  • Watch to see if this dent will pop out using glue.
    Hey, I’m Steven from www.exceldentremoval.com I’m going to use glue and a dent lifter to pull out this dent. You will see the process on how using the glue method can safely pull out a dent without having to use a body shop to fill it with bondo and repaint.
    ✅ Check out my customers 5 Star Review for this repair
    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ goo.gl/maps/qkRvhEuA8vL2
    My customer brought in his brand new 2018 Honda Accord to have me use paintless dent repair to take out this dent. Now he actually drove further than most would to have me do the repair because he wanted an excellent repair. He had already took the car to another dent guy near him and decided that his option was not the best for his car. He had wanted to drill an access point inside the door jamb in order to access the back of the dent. While this may have worked, though the area that was damaged does have limited access this way, it was not the best option for a brand new car.

    This dent in the right rear quarter panel of the car was caused when my customers bike tire fell and hit the side leaving this 4-inch dent. My customer had his new car just a week when this happened and still had the dealer plates on the car and not even 1000 miles yet.
    I started to remove this dent using glue and was able to get a major amount of the dent out, but it still wasn’t enough for our standards. Especially on a new car. It did still take several times using many different glue tabs to slowly pull out the small areas of the dent.
    The other option was to use some PDR tools and with access inside the trunk be able to make small pushes to finish the dent. I did attempt this but the access was not good enough to do it properly.
    Paintless Dent Removal is the best option to repair the dents in your new car. Some of the benefits compared to using a bodyshop are:
    ✳️ Cost Savings
    ✳️ Time Savings
    ✳️ Better Quality Repair
    ✳️ Excellent Results
    ✳️ Increased Car Value
    ✳️ Better For the Environment
    Now you may have seen other video where they stick the glue tab on the car and just pop out the dent like it was magic. Well, that isn’t really how it works. When the metal on a car is dented it does not just pop out and it needs to be molded back into place.
    When we use the glue tabs and PDR glue sticks we have to use just a small amount of glue and just certain glue tabs that will shape and conform to just the right spot on the dent. Doing this brings up the dent slowly and in such a precise way as do not cause further damage and get a smooth result.

      Will the glue method you had used on that Honda work on dings that have a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on the body panel? My car has a ding at the same location (rear right quarter panel) but that panel has a PPF on it. Thanks for any insight sir.

      No it will not work. It will either tear or pull off the film.

I hope to have someone like you in my country...I have the same problem the the side and edge of my door..the dent professional says that they can't help much as they can't twitch from the door panel, inside out. Thanks for the help- I'm doing body work on a car that will get a new paint job down the
    road, so besides using a dolly and a hammer I wanted to try glue pulling.
    I happen to watch a guy who puts clear shipping tape over the dent so he would not pull
    any of the original paint while pulling out the dent.
    One thing I did not tell you was I have been trying to pull the dent out on bare metal and
    I get no where, so I tried the clear tape over the dent & bare metal and it worked.
    I guess the glue needs something like paint to create a good bond and the tape does
    the trick.
    Thanks for your help

    If i have dents on the inside of my door pillar would it be better to pull the dent this method but they are very sharp little dents (seatbelt buckle got slammed by passenger when they were closing the door) or just have them bondo... I'm planning on spraying over the car.

    • @exceldentremoval
      @exceldentremoval  4 роки тому

      If the dents are sharp then glue pulling probably won’t help with those dents.
      I’ve repaired those type of dents before. It usually requires removing the inner door panel for access behind the dents to push them out.

    • @exceldentremoval
      @exceldentremoval  5 років тому

      +Haard Dwivedi Glue pulling may also work for your dent. If there is open access I would usually try to get behind the dent and use PDR tools to push out the dent. Dents in the lower part of the door offer require removing the inner door trim for access.
      Sometimes both methods of glue pulling and pushing from the inside are used.

      @exceldentremoval  5 років тому

      +TC Vlogs The average cost for paintless dent removal can usuallly start at $100, then $25-$100 is add per inch in size. This is based on many factors including the location of the damage and the difficulty factors to repair it.
      The dent in this video would average around $250-$400.

    What brand of glue you use? I am in Australia and all glue gun sticks I used do not hold on the car body.
    Thanks for advice.
    L.

    • @exceldentremoval
      @exceldentremoval  4 роки тому

      It could be because of the heat where you are at. If it is not holding to the panel, this could be because it needs time to cool or use something to cool the panel before and after applying the glue.
      There are also some PDR Glue that is better designed for hot and humid weather.
      I have some that I use listed on my Amazon shop here ➡️ www.amazon.com/shop/crownedcompanies?ref=exp_loc_sh_crownedcompanies
      You can also look at the selection of glue from Anson PDR.

    • @exceldentremoval
      @exceldentremoval  2 роки тому +1

      Many types of small dents can still be repaired, including if they are in a body line. It would be better if there is access behind the panel to push out the dent, but it still could be possible with glue pulling.

    • @exceldentremoval
      @exceldentremoval  4 роки тому

      There are a couple ways I’d look at it to see what the best repair method would be.
      If I could get access behind the panel thru the truck area or behind the fuel door, then I’d do that using regular PDR tools to push out the dent.
      If no access, then glue pulling it out would be the way to go.

      I thought I would have better access for PDR tools but the access I had wasn’t enough unless I would have taken out the tail light, which would have required removing the bumper. I figured I could finish it with just pulling out the dent instead of having to take all the extra apart, which would have increased the cost to do the repair.

      +Jimbo Obrense We usually use special glue designed for dent removal on cars. These glues are less likely to damage the paint. There are different kinds for different temps.
      There are several glue guns that can be used. Sometimes a regular one can be used but it will depend on the temp that it uses.

      Thanks for watching!! Some dents can be difficult to also see properly to repair while also filming it. In order to see exactly what I see while working would put the camera in the way for me to see to do a proper repair.

    So if it’s such a small dent, but it’s difficult to work with and you spend the whole day working on it. Then of course you have to charge the costumer for the whole day of work. What if the costumer’s get angry when you charge him few hundred for such a small dent?

      Since I've been at this for a while, I usually can know before I start working on the car how long the dent will take to repair. I then will provide an estimate before I start the repairs.
      For this damage, it did take longer than expected since I wasn't able to use a PDR tool to work on it. But I still kept the cost the same as the estimate and did not charge more.

      Excel Dent Removal how do you know how much you have to charge? How do you know how many orders will you be able to do in one day? How do the costumer book a place in your shop?
      For example you have 4-5 cars you have to do, but it took you longer than expected, so you only finished 2 cars. What happens then? Will you charge these two more? You obviously wont work for peanuts. What will you do with the rest of the costumers?

      The paintless dent repair cost is based on the size of the damage and the additional factors that effect the repair. We have software that will calculate the estimate for us based on this.
      I have repaired thousands of cars and hundreds of thousands of dents over the last 20+ years' so I usually have a good idea on how long a repair will take. If it takes longer, it’s not usually more than 30 minutes to an hour. Since that can happen, I will usually schedule enough time for each repair or to give a “buffer” between repairs. This is also to give myself time to recover from the work. Especially if it is a difficult and labor intensive repair.

      For scheduling repairs at my shop. I will take on the bigger jobs and have the car dropped off for the day or sometimes 2 days. For hail repair it can be for 3-5 days. This gives enough time for these larger jobs and also allows to have the smaller door ding repairs done while people wait. (Usually only 30 minutes to 2 hours) or they also leave the car for a few hours.

      I have a problem with the glue i'm using, it seems to let go before any pulling happens.
      is there any info on the web that explains the different glue colors and which holds the
      best without letting go. The glue came with the kit, which was made in china.
      any good glue products that is made in america that you would recommend
      and do the colors of the glue have anything to do with the strength of the glue ?
      Thanks

      Here are a few PDR glues I use and recommend. They are listed in my amazon shop

      There could be a few reasons why the glue isn’t holding or the dent is not coming out.
      They can be ambient temps being to cold or to hot. Average panel temp should be around 70-80 degrees.
      Could be proper panel prep. Surface should be clean and free of wax. Also if there is a ceramic coating on the car, the glue won’t stick.
      Other thing could just be that the dent is to sharp or not possible to repair with glue pulling.

    You must have some crap bodyshops over there if after the repair it diminishes the cost of the car.
    Also any panelbeater worth their salt could metal file a small repair like that without using a filler.
    Pdr is great but please stop bitching about bodyshops.

      Yes, you are correct. There are some body shops that do excellent work. I regularly send people over to a few select shops that need paint work done since these shops are the best at what they do.
      These shops and many of the car body repairers will have me fix the dents because they don't what to have to paint the car. Especially when it is their own car. 🙂
      This is because having to paint a car does reduce the car value when there is no factory finish. Many people don't know how bad the damage originally was since many panels have to be painted. This will reduce the trade in value or resale. Not something that is wanted on a brand new car. (My customer specified he did not want any noticeable repairs on his new car)
      Again, there are still some excellent body shops that can do great work.
