Another thing massively underrated about the scoreboard is the very upper bracket of players can use the scoreboard to ult track if they pay attention, I mean obviously it comes naturally to ult track your mirror but in gm and above I've definitely seen people track many different ults based off the scoreboard, or even just reassure your own ult tracking of your mirror if possible. But I'm glad to see they did point out the self growth off comparing their own stats to the enemy mirror to improve or change their gameplay. Another use of the scoreboard as a tank/support main myself you can see if your dps are dying often and think how you can protect them better, are you missing the opportunity to peel for them. I definitely think scoreboards are immensely good to show for many reasons for self growth or strategy, but obviously there are gonna be toxic people who abuse the system, you can't please everyone but it's way more helpful than harmful.
Second this! I play in a uni team, and I mostly do the ult tracking, and tracking damage/healing stats helps with it, especially when it's the start of the game and it's a koth/push, where first fights are really important. You can use the scoreboard to bash your random dps player for not doing enough damage or something, but in the end, that's still mostly shifting the blame from yourself and trying to look away from the fact that you could do better. In general, stats are really good and helpful and I like the ow2 system way more than the "I have 5 gold medals as moira!" one from ow1.
I think that [that pink mercy is exclusive] “reason” was invalidated by blizzard themselves recently, they released every limited time event skin (nano cola, bastet, dr. Ziegler, etc., along with the All Stars skins if you want a paid skins comparison) The community thought all those skins were exclusive, just like pink mercy “if you weren’t there, too bad”, but not according to blizzard. The only REAL reason they don’t re release pink mercy is because they can’t make money out of it since 100% of the revenue went to charity. 9:14 I was there, I wanted that skin, I wanted to support the cause, but I had no money and got paid 2 days after it was gone, if it was there for much longer it wouldn't have been like this but 1-2 weeks for a Charity Skin back then was asking alot
i agree about the bystander effect in overwatch voice chat (or most games with vc). if people aren't outright joining in on the harassment, they're letting it happen and my thing is not taking a stance IS taking a stance. you're letting the problem happen right in front of you which means you have to have some level of comfort with the issue to let it go unchecked. even a 1-line "yo that's fuckin toxic" helps because you're taking a hard-stance that bullying doesn't sit right with you.
I want breast cancer mercy back for 2 reasons I like the skin and wanna buy it It incentivises people who want the skin to donate to a good cause, who wouldn't otherwise
it was kinda different back then, when skins were easier to get. Right now obviously pretty much everyone would choose the money you spend on skin to go to charity instead of blizzard because every skin is expensive anyway
It was a collaboration project, and specifically limited time, so players would have an incentive to purchase the skin. It probably would be better to just make an entirely new and unique skin to promote another charity.
Hot take suggestion: Smaller nerfs harm balance/the characters more than larger nerfs. (My explanation for this is that everytime blizzard does baby nerfs, it always end up where we keep 6-12 months of broken character that ends up being unplayable. Its easier to fix a character that got nerfed hard than a character that gets every aspect of their kit nerfed over 6-12 months)
10:00 i dont entirely agree. As long as you are a good player with good game sense you can win games without any communication whatsoever. Ive gotten to masters dps twice on 2 accounts this season and each time i pretty much never joined vc or text chat. There just isnt any reason to until you get to high masters, the chat is either dead silent with no comms, only picking up when someone flames someone else, or if there are comms they are trash comms that serve no actual purpose
It's hard for me to join chat only to hear people yelling things out and it becomes difficult to focus on what I'm doing. I trust my own awareness and hearing sounds much more than others.' It's also extremely toxic most of the time. I definitely experience the worst since I one-trick but OW vc could make the most innocent people feel terrible
Hot take suggestion, inspired by the post-win-streak loss one: "The game makes you lose after you leave mid-match." Referring to casual matches of course, where you can't rejoin. Every time it happens, whether I have a power outage, need to go for something, or just get too tilted, my next match, no matter how long later, will be a losing one. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need to punish that kind of behavior, but that's what the XP penalty is for. Making players pay double is just gonna scare them away. It also creates a snowball of getting into losing games, wanting to leave them, and then getting penalized for leaving too many, literally using one punishment to force you into getting the other one as well.
Must be nice to have two supports following you around as tank. All my games consist of an Ana trying to 1v1 the Widow and failing and a DPS Moira who is so far in the enemy backline, she might as well be in another game.
Right exactly what I was thinking when she said that. Half the time I'm begging for a scrap of healing from my supports while they're inting into the dps thinking they can win every duel and proceed to be reality checked.
A lot of dps mains, especially in the mid-high ranks, have their highest role be support, me included. I have like 70% of my playtime on dps yet I'm still dia 4 on it while I'm dia 3 on support. As long as you save your abilities for the right moment , you get so much value, and those are usually incredibly easy to land or use. What you also need is positioning, and you're set. People make the argument that you have to focus both on your and the enemy team as support, which is fair, but the tools you get to do what you gotta do are usually incredibly forgiving, especially the healing side. Mechanical skill on most supports has a way lower skill ceiling, while they only need a bit more positioning knowledge and target priority.
I don’t see the issue with people wanting Pink Mercy back for the skin. The reasons why someone wants the skin is irrelevant, whether or not they actually care about the charity is irrelevant. The money still goes to the charity regardless of the intentions of the buyer. I think we should bring Pink Mercy back to give a chance for people who couldn’t buy the skin back then to get it AND to support breast cancer awareness. Actually, I think it’s weird to not want to bring the skin back because why would you want to deny potentially a lot of money being raised for a charity?
You can raise money for charity… literally any charity… and not bring pink mercy back. Hence why I kept bringing up the idea of a Lupus awareness skin. Charity skins are a great idea, but people need to stop acting like Pink Mercy & Breast Cancer are the only ones that matter.
@@ChristalRaine 100% we should have new charity events in Overwatch. But, why can’t we do a breast cancer awareness/Pink Mercy event in addition to new charity events? It doesn’t have to be one or the other. I would love the Pink Mercy event for breast cancer awareness month and a new purple skin for Lupus Awareness month.
100% agree with Skiesti and Cupcakke about the Pink skin. It’s bizarre how much fake altruism people have regarding that skin lol Also with voice chat, I like to just turn voice chat volume down to 0 if it goes south. That way I can still make my own callouts at least, even if they’re screaming in chat lol
About the Pink Mercy, I don't care about the Altruism, I just think It does look the best and making It limited Is just ridiculous If you didn't get it. I think most people might feel that way too, but If It helps the charity (assuming It actually helps), then It's a great way to get people to pay who are amoral. As for Voice chat, I'm not "innocent" enough to be affected by what people are saying or need to mute, Ignorance Is another overcoming obstacle as well (many people have It).
Losing after a winning streak is the most logical thing. Assuming your mmr is aligned with your skill level, a lucky winning streak boosts your mmr above your skill level, and it is only logical that the match maker will put you into lobbies above your skill level, so of course you will lose until your mmr is back to your real skill level.
While the public scoreboard can do more harm than good, it helps when recently my teams genji would not stop complaining about a lack of healing despite having half the damage of the enemy kiriko and our team having the higher healing overall. It also helped to learn he was silver 4 in a plat 3 lobby...
Suggestion for the disagree/agree system if the character goes to the very edge of the circle (facing the wall) than that take should be taken as strongly disagree/agree
my hot take is bringing back the lootbox system but the items in it are old skins and not the ones in store so that new players can atleast get something
They can also add things that we can buy with the new currency that is just for Hero Gallery stuff. That would allow new players to get voice lines, sprays, highlight intros, etc. It would also allow og players to get what they weren’t able to get before. :)
Hotter take about Pink Mercy: The argument about people exhibiting fake altruism over the Pink Mercy skin is true but actually disingenuous for most people, especially for those who received the skin when the event was running, as they also likely never "Googled Breast Cancer Awareness" and gave of their own accord prior to acquiring the skin themselves. Furthermore, those people with the skin who want to keep it exclusive are being even more disingenuous, because all they really want is to keep that special feeling of exclusivity over others rather than being concerned about fake altruism. I really see no harm in Blizzard opening the skin up again just as long as it is for the same exact charity and charging no less than they did at the time. If a little self-interest drives current Mercy players to give money to a charity for a harmless digital reward, then that sounds like that is a win for the player, a win for Blizzard and especially a win for the charity.
Love the show and the format and everything but one thing I have an issue with is that sometimes they answer the wrong question. The one about if the game stops you on winning streaks people are saying it’s a mentality thing after losing a few games.....but you’re in a winning streak? So how are you tilted or thinking the game is against you?
That pink mercy hot take, I agree with in that most folks who want it back for sake of cosmetics. But I think point of such event is awareness anywaus for ppl who didn't think about it to be aware sich thing exist. So I think they can do breast cancer awareness again if they wanted but with diff skin.
why are we making a crime out of wanting pink mercy bc it’s pretty. I have the skin, i see no issue with others wanting it bc it’s pretty and not bc of charity :)
Yeah and there’s nothing wrong with that at all! What bothers me are people who claim they want it back because “it’s for a good cause” but they could easily just donate $20 to charity themselves without a skin incentive. It’s just people who try to seem like they’re on some moral high ground but in reality they just want the pretty pink skin. Which it’s okay to want it just bc it’s pretty! But don’t pretend like you’re only demanding it back for the “good cause”. You know?
there are a lot of reasons to not be in voicechat, like, not speaking english or the language most are speaking, harrassment, loud noises from chat, playing casuals does not need voicechat, being deaf, etc.
If you aren't in vc you're throwing. Someone being a problem: mute that specific person. Can't express how often a teammate calls something out and my team loses a play because half the lobby is too lazy to join team voice and hear it. Shot callers can't be shot callers if no one (or no one who can follow up) is listening.
Pink mercy should return because of the fact it's a charity skin and can be used as such with the new influx of players. As long as the money goes to charity.
They literally can’t, it’s locked behind a contract and a charity that works for women it probably not going to do an event for a company that has SA scandals against women
I love that you can tell the age of this video merely by the reactions to the "Blizzard purposefully makes new heroes OP for marketing purposes" question as being distinctly pre-Lifeweaver release. Lifeweaver does have fans, but the reaction from the community was tepid at best upon release. Lifeweaver's controls were awkward, especially if you play on console, and had to be patched to work better, and that is not to mention a weird kit that ends up accidentally trolling far more often than the expected intentional trolling. Comments from Blizzard seem to indicate surprise that players in low ranks are seeing success with Lifeweaver far moreso than in high ranks, where the character is barely used and has a losing record despite Lifeweaver's kit seemingly being designed with high-skilled players in mind. I actually also think that both JQ and Rammattra were released underpowered (Ram was definitely the closer to good of the two at release) and only reached their true potential after a round or two of buffs. That is a different story entirely for Sojourn, who was released WAY overpowered and got so many nerfs (and not the right ones, IMO) to nearly put her in the trash bin. I know many would say Kiriko was released OP, so that makes for 2 "OP" heroes and 3 "UP" heroes, making the underpowered ones the current majority. Apparently, Lifeweaver is already getting a "rework" in Season 5, so maybe this comment, too, will end up as a historical relic when they fix the character to be average at a minimum.
I'm all for donating to charity but I don't want Blizz to do anymore charity events because, 1. I don't trust companies to vet the organizations they end up giving the money to 2. When you donate through any company they get to use the money that people gave them as "charitable donations" tax write-offs on their taxes when they didn't spend anything out of their own pocket.
I tend to avoid voice chat. Being a sombra main has gotten me a lot of harassment even if I played well. And then there’s the racism and homophobia. If people actually stood up for others then maybe it woudnt be a problem but in my experience i usually would have the whole team join in instead. Granted, that was usually in overwatch 1. And I haven’t used the chat much in 2.
For me tank is the hardest I feel like every game the tank other is just way better than me and I just struggle the whole time but when I play dps or support I just feel like I’m dominating most kills most damage least deaths every game most heals if I’m playing support
Yo I've been struggling on support, my main role since I came back for ow2, I tried playing hanzo for the first time since 2017, and I've been bodying people. Any time I'm being enabled by my supports it's been game over. So honestly I donthink DPS is easiest. There's the least to think about. I don't think it transfers to ow1, but in ow2 I def think DPS is easiest role. You just gotta shoot stuff in the face. Tank you gotta stay alive as your only tank, and you gotta take space, support has to think about everything to play effectively. As DPS just shoot stuff and now I'm a higher rank on my off role 🙃
Cool vid, cool to see what others think. keep these coming, great content :) ! Also do you or anyone know what the intro song is called ? Been trying to find it for awhile lol
I was very neutral on the Pink Mercy Topic, but hearing the Disagreer share their opinion on the topic is no different than people claiming that Mr. Beast curing 1000 Blind People is a bad thing. It’s really not about the intentions but rather the positive cause that it is doing. Even if people only care about the Skin, that is still Money being sent to save millions of lives. Your self-righteousness means 0 to the people who need resources.
Loving the improvements from last video but now I think there’s too much text clutter on screen. Maybe you could replace the words for the speaker’s rank and role with the actual rank and role symbols? Also maybe colour-coding their agree/disagree could be good too
A 50/50 charity Legendary skin for each character that gets new levels of personalization each time you buy it so you can give $10 to pandas (for example) with the Mei skin or $100 giving you huge customization.
Until Overwatch 2, I believe that Heroes were released overtuned on accident if at all. Blizzard couldn't anticipate the countless interactions unique abilities would have and some of them were such a niche that it changed the entire meta (think new shield tanks or brig) In Overwatch 2 they're 100% just overtuning new heroes for sales figures considering you can pay real money to get them day 1. Why wouldn't they? They hardly care about the health of the meta when it will inevitably just shift in compensation. We're still stuck in a sniper meta even with the fixed map pool thanks to migrating sniper players to F2P and SJ OP.
I will fully say that I want the Pink Mercy skin to come back because of both reasons - I want the skin, and I want to support a good cause. I was playing the game at the time, but money was super tight and I couldn't justify spending money on the game (despite the good cause) because my husband and I were struggling financially for a while and during the skin being sold. I've always felt badly that I couldn't contribute at the time and I always liked the skin. Currently, money is a little more loose, but we're still not out of the woods yet. At any rate, I enjoyed this a lot! I recently found your channel and appreciate everyone's opinions, this is great =)
The voice chat question as written "There is NEVER a good reason to not join VC" I very much disagree with. There are very good reasons to not even bother with voice chat below certain ranks. Nothing of value your teammates in bronze or silver VC's will will be said in 90% of those games. The rest of the time if there are any calls at all they will be wrong, or tragically delayed to the point of uselessness. I think it evens out around the top of Plat or bottom of Diamond where VC might be ok 50% of the time. I do not have experience above there, but it seems like you'd only get more value and coordination as you go up from there. But down in the trenches man... just turn it off and focus on your own mechanical play and gamesense because trust me if you are down there you NEED to work on that shit.
Skiesti is based i totally agree on pink mercy. I dislike that skin too. I jsut dislike her ponytails. The owl skin and imp skins are my favorite. The all stars is just one of thest if not the best skin for her
These videos are great. i hope to see some lower rank rep next time, as most people here were low masters supports (like myself) and I want some people with different views
yeah i want the cute skin?? id gladly pay for that skin! for a good cause or not. what the money goes to is just a really nice bonus. i like the skin and i like what it stands for! im sorry i was poor and couldnt afford it previously :(
People thinking that the new chars coming out are overtuned for MARKETING are wrong. They are over tuned because 2 reasons that are INCREDIBLY rational. 1: There is no perfectly balanced. Ever. Its either overtuned or undertuned. ESPECIALLY if its a new character. 2: You cant release a new, un-mass-tested character undertuned. No one will play it and balancing it will take much longer as the next balance patch for that character would FOR SURE be an over tune anyways to counteract the pick/win rate numbers. I am surpirsed at the amount of people that ascribe blizzard evil to this.

Skiestis take makes no sense for the Pink mercy… like she just wants to have a skin that other people don’t LMAO
100% agree with Skiesti and Cupcakke about the Pink skin. It’s bizarre how much fake altruism people have regarding that skin lol
Also with voice chat, I like to just turn voice chat volume down to 0 if it goes south.
Suggestion for the disagree/agree system if the character goes to the very edge of the circle (facing the wall) than that take should be taken as strongly disagree/agree
not necessary
my hot take is bringing back the lootbox system but the items in it are old skins and not the ones in store so that new players can atleast get something
I agree with Skiesti about the Pink Mercy
You know?
there are a lot of reasons to not be in voicechat, like, not speaking english or the language most are speaking, harrassment, loud noises from chat, playing casuals does not need voicechat, being deaf, etc.
aaa!! the updated information on screen and the pacing in this one is so good!! I wish I could leave 2 likes :(
I never cared about the charity aspect I want the skin
And there's nothing wrong with that, you're helping anyway
If you aren't in vc you're throwing. Someone being a problem: mute that specific person. Can't express how often a teammate calls something out and my team loses a play because half the lobby is too lazy to join team voice and hear it. Shot callers can't be shot callers if no one (or no one who can follow up) is listening.
Nah.
Pink mercy should return because of the fact it's a charity skin and can be used as such with the new influx of players. As long as the money goes to charity.
Right there’s literally no reason to not want it back other than feeling special for existing at the time it was released
They literally can’t, it’s locked behind a contract and a charity that works for women it probably not going to do an event for a company that has SA scandals against women
This series is soooo good!!!
On the point of making a character op at the start, Ramattra on launch was balanced and Orisa on launch was weak.
Apparently, Lifeweaver is already getting a "rework" in Season 5, so maybe this comment, too, will end up as a historical relic when they fix the character to be average at a minimum.
these are so fun to watch
I'm all for donating to charity but I don't want Blizz to do anymore charity events because,
1. I don't trust companies to vet the organizations they end up giving the money to
Was waiting for thr second part!😂❤
I hope it met your expectations and was worth the wait!!
For me tank is the hardest I feel like every game the tank other is just way better than me and I just struggle the whole time but when I play dps or support I just feel like I’m dominating most kills most damage least deaths every game most heals if I’m playing support
Love this series so far! Super fun idea!
This is an objectively good OW series 🙏
Cool vid, cool to see what others think. keep these coming, great content :) !
Also do you or anyone know what the intro song is called ? Been trying to find it for awhile lol
Honestly, the controversy surrounding them not wanting them to work with Blizzard anymore is a valid reason for it not coming back or happening again.
Also maybe colour-coding their agree/disagree could be good too
Great ideas!
I like how Fareeha is playing as Fareeha Amari.
Voice chat is a distraction and once I stopped using it I climbed to Masters after being hard stuck plat for years.
A 50/50 charity Legendary skin for each character that gets new levels of personalization each time you buy it so you can give $10 to pandas (for example) with the Mei skin or $100 giving you huge customization.
I’m a younger diamond ow2 player and Ik my voice is annoying but I rlly want to make callouts but I’m too scared after some incidents
I got a diamond 1 player as my opponent, I was gold 3. It's 100% forcing me back down. He was diamond on all 3 roles
i was just thinking, what if you did something like tank players or whatever and got a bunch of people from different ranks on that role
I like Pink Mercy cause I'm a sucker for pink skins and especially Magical Girl based ones.
Magical Girl Reaper when Blizz?
Until Overwatch 2, I believe that Heroes were released overtuned on accident if at all. Blizzard couldn't anticipate the countless interactions unique abilities would have and some of them were such a niche that it changed the entire meta (think new shield tanks or brig)
In Overwatch 2 they're 100% just overtuning new heroes for sales figures considering you can pay real money to get them day 1. Why wouldn't they? They hardly care about the health of the meta when it will inevitably just shift in compensation. We're still stuck in a sniper meta even with the fixed map pool thanks to migrating sniper players to F2P and SJ OP.
Bruh I just watched part 1 and checked the channel for part 2. AND IT JUST CAME OUT
I was waiting for you to finish watching part 1, obviously
I will fully say that I want the Pink Mercy skin to come back because of both reasons - I want the skin, and I want to support a good cause. I was playing the game at the time, but money was super tight and I couldn't justify spending money on the game (despite the good cause) because my husband and I were struggling financially for a while and during the skin being sold. I've always felt badly that I couldn't contribute at the time and I always liked the skin. Currently, money is a little more loose, but we're still not out of the woods yet.
At any rate, I enjoyed this a lot! I recently found your channel and appreciate everyone's opinions, this is great =)
Also, suggestion for demographic: Mixing casual only players and hardcore ranked players
You should do an odd one out series like on jubilee. For example 6 Mercy Players 1 Non- Mercy Player
YAAAAS i was waiting for this :D time to watch it ^^
1:20 i didnt not expect skiesti to be this based
The voice chat question as written "There is NEVER a good reason to not join VC" I very much disagree with.
Thanks for listening to my comment in the last video!! This helps a lot :D Super fun topics haha.
Of course! Thanks for the suggestion! I always appreciate feedback and apply it whenever I can :)
Skiesti is based i totally agree on pink mercy. I dislike that skin too. I jsut dislike her ponytails. The owl skin and imp skins are my favorite. The all stars is just one of thest if not the best skin for her
Very creative way to implement this in OW
Just finished part one letsss go
OverThink HAHAHA I LOVE IIIIITTTTT!!! More!
New heroes must be OP at least before getting into comp, it’s easier to get the hang of it and adjust to the buffs
Joining the discord Server was the best decision, Do It Y’all!! 💞💞💞
I was head bobbing to the music the entire time
The game will literally put you in higher ranked lobbies on a win streak. This is a fact multiple fps games do this. Even rocket league does this.
Annoying how they talked about tilting lose streaks when the question was about forced loss after a win streak. They're two different subjects
Awesome series
Fareeha! I had the pleasure of speaking with her many years ago, always love to know shes doing well
Blizzard purposely makes new heroes op for marketing purposes.
Lifeweaver isnt the pick right now and junkerqueen was meta in the beta.
Here's one for you, "Characters with high skill-ceilings should always be able to get more value than characters with low skill-ceilings"
1:56 aged well
8:34 Based Skiesti
"skill dif" what made her think that was a way to say things nicely XDD, love all of them though. Great opinions
These videos are great. i hope to see some lower rank rep next time, as most people here were low masters supports (like myself) and I want some people with different views
I HAVE SUBSCRIBED!. Anyways.... thank you for your time and video
I also found out skiesti was Canadian that day
i think dps is the simplest roll; not the easiest
yeah i want the cute skin?? id gladly pay for that skin! for a good cause or not. what the money goes to is just a really nice bonus. i like the skin and i like what it stands for! im sorry i was poor and couldnt afford it previously :(
People thinking that the new chars coming out are overtuned for MARKETING are wrong.
I am surpirsed at the amount of people that ascribe blizzard evil to this.
you should also join the lobby and explain your reason as well.
I'm loving these
I am on mute half the time because I still live at home and my parents have a lot of disagreements
everything i stood for is objectively more correct
DOPE ASS CONTENT. The pizza God Approves
Why did karQ leave his takes would be amazing
