  • How Does Charging Lime Scooters Work? Juicing Lime Scooters is a very easy and lucrative way to make money full time or even just on the side. When it comes to working for Lime, there are 4 different ways to make money. I bought my chargers on Facebook Marketplace for $5.00 each. You can buy new one's off of amazon for less than $20.00. Here is a link to one that I would recommend. amzn.to/3HxND9s.

    Excellent job. I used to charge limes in 2020 and was doing other things in 21 so your video was very helpful in finding out what changes they made in the last year. I plan to charge full time again soon! I just bought a 1977 Chevy van just to haul scooters

      @enduringfinances  2 роки тому +2

      Glad it was helpful! The van will work great to haul the scooters around. How many do you think you'll be able to fit in it?

      @@enduringfinances it's a pretty big van, I'm going to attempt to get 25-30 at a time. Here in Cincinnati it's easy to find a lot of them very close together downtown and I only live 7 minutes from downtown. I have some old chargers but I think I need new ones now? I'll probably just order 30 of them on Amazon.

    Nice video. Great organizational skills keeping track of everything! I came across this video as I was looking into how to how to get lime scooters in my town. Can you tell me if your city already had scooters? I sent lime a message to see how to go about starting one up for we have nothing like this. I'm sad to hear they're slower. We had a blast riding these in DC during covid when it was a ghost town.

      Glad it was helpful! Lime was already up and running in my city when I joined up. As of now, they will be the only scooter company moving forward.

    Hi Enduring I just came from a reddit post and checked out your guide to Juicing, impressively done. Looking forward to getting started with this besides grinding DD and other gig apps, how well is juicing holding up for you in 2022?

    • @enduringfinances
      @enduringfinances  Рік тому +1

      Hey, thanks! Juicing has held up very well in my area this year! They expanded more on the local college campus so it will likely be running until the snow hits in December. What area are you looking at working?

    Great video, do you know what holidays they give the bonuses for?

    • @enduringfinances
      @enduringfinances  Рік тому

      They primarily give bonuses for the " traditional major" spring and summer holidays. Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Labor Day Weekend. They may do other holidays depending on the location and task volume.

    I just started picking up lime scooters about 3 months ago. They pay out at $4.50 to charge them in Raleigh North Carolina and $2 to $2.50 to pick them up and take them to the lime warehouse and $1.25 to pick them up from the warehouse and drop them off. I have 12 Chargers right now and looking to buy more so hopefully I can make more also they have the 5 amp chargers out to now they charge scooters in like a hour or 2.

    I made this same comment on your blog: The 7PM and 10AM times are not universal; they are market dependent, although those times are the most common in the US.

    Do they take taxes out automatically? & would you suggest renting a truck/uhaul?

    • @enduringfinances
      @enduringfinances  2 роки тому

      Lime does not take taxes out automatically. They sent me a 1099-NEC which outlined how much money I earned last year. Then I added that information in when I completed my taxes and took deductions for the gas and other costs associated with operating.
      About renting a truck... that would really depend on what city you lived in how many scooters are available to harvest. If they income earns will cover the cost of renting and you can still make a good return then it could be completely worth it. But, that would require a really good scooter area like Seattle offers or a larger city.

    Well I really admire you for your efforts. I live in Australia (outside the city) & when I recently visited a city I thought WTF are all these scooters laying about the place……and that eventually led me to here 😂
    I can’t imagine Australians working for $12-$15 an hour…… Aussies wouldn’t get out of bed for that, so I wonder what they’re paying here? 🤷. The price of fuel here is insane, vehicle servicing is expensive as are tyres and even electricity is through the roof. On top of that the tax would be 21% of what you earnt once you earnt over $18,200/annum although I’d suggest there’s a few tax deductions there as well.
    Whilst I was in the city (it’s a proxy little city btw) I saw scooters in the middle of the road, in gardens, on trains, all over the place and I could see nobody appeared to be looking after them…..AND I WONDERED WHO WAS JUICING THEM UP 🤣
    You’re such a nice young lady, hard worrying and you deserve to do well, if I suddenly get rich and Entrepreneurial I will hit you up and give you a CEO job doing something else……but don’t hold your breath 😂. I think you did a great job explaining all of this.
    Stay safe, don’t hurt itself juggling scooters. I liked & subbed. Cheers mate 👍

      Hey thanks for the support! Glad to have you along for this crazy ride!
      I know bikes are big in Sydney and from from I can tell, Lime is offering around $7 a bike to move them around. That would be about double what they are paying here in the States. Luckily, I am able to write off the gas & mileage and the wear and tear to my vehicle when it comes to taxes.

    • @GR8Tmate
      @GR8Tmate Рік тому

      @@enduringfinances Ohhh ok, that’s interesting, I thought they’d have to pay more here as job generally here have higher pay rate (for example waitresses get paid much more in Australia than the USA B U T, Australia does NOT have a culture of tipping, so an Aussie Waitress couldn’t live off her tips, probably a evenings tips would buy her the gas needed to get to the restaurant 😂
      Like the USA someone juicing LIME bikes/scooters could offset their expenses in their Tax.
      The difficulty I could see in a place like Sydney would parking, it would be difficult to park to collect scooters and expensive. It’s difficult to find parking on the street, loading zones are often full and there’s be a risk of getting a fine depending on what time of the day you gathered scooters.
      Anyway, I hope they adjust their rate upwards for you to make your life easier. I think the big problem with this business, I’m led to believe is that they’re not actually profitable as the scooters are expensive and not lasting and are being broken through malicious damage, misuse etc etc. It’s a shame people behave that way.

    Have they changed the process? I tried to sign up and they say you need an llc now?

    • @enduringfinances
      @enduringfinances  2 роки тому

      I just checked the website and I don't see anything that has changed. You should not need an established company or LLC to operate as a Juicer. You act as an independent contractor for them. I would try this link, help.li.me/hc/en-us/requests/new, and submit a request with the help center of lime. They might be able to help you more with your application.

    How many days was it doing the 65 hours of work? Was it a little over 2 weeks? 16 days?

    • @enduringfinances
      @enduringfinances  2 роки тому

      It took me 24 days but, some of those days were me picking up a couple on my way home from work. Most of this was 2-3 hour blocks at a time picking up 15-20 scooters at a time.

      I know! But they did increase some of the scooters by $0.25 - $0.50 a piece. Still a lot of money going towards gas...

      If you don't have the ability to move a lot of scooters at once, it probably isn't worth it. Especially with gas prices so high now!
