One of my favorite thinking variants. It still sounds just as intense as its battle variant, though this sounds almost like Scissors is taunting you in hopes that you make a wrong move. So really, it's the complete opposite of what these themes are supposed to do...and I love that.
You can hear the medieval vibes in this song, especially here in the Thinking phase. Coupled that with Scissors's dialogue and they clearly intended for it to be like, a stoic, yet honourable knight. ...What kind of honourable knight cuts peoples' faces off to make a Paper monstrosity!?
I like how the thinking themes are the exact same themes as the normal themes, but with the main melody removed, so you can both focus on the ring moving part, AND maybe hum the main theme as you go along.
Scissors was already present as a magical almost-sentient being in Sticker Star. And the Fan was present in the next game in line, Color Splash. Honestly I’d be a *fan* of the fan becoming a boss in the next paper mario game.
