How do you apply to be a charger? for lime and bird? and where do you get the chargers to charge them?
So I was reading the agreement and it says . That a certified electrician needs to come out and safety check the charging area.? Did someone come out or did Bird just send you the charging equipment ? What happens between signing up to making contact with any equipment or personal from Bird.?
Wait so all I need to do is set up my bank information and when I’m done charging the scooters at the end of the day they will transfer the money to my bank account right?

i applied and was approved the next day. ordered chargers and where delivered with in two days after that.

Am I able to pick up a scooter near me at my job then take it home and put it back near my home? My house is 23mins away from where I work.

I'm a new charger. Once in charger mode, I see a lot of available birds but the charge on them are at 100% should I scout them out or leave them?? PS, it's 5pm

Don't attempt to search for them because chances are, they are no longer in that same location. They are lost or stolen.
Most of these shits are stolen in Phx.
1st day as a charger. After reading some articles and seeing other vids of other people troubles I feel I didn't have too bad of a day compared to other rookies.
#1 I feel right its pretty imperative you be out there around 9pm when they shutoff to get the most profitable birds if your gonna be in busy area's. I drive for lyft and sometimes I can be anywhere and might luck out and find a decent one out there where few chargers would go. Obviously you can grab em before that, after that it becomes slim pickings..
#2 The GPS on locating birds is a joke. It might be 20% accurate at best, red or green scooters..
#3 Apparently nests appear in phases.. It was around 430am when my last scooter was ready n chargerd and I looked at the nests and man do they disappear fast.. I got to my nest but had little time to figure out how to properly do it and by the time I did, I missed my reservation. So I sat in my car and watched as I tried and failed to find new nests and looking all over the map as it was barren with nests dropoffs. But then all the sudden around 6am a new wave of nests popped up and I dropped them off and called it a day.
I'm sure things will get better and down the road I'll ask other chargers any tips, but I'm not sure if they'll oblige. I drive for lyft and in that community most if not all drivers are willing to help you out and give you pointers but the system is there where everyone can get theirs. Its not like that for bird chargers so competition will definitely be more fierce.
I've tried to find birds for 2 days now.. I'm 0/10 the gps shows bird there on the map but no where in sight

How long does it take to get approved in order to start charging , or for bird to contact you? I applied and completed the training about 2 weeks ago, but they said they would contact me to let me know when chargers would be available.
I'm still waiting for a reply as well... And I thought three days was too much 😅

Sometimes they take awhile, they took about 2 weeks or so to get back at me. But it’s solid, if not try contacting them
Nah they took like a month maybe a lil more to finally text me about my vehicle info but once they finally shipped the chargers out I got em in like 3 days
What if it's not showing the become a charger option on the app

So the question is, do I absolutely need to be actively picking up and charging scooters every day of the week? Or can I do it just a couple of nights a week.
You can do it just a couple of nights a week if you want.

Has anybody ran into the problem where you find a bird on the map to capture and you finally reach the bird and their are not any other birds within miles and the partial bird ID is different than what is on the scooter? Clearly it's the correct scooter according to the gps and no other scooters are around for miles but the scooter ID does not match the scooter ID that's shows on the app while standing at the gps point.
bmw52795 I had this happen today. When I asked for help they said send a screenshot so they can better assist.
My Bird app is not purple is just white. Did I get the wrong app?
Also how much electricity does this thing take up
I have been approved as a charger and got my chargers in the mail but there's no toggle in my app to go into charger mode. I already updated my app and still don't see the charger menu. Help?

In the second step of becoming a bird charger, it asked me for my tax info, in other words, it asked for my SSN. I'm skeptical about doing it now, should I be worried about that?
They must want to know that as early as possible because they have an obligation to report your earnings to the government if you make enough. In the 4th step of the sign up process, you are given several screens-worth of the charger agreement. I emailed myself screenshots of it. In it, you agree to fill out and send them a W-9 form upon their request after your earnings exceed $500 in a calendar year. After that, they say they will send the government a 1099 to report all of your earnings to them. In other words, save the appropriate amount of your earnings to pay the government which is hefty if you are self-employed status as you are in this case. I'm going to put aside 40% of mine just in case I stick with it. So far, I've already seen about 20 decoys on the map and only found 3. One of them was near 5 decoys on the map, one was near 4 different decoys, but leaned against someone's house in their yard (not worth the risk) and the final one I just happened upon and it wasn't even on the app maps (to ride or to charge).
Good question...I'm nervous about giving out my social. Can I use an EIN number instead? I plan on applying for one so I can start a VA business.
Since starting, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CAPTURE ANY BIRDS I come across. Just in one day, I tried to scan/capture 4 birds, all with updated location, low price and green. Getting the same message. "NO BOUNTY. We're sorry. This Bird is not available to capture."
So...what's up???? Am I doing something wrong. I smell a scam.

this is a miss representation, the ones that pay $20 are almost impossible to find and you don't make much money at all. Ive been charging for bird for 1 month now and have only gotten lucky to find 1 in my complex. so ive made $4 in 1 month using bird.

**IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A BIRD CHARGER READ THIS FIRST**
I was very happy and eager to use bird from the beginning because I'm always looking for extra ways to make money however Bird is a complete waste of time. The very first time I tried to capture a bird I had issues but was on a time constraint so I decided to not pursue it. The second time I did it I was excited because with more time I finally was able to capture and release 2 birds correctly. However, this past Wednesday I went out on a very rainy day to try my luck and to my surprise, I found 8 birds! The payout would have been $58 so I was excited.
Through the help desk, it tells you that when you capture a bird if it's damaged then to mark it as so through the app. This isn't something that you are able to do... And two of the birds that I picked up that were damaged to the point that they were unscannable. After looking at the serial number and finding the birds names that way I was all set! ... or so I thought!
The next morning I went out (in the rain) to drop off these birds in some of the most sketchy and ghetto places I didn't know existed in my city. To my surprise, an alert popped up with EVERY single bird that I had scanned with ease the night before saying that they were not birds found under "my tasks" but indeed they were! Given that it was 5am, dark and homeless/weird people were walking around myself as well as my car I took pictures of where I left the bird and a picture of everything else.. Where I left it, How I left it, The name of the birds.. everything. After dropping off all birds, I emailed support asking for assistance to get paid and guess what... it NEVER HAPPENED.. all that time, all the effort, a complete waste.
I've been emailing the bird support every single day since this happened to try and get this issue resolved.. asking them to call me but there's never a response or if there is a response then it's asking for my email which I've given like 2-3 times now. I will NEVER collect birds EVER again and I suggest you all do the same. Horrible Customer Service. Horrible.
Exactly. Back in OCT everything worked perfectly for 2months. Every night not a single issue. Then when it got cold in mid December suddenly there were "errors" birds were removed from my task list even though I provided all documentation pics and screenshots. They simply stopped paying people. I'm trying to figure out how to file a class action law suite for the money that they owe me and obviously plenty of other people that they have been ripping off.
App looks completely different now
DO NOT CHARGE BIRDS!!!! I don't know about the other companies but bird will cancel task on you and not pay. They have so many errors on release. Even when you think they have been fixed the moment it gets cold they will stop paying you even when you send in documentation. They are purposely taking advantage of chargers and not paying them.
