- Previously on the Aztek 200: We introduced our viewers a new concept in racing - putting the pedal to the metal in a Pontiac Aztek. Our drivers completed the qualifying round by running the course for time in the revered Geo Metro. Tony Angelo qualified in first despite aggressive driving from all of our competitors. And now that the drivers’ Azteks have been assigned, they’ll be headed to the dragstrip for a little head-to-head racing, followed by a trip to O’Reilly Auto Parts and some time to prepare their Azteks for the grand finale.

No I was thinking the same cars but with more manufacturing and more O'Reilly parts.... This is hilarious... Painting your own helmet, doing seat conversions..... Eyebrow management around the headlights... Doing some valvework on the Aztek motors... Hotcamming them... Fabricating roll cages and lifting the Azteks... For 2 wheel offroading....
If they do it again, and I hope they do, I'd love to see them in either Yugos or Le Cars. You youngsters out there might have to Google those two pieces of automotive embarrassment. 😊

I had a baby poo Green Aztek back in the day. It really wasn't bad. Got it airborne in the mountains a few times. Gremlins in the computer system took her down. Fun fact: If you drive at highway speeds with just the rear door windows down, it causes a bass reverberation that will nearly deafen you.

Something like this needs to continue on annually or semi annually. Group of 4 people known in the automotive world, a crap car, and a budget to help each competitor make things unique/interesting. This has been a fun watch.

Homeless Veteran here. I lived in 3 Pontiac Azteks after getting home from my 2nd tour in Iraq. After that it was Widespread Panic and Grateful Dead tour.
Get a bottle of NOX, attach a tube running under the hood and duct tape it around the vicinity where the air is supposed to enter the engine (look for the air cleaner) and open the valve from the passenger seat where the bottle has been properly "seat belted " in.
Voila, instant win.
