Hello Gus! You likely were not aware, but I am so thankful that you provided your comb-honey for the Pierce Beekeeping Equipment display. I had a cough that kept interrupting my fun, and I needed that comb! It absolutely worked! THANK YOU! You have a new subscriber :)
Gus, thank you for your raw video. This speaks of your real character of who you are. I have never met you and don’t have to to know your heart. Thanks for the interview. Great info.
Nice first interview Gus! That Chris seems like a terrific person. Very cool of him to share his knowledge with you and the Bee Keeping community. Keep up the good work!👏🏽👍🏽🐝
On these rainy days, I listen to stuff like this while I piddle around. I call it “gleaning UA-cam” looking for little nuggets of information, tips and tricks that you get from listening to beekeepers talk!!! Hoping all is well Gus!!!
Great interview Gus, Chris has a lot of good information to pass on to all of us. 22 years he has forgot more than I will ever know. Thanks for a great video Gus.
Gus, tip on not losing queens when pulling from nuc. I saw a large breeder that had his workers use a folding table. Like a TV dinner tray. They had the nucs on the ground and would set the nuc on the table and work over it. Zero loss unless they moved away from the table.
Thanks Gus I'm so glad u pulled Mr.Werner to the side and had this talk thanks buddy!!When Chis Werner speaks I lesson in fact I'm molding my operation after him and putting my own tweaks in as well Great job Gus thanks again!!! 👍 👏
Thanks Jim. Nah. Good interview Gus. I’ve rewatched bob bennies interview with him a few times. Wish i could get some of his queens but I believe they are sold out indefinitely
It's all good Gus, I blank a lot.😁Oh I forgot about the t-post toppers🤔I have to remember those they seemed to work real well and with how I am setting up my t-post bee hive benches those would work great.👍
Great channel (I just discovered it)! I am trying as well to get a small queen rearing operation of the ground so I look forward to your upcoming videos - while reviewing your available material. Thank you for posting!
I enjoy the channel too. He's original and not trying to show everyone how great he is (which he is). Some videos the guys like to hear themselves talk.
Great questions on this interview. I graft just enough cells for myself and the info on acceptance and NUC strength is clutch. Would love to get in touch with you about some t-post adapters. I’ve seen the video, and the update, and I’d love to purchase four or five if you’ve had any extras made to sell yet. Chris Werner is a wealth of knowledge. Loved the 5 part series Bob did with him. Thanks for making and sharing this interview! By the way, not sure if you caught the comment on the Kamon stream last night, but I remembered the BBQ place I used to go to and loved and couldn’t remember when we were talking: Jim Neely’s Interstate BBQ.
I don’t have it worked out to sell any yet but as soon as I do I’ll let you know! I love that series to I’ve watched it multiple times. As far as bbq I like Paynes, they’re hard to beat
That jump to hiring (paying) someone to help will be a big hard step for you. You have some good genetics and if marketed effectively could make you some money. But where do you find a "Carrie" in Memphis?? Maybe a retired person who is a hobbyist beek ?
Gus, everyone makes mistakes, especially in an interview situation. I like your transparency about the slip up which, shows your authenticity. Chris was one of my favorite speakers at the conference this year. He has a great delivery and is extremely knowledgeable. Thanks for sharing a little extra content with him. I didn't get to meet you at HL. I wish I would have said hello. I am planning on increasing my queen rearing this season. Look forward to following your 2023. All the best to you!

Great interview Gus!!
Awesome tips! Good luck gus, great videos!
Very good interview. The questions were spot on for what a person wanting to get into queen rearing needs to hear.
Thanks
Great interview! Great questions! Was really hoping to talk with you at hive life but you was busy or I was on a mission already when I saw you.
Thanks Jim. Nah. Good interview Gus. I’ve rewatched bob bennies interview with him a few times. Wish i could get some of his queens but I believe they are sold out indefinitely

Gus your plans for elevating hives and queen rearing would be a great series. I like all your videos.
I have learned when Gus speaks I also lesson with both ears . It has paid off for me on things I needed . Thanks Gus
Asking some pretty solid questions Gus! Maybe because I'm starting to experiment with queen rearing this year too. Looking forward to more.

Do you have an image or video on your t-post system (elevated stand) for queen mating?
Yes, I have two videos on it on my channel
That jump to hiring (paying) someone to help will be a big hard step for you. You have some good genetics and if marketed effectively could make you some money. But where do you find a "Carrie" in Memphis?? Maybe a retired person who is a hobbyist beek ?
I hired some part time help last year, but one is in jail for the foreseeable future and the other got a full time regular job.
Mr Gus I'm a hobbyist with 2 hives near augusta ga. How many hives do I need to have to consider making my own queens? There are no apiaries near me
Great interview as I plan to try and be sustainable this year but also getting ready to sell nucs next year
Great video ! Lots of practical advice
That was great! Some really great advise
It's called brain fart😂
