IT WORKED! Just make sure you drain ALL the water from that rubber tube as he did w/ that 2nd step of bending the the tube. (I had to do it twice) THANK YOU!!!!

Mine was DE code, and , The way I have dealt with that for years, is to unplug when it goes ding dong, ding dong....press the pause for 5 seconds, plug back in, then hit power.....that almost always works.....HOWEVER after 20 attempts, it didn't sooooooooo , I removed that drain plug and filter, gave it a good cleaning, (soap and water deep cleaning) put it back in, not overtightening .....closed the trap door, and voila, kicked in first time! THANK YOU!!!

Opened the washer and never touched the hose as I assumed it was fluff.... just opened hose now and machine works :-)
The washer is in the spin cycle trying to extract the water, and the code OE indicates it's not able to drain the water properly with the drain pump going.
Check to see if the drain hose hookup in the back is improperly installed at too high a level, within a maximum height of 96". The hose is shorter than that so that shouldn't be a problem unless the hose was extended for the installation for some reason.
Also check that the drain hose isn't kinked or obstructed. It's very stiff so it's not too prone to that though.

My hot point Aquarius WT540 washing machine does not spin and Wash Enhance and On/Off lights start flickering

That error code is for an unbalanced load. Add more items then run a load. Front load washers run best with a few more items in them. Really small or one item loads will cause unbalanced load errors.
The code here was OE, not UE, which is where the washer is unable to balance the load for the high speed spin cycle.
OE is an output error where it's not able to drain the water out, due to an obstructed drain hose, drain pump strainer here, or maybe failing drain pump.
The strainer basket doesn't seem to show much debris normally, probably depends on what your wash contains.

Incase anyone is having this issue here's how I got mine to work so simple *
My screen wasn't working it had the sound but no lights no action .. so we opened the top & in the far left corner is a white box ( mother board) it had shaken the box So bad it fell - all we did was carefully hang it back up & now it's working perfectly!
Phew..I did NOT want to have to buy a new washer - repair man said it would be $100 just to come out & LOOK AT IT not including parts
OE means that your washer is draining slowly or not draining at all
From the manual:
Straighten out any kinks in the drain
hose and make sure the hose is not
pinned against the wall or under the
washer. Remove and flush out the
drain hose to remove clogs. Adjust
or repair the drain. Maximum drain
height is 96 inches.
I'd make sure there drain hose outlet isn't too high, as the drain pump has limited capacity to pump up to a height above the bottom of the washer.

If you have to drain water out of your washer most likely your drain pump is bad
