- In this video, I'll show you guys how I increased the stock speed (15 mph) on my Segway Bird ES4-800 to the top speed of 22 mph. This is for educational purposes only and I am not responsible for anything that you do or any law that you may break. Make sure you check and abide to your local scooter laws!

I've found that when hacking ES4 scooter the best safe settings are 50000 mpc, 40km top speed, KERS stock, (2nd setting uncheck the box)and 3km scooter start engage speed.
What's the range now that you have it to 22mph?
How did you get the Bluetooth on?
theres a chip on the mother board that need to be remove. theres a video on yt that show you how to.
Hey, I just purchased a bird flex and I am having trouble finding out how to connect to blue tooth, or if the flex even comes equipped with Bluetooth? Any info?
You have the BIRD from Walmart? Did you do any mod to the board before flashing?

Thank you for the video. I get stuck when I'm trying to load the file from es down g app to the scooter. It gets to 80% then says "canceled due to retry" and it freezes. Any feedback to assist?
@JABTheWiseGuy so I reached out to Segway and the company that I purchased my refurbished es4-800 from. Essentially it's a Frankenstein scooter and mine should not have been Bluetooth enabled to even attempt a software upgrade. Refurbished models will not have the ability to have firmware updated. My Model had 2 different SNs (sticker said one thing, app said another).
@JABTheWiseGuy I have not. TBH I have been pretty lucky as it runs pretty smooth and I am a bigger guy. I did do a hard reset and I was able to enable cruise control when you hold down for 5 consecutive seconds

i got mine up to 25 today. not sure how i did it. i was just tapping the power button

Once I simply attach at do I have to do anything after to set up the extended battery or will it give me the extended battery life by simply attaching the new battery? bts I'm talking about the attachable battery. looking forward to your response.

Does it have cruse control? It looks like in your video when you push the throttle long enough, it'll engage the cruise control?

I have a es4-800 and it doesn't have bluetooth? Or am I doing something wrong?
@@HBV90 I got the bluetooth to work by replacing the dash. Everything works like it should, but my BLE version isn't in the list. Mine says BLE version is 99.9.9. Any ideas?
@Jin Thao You mentioned 'improved torque', does it now climb better? I'm not impressed by my Bird ES4-800's gradeability despite the 800W motor, performs the same as my previous GoTrax with a 250W motor. Would be great if gradeability could be increased with your hack. Thanks

Can’t seem to connect to my scooter.. Bluetooth doesn’t show on the dashboard but the app did recognize but won’t give any info on the scooter. What do you think I could do?

How did you enable Bluetooth? I have the same exact scooter, but I don’t have Bluetooth connectivity, hence this can’t this work. I know my scooter has Bluetooth, but it’s been disabled by manufacturer. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello. I've not been able to find any instructions on how to do this to my scooter, with an iPhone. I couldn't find those apps, in the Apple App store. Do you have/know a video to who how to do this with an iPhone?

Jin Thao I wanna ask you about my segway es4 that I got to goto 22mph why when riding it sometimes it feels like it is putting on the brakes but not alot just lightly is that cause of it betting so fast? Cause I flash the firmeware to make it go only 20 mph it won't do it then
@@HBV90 I see something in the software flashing app something called KERS is this the one you are suppose to change cause in the software flashing video they say that should be left unchecked
@@HBV90 There is no option to set it low or high it's only has Stock KERS and a option for no KERS
@@darrel562 Hi there. There's 2 Kers settings first one should be left stock and 2nd Kers setting should be unchecked. You don't want to disable Kers. It screws up the scooters electric braking system making it very touchy and sensitive. It could even be dangerous if part of scooter malfunctioned..very technical stuff. I accidentally disabled the KERS setting leaving 2 part ✔️)(checked)....make sure you unchecked it....I had to go back and change setting and reflash scooter

@@darrel562 well all I can tell you is that the scooter is safer and feels better leaving 1st KERS setting to stock and unchecking the 2nd KERS setting/box. My scooter isn't doing any auto-breaking, another rider thought rode nice/perfect also. Stock ES4 does 17.5mph. Hacked Es4 will go 20mph with 50000 mpc setting, top speed 40km set -with a 130lb or even 170lb rider. you will also gain some power/torque from 0-20mph with these safe settings. Es4 will NOT go 22mph; not possible w/safe hack settings. 22mph was with scooter running free-air without person actually riding it.

Use it like a regular scooter to start then the scooter will be able to start moving by itself and you can press the go button
