I'm glad you bought from Scores and Bores. He is an awesome guy. I got him to make his first stencil, for my bee hives. He is down the the road from me. Plastic stencils didn't last long and he said that he could make me a metal one. It will last a lifetime! I sent him a few customers and asked him if he could ship to my uncle out of state. I put an add in every bee club I could find for him and told him about Kamon's conference. His quality to me, friends and family got him so many customers, it changed his whole business model. Beekeepers spreading the word helping others, is awesome. Kamon and Laura have created a wonderful thing getting Beekeepers together with vendors who want quality.
Hi Gus, I regret not getting that belt from UofG, they are very handy. 04:08 your comb honey was a life-saver for me, I had an unpredictable cough and that did the trick so I could give my presentation! Pierce products are top-tier in every respect. THANK YOU for bringing that comb honey! I wish you all the best!
It was nice to meet you, good looking haul you brought back. I got my Hillco Mighty Max 18 frame extractor, a portion of my Appalachian Hivery order, a dadant smoker and picked up 200 Premier Foundation Heavily Waxxed.
I have a 40 yr old uncapping knife from Pierce. Thermostat not right burning the wax. They took it at the conference and put a new cord and handle on it. Put a new thermostat screw on it, sharpened it, got the temp to withing 30 degrees of where it is suppose to be. Unfortunately there is a dent in the knife so they couldn't get it any closer. Nice people warranted the knife free of charge, returned it , looking great. Also bought a full Guardian suits same as yours. Adapters for my extractor from Miller bees to do deep frames.
I didn’t go but from watching all the videos with you and many other guys I feel like I was there. I did order some of the new things I saw. I ordered a cool smoker. I hope it works like it’s supposed to. I am also going to order a guardian jacket. I love the opening in veil.
It was a pleasure meeting you. Thanks for the tip on rotating outer comb honey frames. I think I needed a bigger truck with all the stuff we purchased. Horizontal hive from Horizontal Bees(for the wife),Thorne wax melter, Hilco heated bottler and other smalls. Like a kid in a candy store.
Gus I bought too much stuff. Over 1k but a lot was frames and foundation. Got 8 commercial hive bodies from Beeline and they went together very nicely and good quality. There was a serious amount of product going out the back doors at HL.
Thanks for sharing! Sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up with you at the MABA meeting. You did a great presentation! Will you be bringing the frame insert pictures to the short course?
Picked up a coat, veil and gloves from Guardian for my daughter. She wants to get into the hive this season, just been watching until now. Good seeing you there Gus.
The conference was awesome, everyone there was happy and smiling. I brought home 900 premier frames, Thorn 25gallon bottling tank and clarifier, HDO lids and double screens from Bob binnie, another hot knife from Pierce, 50 mother lode frame feeders and a lyson uncapping tank.
300 Beeline Frames, beeline frame jig, 300 premier foundation, Thorne bottling tank, Pierce grafting tool (super nice people), 40 boxes from Appalachian Hivery (they’re bringing them to MS because of issues), hive tools. I brought the Flu home with me, so I’ve been assembling equipment all week with fever/chills. I spent waaaaaay too much, but hopefully it pays for itself with hard work.
I came home with 40 shallow frames made by your friend along with a bunch of other stuff. It was a pleasure meeting you and talking a bit about comb honey production. Your honey that was in that metal display frame was excellent!
I agree, really fun show. Saw you but you were always busy. Picked up an 18 frame extractor from Hillco that I can't wait to try out this fall. Also one of the Pierce headed cut comb tools. Had BetterBee bring me some Styrofoam BeeMax top covers to tryout (R 6.5). I need toeve my cc at home next year 😂
When got the custom hive tool, did you get the vitex seeds too? I looked them up…promising, and have quite a few spots I think they could be a perfect fit…help with runoff.
Sounds like the conference was very successful. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm up north still doing my full time job. Maybe when retire I can commit more of my time to increasing my beekeeping venture (as it was several years ago).

It was great seen you at the conference Gus. We love what you do and appreciate all the educational videos you putting out.
Man I wanted to go so bad! I'll be there next year for sure. Looks like you made some great choices enjoyed the video!
That is a sweet haul!! Pierce Beekeeping Equipment is one of the best companies from products to their amazing customer service.

Thanks for helping us run things behind the scenes Gus! I appreciate you!

I want to pickup 1 of their new longer heated knives.

Nice haul, my big purchase was an 18 frame ultra max extractor from Hillco and some smalls
That frame holder looks awesome! That is a great idea to make it adjustable. Could you drop a link? Are they selling that online?
Well I didn't get anything because I couldn't come this year but I am itching to get a guardian suit and gloves.
When got the custom hive tool, did you get the vitex seeds too? I looked them up…promising, and have quite a few spots I think they could be a perfect fit…help with runoff.
No but only because I have a nice long row of Vitex, making up a hedge row eventually.
Vitex makes a nice honey

To much to list TBH. Did get some pretty fantastic spicy honey though.
