.12-16 where Me ik Isaiah 48.12 is the first and the last and who stretched in heaven but in Isaiah 48 16, the "Me and Spirit were sent by LORDH OF HOST but Me in Isaiah 48.12-13 is the the first and the last and stretched heane5and founded the foundation of earth. i would suggest to read the whole chapter of Genesis 18 & 19. for example if you will compare Genesis 18.3 and Genesis 19.18, from masoretic text, they are the same because of kamatz under "N" of ADONAY in hebrew and compare Genesis 18.3 and Genesis 19.28 vs Genesis 32.5 where the meaning of ADONAY or adoni, depends of nikkud. this is how masoretic text differentiates between DEITY and human master using different nikkud as my example genesis 18.3 & genesis 19.18 vs genesis 32.5. Abraham bowed down to 3 men and Lot bowed down to MALAKIM and masoretic text used the same DEITY for ADONAY in Genesis 19.18. please check in interlinear biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/18-3.htm & biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/19-18.htm vs biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/32-5.htm
Additionally, he’s applying symbolic (mathematical proofs) to God, which is more than anything a concept which requires both faith, and classical (propositional) Logic, which judges truth claims, not achieves a symbolic approximation of a sought quantity. God can be three persons and one substance without being divided into parts because nothing about what persons are is inconsistent logically with being one in being, nature, form or substance. He asks why stop at three? Because God has only shown us this, and because God is perfect in Goodness. His persons are in an communion of Love. Additionally, God left us the Church and the Holy Spirit to protect it from error, but I suppose that’s a different argument.

This was a really good discussion. The heart seemed to be that God expresses himself in 3 ways to us - Father, Son, Spirit. But the caller thinks this is a division. Dr. Brown says it's not a division. But once we agreed on Jesus as an expression of God, then talked about Shekinah as an expression, it made me think "well, back before all of creation, before material means like Shekinah or Jesus, why was he expressing himself? To who?" Is there evidence in Tanakh that it's proper to think of these as separate identities outside of how they manifest in creation?
I think we should feel comfortable telling Jews: "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." - 1 Corinthians 8:6 Believing in the doctrine of the Trinity isn't required to become a Christian. It's ok to say their is One God, the Father, and that Jesus Christ is the Father's only begotten Son and Jesus is the Messiah and our Lord. The Bible says so many times that there is One God the Father. We should be telling this to Jews. You're keeping Jews out of the kingdom of God over something you don't have to believe to be a Christian. It's really sad.
I don't understand how Christians think the father God has a mental multiple personality disorder. How can a sane son of God pray to himself, give himself something, send himself somewhere, have an alter personality that says not my will but yours, be on earth and project his voice to come down from heaven, etc. I believe when Yeshua said my father and I are one, he was using echad, as he quoted in what he said was the most important commandment.
When Christians try to express the diety of Christ through the trinity it becomes ironic because they use scripture like genesis 18 which supports modalism. God coming down from the heavens in the form of a man is modalism. Because you can’t go anywhere in genesis and prove that god in heaven and the Holy Spirit which is the ruach are coexisting in a unified way in this instance. No. In genesis 18 it’s one god operating as one entity, without the mention of any god or spirit aiding him.
@aattitude No there is a big difference. They aren't three gods. They are all of the same essence, the same nature. The Father, His Word and His Spirit.
Do we worship the Holy Spirit? I mean I personally call Him, Eternal Father, Jesus Christ. For me HE is one and the same, I might be missing something.

If all three are God why do we have to refer to them as different people. Why don’t we just worship God then I guess we will be worshipping all three of them
This is my take on this. It's because we see the manifestation of this complex unity as 3 different persons that are capable of inter communication. They appear to share an essence but has different personhood according to scripture. Therefore as we are worshipping the essence (Jehovah), we are also acknowledging that the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is Jehovah. Personally, I pray to the Father and end it with in Jesus name (out of convenience). I do know that I can pray to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit but I only do so in rare trying times. To me the crux of your question is, do you acknowledge Jesus as God and the Holy Spirit as God that is of the same essence as God the Father that is also worthy of worship?
@@justchilling704 yes I definitely would. That means that on some level he was deserving of the name change that was reflective of the victory over the "dark" angel he had spent the night wrestling with.. in addition to other angles of interpretation. The following passages might attribute possible godlike qualities to the character and mention something about Jacob seeing G-d face to face but do not spell out that the man he wrestled with Is G-d. Like much of the good book it is coded in layers of mystery requiring logically acceptable explanation.
We dont worship the body of Jesus? I dont think Brown is right here. In the Incarnation God has become flesh, this entails worship of His flesh. There is in Jesus Christ no longer any separation between creation and deity. God became man that we may (through faith) become divine!
All atributtes in God is God He is all that he is . He is confusing attributes with expression. The heavens and earth could be expression of him being the creator but they are not his attributes. Presence is an attribute , means the very God . God is his own essence and on his essence there are all his atributte. So they trying to separate his atributte from his essence.

Its amazing how Michael Brown, a Jew has grossly misinterpreted the Hebrew Scriptures to read the idolatrous doctrine of the trinity into it and then goes on to imply that the speaker on the phone, Manny could be an idolator. This is how trinitarian apologists behave all the time. It is very clear in the Old and New Testaments that Angels acted and spoke as God as His representatives in His dealings with His people. An Angel/Messenger appeared to Moses in the burning bush: Exodus 3: 2; Acts 7:30 An Angel/Messenger went ahead of the nation of Israel in a pillar of cloud by day and column of fire by night: Exodus 13:21; Exodus 14:19; Exodus 32: 34; Numbers 20: 15,16. It was an Angel/Messenger acting as God's representative that spoke with Moses on Mt. Sinai at the transmitting of the Law and Commandments: Acts 7: 38, 53; Galatians 3:19; Hebrews 2: 1, 2. No one has ever seen Jehovah/Yahweh God in any form at any time. Exodus 33: 17 - 22; Deuteronomy 4: 12, 15,16; John 1:18; John 6: 46; 1 John 4:12 Trinitarians have to reject the principle of Agency, because that in itself destroys the erroneous teaching that God is triune and that He literally came to earth in the form of a man. Note: According to the trinity doctrine, God is not a He, God is a WHAT - 3 WHOs and one WHAT. Much like the word TEAM. Think about it!
Maybe it's the Hebrew scriptures that lead to their misinterpretation. Why would Christians embrace the doctrine of a Trinity just to complicate their faith. The Trinity is derived from reading the old testament and that's how we make sense of the many scriptures that refer to the one God who revels himself in more than one form. Example is Ex. 3 where we see the Angel of the Lord appearing to Moses in a burning bush, God sees Moses drawing near and the LORD calling out to him. Why wouldn't the Hebrew scriptures be consistent and say God appeared to Moses and called out to him when he drew near to see? Is. 65:1

Now these *THREE are ONE,* KETHER - CHOKMAH - BINAH, and they form the first Triad of *the Tree of Life,* which is called the *SUPERNAL TRIAD.* The SECOND TRIAD was derived from this by REFLEXION, for as *these Three are One,* so this *"One-in-Three"* again reflected Itself, reversing as in a mirror.

Me too, love Dr. Brown, disagree on many “non essentials”
In Genesis 18 all three men were called Adonai and the two men who came to Lot as Messengers were also called Adonai, too. Hence, you have Genesis 19:24. All three were a manifestation of YHVH.
"So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before YHWH." (Genesis 18:22)
As we can see here the Torah differentiates between the other two men (angels) who were with Abraham and the LORD Himself (the Memra of the LORD). Stating that Abraham stayed with the LORD.
"And YHWH appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth" (Genesis 18:1-2)
According to verse 2 there were three men who appeared to Abraham. Verse 22 says the men left but Abraham stayed with the LORD. This indicates that one of these three was an appearance of God (a theophony). We as Christians believe these appearances of the LORD is the "Logos" or "Memra" (the Word). Further confirmation of this is in the next chapter.
"Then YHWH rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from YHWH out of heaven." (Genesis 19:24)
We see here verse 24 of chaper 19 says the LORD rained down fire from the LORD out of Heaven!
@@jonathananderson4542 Sorry, the Hebrew is clear that all three men were Adonai, plural.

What is certain is that the struggle in Ge 32:30 was between Jacob and God manifested in the flesh, and the Lord as a loving father was teaching Jacob something, telling him for the first time that he would no longer be called Jacob but Israel.
The writers of the NT have created a different picture of him making him what they want him to be.

Infinity divided by infinity is still infinity.
An expression of God is God limiting himself to human understanding, so that He may communicate with us. We would get mad, if not destroyed, otherwise.
God bless you Dr Michael Brown
@ASKDrBrown why are you pretending to be Dr. Brown and copy pasting this comment over his channel's videos??
Excellent video. Learned a lot!
The character likes math, here's a question for him, if one plus one is two, how much does one infinity plus one infinity equal?
if Christians say "1 being in 3 being" that's contradiction or "1 person in 3 person" that's also another contradiction but christian was not like that, the christian doctrine is "1 being in 3 person" is not contradiction because you have to define first what is the ontological definition of "being", being means is a nature or essence of existence which you can apply to definition of how many kind of human being and there's onkt 1 kind of human being due to nature abd essence of existence, for example if the person has son and wife, all of them are the same human being because they are the same in nature or essence of existence but they are different person as a "who".
also the word "Elohim (means God) in the old testament is not ontologically defined as DEITY but ontological definition of word "Elohim" depends on the context of the bible, for example Genesis 1.1 Elohim word used on this bible verse means powerful Being but "elohim"used in Exodus 7.1 means not DEITY because YHWH made Moses elohim to pharoah. YWHW is ELOHIM but not all Elohim is YHWH for example Genesis 1.1 vs Exodus 7.1
it's very hard for jews, muslims, or unitarian this but TRI-UNITY (TRINITY) is the name of the conclusion derived from Deductive reasoning in the Old Testament if premisds are true then the conclusuon is true for example in Exodus 3.2 MALAK YHWH appeared to Moses and then v4, v5, v6 , v15 MALAK YHWH become I AM GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and v16“Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I am indeed concerned about you and what has been done to you in Egypt. "
abother passage is Isaiah 48.12-16 where Me ik Isaiah 48.12 is the first and the last and who stretched in heaven but in Isaiah 48 16, the "Me and Spirit were sent by LORDH OF HOST but Me in Isaiah 48.12-13 is the the first and the last and stretched heane5and founded the foundation of earth.
i would suggest to read the whole chapter of Genesis 18 & 19. for example if you will compare Genesis 18.3 and Genesis 19.18, from masoretic text, they are the same because of kamatz under "N" of ADONAY in hebrew and compare Genesis 18.3 and Genesis 19.28 vs Genesis 32.5 where the meaning of ADONAY or adoni, depends of nikkud.
this is how masoretic text differentiates between DEITY and human master using different nikkud as my example genesis 18.3 & genesis 19.18 vs genesis 32.5.
Abraham bowed down to 3 men and Lot bowed down to MALAKIM and masoretic text used the same DEITY for ADONAY in Genesis 19.18. please check in interlinear

Adam and Eve were clothed in glory when in the garden. They did not know they were naked until they fell.
God is all, but the holy spirit is his presence through his spirit, his air (ruaj) and Yehoshua is the meshiah, he spoke to Abraham, was to Jerusalem on a donkey, was dead and resurrected from the seol on 3 days, he is still alive sitting at right of God. He had to suffer and die crucified because was in the scriptures, but the king David wrote on salm 16; 8-11 that the meshiah died but would not know the corruption of his body and neither the seol. He will come back at the olives mountain at Jerusalem in the ends of times on the final judge. Sorry for my bad english.
Through me you will arrive to my father (said Yehoshua), they were one, because by Yehoshua was made the will of God. But this is not easy to understand, and the ruaj hakodesh is the wifi connection with God, if someone has wifi connection is connected with God through the ruaj hakodesh and you speak with the words of Hashem and do what he wants that you do in that moment. You will heal, you will see the future, you will speak in languages because you will can touch the heart, the heart is the door and the knowledge, number 5 like the Torah. And the emuná the faith lives in the heart and in your homes (bodies) if you do something with the power of your heart you will do it.
When God can create all the universe, you think he needs to come to earth to save you it putting limits on God and make him so small that he has to come earth, no does not he can do every thing from above then when he can create everything's from up there, get your mind right because by saying that God came to earth is very disrespect to his holiness and power.
The irony here is that as this man claims that you have a mathematical paradox. The reality is that infinity divided by three = infinity.
Can you break that down for me? What number is infinity?
infinity is not expressed by a numerical value, but picture with me a timeline. This timeline can stretch forward or backward forever. So we can divide the timeline in 2 equal parts using zero as the dividing line but both parts are still infinite.
So we can see that it is possible to divide infinity and we can also see that all equal parts remain infinite.

Jesus Christ is the name
The Holy Spirit it’s his name. We all have a spirit, but the Holy Spirit is the eternal God, in the same essence as the Son and Father.
The name of the Father is Jesus John 5:43 Jesus came in his Father's name, which is Jesus.
Matthew 1:21 Mary was told she would have a Son, and his name would be called Jesus.
John 14:26 the comforter would come in the name of Jesus, so in the new testament the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus.
YHVH
@Desire Of All Nations explain what the Holy Spirit is
The Triune belief is not Jewish, but rather Hebrew. Most Jews that we, as Western Americans, are exposed to are European and it's not surprising that there is a disagreement between the Messianic and Orthodox beliefs.
*The Supernal Triad of the Kabbalah* is the source of the Trinity doctrine and not the Bible. It was populorized by *Philo of Alexandria* and adopted by the so called church fathers.
Thus we obtain *two further Sephiroth harmonized in a third.*
www.spellsandmagic.org/supernal-triad/chapter-one.html
There are verses deliberately translated incorrectly to push this Babylonian religion. That's why they have to use eisegesis and philosophy (which the Bible forbids Col 2:8) to explain away the obvious verses.
Trinitarians act like, there is a hidden message in Scripture about the identity of Jesus Christ. He is not the Son of God but actually Almighty God Himself. So the Trinitarians got the secret Gnosis and the rest is ignorant. Pure esoteric Babylonian mysticism mixed with Scripture.
*Trinity World has another Jesus.*
John 10:36 Say ye of him, *whom THE Father hath SANCTIFIED,* and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because *I said, I AM the Son of God?*

Your caller you are talking to about the Trinity said that the Jewish people should sacrifice it he believe that then way don't he
This was a really good discussion.
To who?"
Is there evidence in Tanakh that it's proper to think of these as separate identities outside of how they manifest in creation?
I never saw any evidence of the trinity in the Bible

Right, so now what?
I think we should feel comfortable telling Jews: "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." - 1 Corinthians 8:6
Believing in the doctrine of the Trinity isn't required to become a Christian.
I had to get off my bed and come writing " I like Manny " :)
@ASKDrBrown but how do you have so big teeth ( and only one subscriber )
There are factors of infinity.
@ASKDrBrown Who are you giving this message to?
When Christians try to express the diety of Christ through the trinity it becomes ironic because they use scripture like genesis 18 which supports modalism. God coming down from the heavens in the form of a man is modalism. Because you can’t go anywhere in genesis and prove that god in heaven and the Holy Spirit which is the ruach are coexisting in a unified way in this instance. No. In genesis 18 it’s one god operating as one entity, without the mention of any god or spirit aiding him.
The infinite isnt divided but if you times infinity by 3 you still have infinity. If you divide infinity by 3 you still have infinity.
@aattitude No there is a big difference. They aren't three gods. They are all of the same essence, the same nature. The Father, His Word and His Spirit.

No genuine orthodox jew is going to agree that one of the three angels in Genesis was God regardless of scriptural indication.

@@justchilling704 yes I definitely would. That means that on some level he was deserving of the name change that was reflective of the victory over the "dark" angel he had spent the night wrestling with.. in addition to other angles of interpretation. If I recall correctly the passage itself says ויאבק איש עמו עד עלות השחר

so from the words alone all we see is that he wrestled with some guy.

An Angel/Messenger appeared to Moses in the burning bush:
Exodus 3: 2; Acts 7:30
An Angel/Messenger went ahead of the nation of Israel in a pillar of cloud by day and column of fire by night:
Exodus 13:21; Exodus 14:19; Exodus 32: 34; Numbers 20: 15,16.
It was an Angel/Messenger acting as God's representative that spoke with Moses on Mt. Sinai at the transmitting of the Law and Commandments:
Acts 7: 38, 53; Galatians 3:19; Hebrews 2: 1, 2.
No one has ever seen Jehovah/Yahweh God in any form at any time.
Exodus 33: 17 - 22; Deuteronomy 4: 12, 15,16; John 1:18; John 6: 46; 1 John 4:12
Trinitarians have to reject the principle of Agency, because that in itself destroys the erroneous teaching that God is triune and that He literally came to earth in the form of a man.
