- This week on Stay Tuned, a feller from Vice Grip Garage stops by to hang out at the Stay Tuned shop! Tony Angelo and Derek Bieri play a little gameshow called "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!" where they guess list pricing on Facebook Marketplace ads chosen at random. TONS of fun was had, cold snacks consumed, and we really show that the market is the WILD WEST! Check it out on STAY TUNED!

This is the awesomest thing on UA-cam in a long time! Thanks Tony, Derek, and Barb!
Wow, thanks! Glad you liked it
this was hilarious and really fun to play along with from the armchair
please do this again! 🤘🏻
@@StayTunedTAplease do this again. It was so much fun. Had the guys at work all around one tablet watching and having a blast.
A couple more wobble pops and this just gets better and better! Let me send you a list of Midwest cars next week!!!
@@StayTunedTA wow.... you FINALLY ADMITTED YOU HAVE ADMITTED YOU HAVE AN ADVANTAGE?.....
I've been saying this for years now and people been insulting me...
Can we please get more of this? Whenever Derek's in town or vice versa you guys have to do this. This is gold!
Definitely, don't threaten me with a good time!
@@StayTunedTA go to his shop and look at his local listings! ahaha
@@StayTunedTA Why haven't you put that on an shirt yet? You say it all the time, and it's good advice to live by!😁
They really don't even have to be together they could do it on zoom or whatever
@@toddmccarter45 they could I don't think it would be as good but it would be better than nothing.
This started with Cash for Clunkers. Many cars that would be affordable and spare parts are just gone.
Another thing to thank Obama for
Yep, it all but destroyed the vintage car market which was part of the plan.
@@gorflunk that entire thing had my blood boiling. too many B body LT1s got destroyed, f body, corvettes. i was ANGRY
@@andrewdonohue1853 and trucks. it was especially hard on old trucks.
@@andrewdonohue1853 I was trying to buy my first car during that mess.... literally a year before there were tons of nice good running cars for 500 bucks. Instead I ended up with a really hammered truck with a bad transmission for 800 bucks and then had to save to buy a new-to-me transmission, then had to swap it in...
Its the same reason every single house on the market is $100k over. Our dollar is gone, middle class is gone.
The two of you cruising marketplace and roasting things like Waldorf and Statler from the Muppets is the best damn thing. More of this please!
Holy shit is that the name of the two old guys? I always assumed for some reason one was Mortimer and the other Monty 😂must have been my dad trying to shut me up asking lmao

I about fell out of my chair when Derek swooped that tractor out of Tony's pocket at $2600! Excellent show!!
He called $2600 before even reading the listing
It is just amazing how people can make an SS clone, call it a "tribute" and then expect to sell it for more than what a true SS is worth. That car is a non-numbers matching Malibu, nothing more.
Its truly laughable. Im near Central Pa and i have a lot of insanely priced cars and trucks saved on marketplace for months and years that will never ever sell. In fact i saw what was probably the nicest Chrysler k car in existence for $10k. I messaged the guy and said he should ask $15k and he did in fact up the price 🤭
Right!? I call it the Mecum effect. Everyone thinks their stuff is worth mega bucks.
3 years ago I bought a 2008 Nissan Altima with a 3.5 l V6 and a 6-speed manual transmission for $500 and I've been hooning it ever since
Mad props on the obscure Weird Al "UHF" clip.
That was the editor but what a classic!
Mac n me 😂
That movie is underrated as hell!
@@jeffsydenstricker8871 Conan and Paul Rudd's iconic running gag.
I was gonna say the same thing! 😂
This is the best video on UA-cam now. Derek and Tony have an amusing chemistry together. Derek is from the Midwest and more "down to earth" while Tony is a pro drift racer and a bit more wild. Both are extremely knowledgeable in vehicles but in wildly different scenes. This just works! MORE! More Marketplace bashing too!
👍👍👍!
I bought a complete and(kinda) running 2dr '69 Nova with a 307/th350 for $600 in 1992. It was the quintessential grandma car with a bench seat but power steering/power disk brakes and ZERO rust or rot. There was only 1 tiny rip in the headliner. I built a 327 for it, swapped in a 4.10 8.5 from a '74, installed buckets with a console and floor shifter before having it repainted in the body shop at my HS. I sold that car for $3K and used $2500 to buy a 402/4 speed '71 Camaro SS with a bad cam/lifter.
Looking back at the cars I had and what I let them go for vs what they might sell for today is depressing. The Nova, the Camaro, an SVO Mustang, an '86 notchback with an Incon TT 331 stroker.... People are asking $5K+ for malaise era Nova rollers with rotted floor pans and often more for ragged out twisted to hell fox bodies with no interiors. No wonder kids are building FWD imports.
Same here. Bought a 71 nova in 95 for 500 . 350/4 speed from....a Boomer. Now every time I go look at an old fixer up old car it's being sold by someone my son's age that has absolutely no interest in it but wants to suck a gen x wallet dry. They look like they've never even had 1,000 bucks in their hand.
@@BruceLee-xn3nn My HS parking lot was packed with cheap early-late 70's muscle and pony cars in the 90's. There was my Nova, a '72 R Code Mach I, a '71 Monte, at least 2 dusters and a Scamp that I remember along with a bunch of later second gen F bodies. Not a 6 cylinder or quiet exhaust in the bunch.
I know several classmates that cracked up their cars and within a week found another car for $5-600 that they could swap their drivetrain into. Those were the days....
CRAZY! Just plain crazy!👍👍
KEEP DOING THIS!!! It's so much fun to watch. You guys need to do more things together. Enjoy watching you guys.
Imagine you're watching this and it is your vehicle that they are 'roasting"! ha ha ha ha
HAHA, I thought about it for sure.
I would pay to see you fight the owner of the scrap metal charger!
Oh, please. 😂
Imagine you're the fool who paid 10k for that Plymouth heap.
If they're roasting the owners awful price then they deserve to be roasted, someone has to tell these folks not to be so insane with their prices
This was awesome! Please do it again! Also the 1962 corvette pictures are from a Hemmings listing for $135,000
IT was a 1961, supposedly. It was all wrong.
I didn't know this channel existed until the YT algorithm showed this in my feed (because of VGG). Awesome channel! Collaboration does a lot to increase the subs!
Totally cool show. Please do more of this. My wife looked at me weird from the kitchen when I shouted GTFO on the Charger 🤣
"I will fight this man on sight". I can't wipe the smile off my face.
It's on
NICE!!!❤
Worked at car dealerships for about a decade. Quarantine ruined the car market. The last 4 years for prices have been nuts. 🍺🍕
Kind of agree on timing. Ruined the housing market too but also private equity firms shouldn't be able to buy up all the single family homes!
@@StayTunedTA 100% Agree. 🤘🤘🔥🍺
@@StayTunedTA stay tuned knows what's up! F Bain capital and F blackrock!!!!
When President Obama bought up all the "junk" cars alot of good cars were sold away !!! What 13-15years ago !!! 😢
When the cars on the dealer lots dried up used car prices went CRAZY. Then the old car guys who had gotten out of it were sitting at home with money and the internet and drove the old project car prices nuts.
This is the best team up ever.
And please do the show calling people sayin
"Are you otta you're mind!?"
😂😂😂😂😂
My two favorite channels combined into an even better duo. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” - Aristotle. I love it.
Thanks, fellas. I sold a super clean 68 charger for $2,200 in 1986. When I got married and had a kid I sold a 68 Barracuda fastback with a built 340 in excellent condition in 1994 for $3,000 and bought a neon.
I'm very sad right now.
DDDAUUUMMMM! The prices people are asking for now are CRAZY! Hey, at least you have your memories! God bless!😊😊😊❤❤
Hopefully, it was a neon r/t. Lol
"Graveyard Cars" Mark from Oregon....Dodge/Plymouth guru
could be worse you could have bought a new dodge dart aka fiat
The "Naked Gun" clip when Barb forgot to take the price off!!! I'm still laughing!!
This is genius. You could turn this into a legit weekly gameshow with different guests and I would watch every single one.
I miss the 1999-2005, pre-Barrett Jackson prices. I bought a 71 Charger for $250. '72 Charger for $200. Got a different, nice '72 Charger for $1600. '69 Charger R/T 440 4-speed for $3000. I got a Petty Blue '73 Roadrunner 340 FOR FREE! Not kidding! '70 Camaro for $600. I passed on a '72 Cuda 340 for $3000. The list can go on and on!
I wasn't expecting one of these sit-down formats to be entertaining, but you guys nailed it out of the park and made it fun throughout. Enjoyed every second of it.
Oh, and another vote to see Tony fight the owner of what's left of the Charger in a boxing ring. With brass knuckles on Tony.
I felt the same way. Was kinda meh about it until I started watching. That was entertaining.
Going through marketplace is very entertaining. I wish i could post screenshots of marketplace cars worse than these that ive had saved for years that will never sell. I honestly feel bad for people that are so delusional
I follow both these gentlemen, I knew it was going to be a blast!!!😂😂❤
Back in 1995 when I was in high school I bought a running and driving 70 chevelle for $1500. It was clean and straight with no rust, crager wheels, and posi rear end.
Any highschooler with $1500 to burn in the 1990s had daddy’s money
Any highschooler with $1500 to burn in the 1990s had daddy’s money
@@fastinradfordable nope, it’s called work. You must be a youngster that thinks previous generations had life easier than yours or if your not you were just smoking any extra money you had. I bet it was the latter as most people that complain about money are drug addicts and lazy.
I bought a primered 71 nova 350/4 speed running driving car for 500. When I drove it around boomers would stop me on the highway asking if I wanted to buy their old jalopy. I had several more old cars cheap.
Could by a mid 60s muscle car in the mid to late 70s for 500 to 700 bucks...folks who had them started to sell due to the oil embargo ...and the gas prices went up ( but still cheap then)...and they started to drop the octanes and phase out the lead in the gas which made the muscle cars start to knock and ping and run like crap.
Fantastic ! Derek nailing that tractor was like watching one of those Fantast Films videos where say Joe Flacco takes down clay pigeons with footballs -- you see it, but you still just can't believe anyone can do it. Likewise with Tony spotting the fake -- you'll wake up with a kidney gone -- offer. And the dialogue makes it clear how incredibly much these two know.
But the "ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND" show would be epically spectac-u-lacious!
Yes! Please keep Derek coming back! I love the dynamic you two share!
This should be a weekly show gents. Brilliant! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was SO much funnier than I expected. Also Derek nailing the tractor price immediately was epic.
Derek should have won an additional prize for getting the price right. Barb should have to do pushups for not seeing he failed to remove the listing price.
That was awesome. We need more of this format with other guest appearances.
This was HIGHLY entertaining! When I totaled my LS swapped Subaru I Looked for a '66-67 Malibu roller for the drivetrain all over the Country and it didn't take long to realize that there was no way I was going to be able to get into something like that.... So I bought a $400 mint 335i instead 😂
If it’s in the Northeast, has “patina” , runs, and is on marketplace, it’s mostly rust, and well over 6 grand. No matter how old, or what type of car.
Yes, it's ugly out there.
That patina has the added bonus of major weight reduction and that costs money….
Same here in northern Wisconsin
When I was a kid a beater was 500 bucks

When I was a kid a decent running driving , stopping "beater" was $100!!! There all gone now !!!

Guys! This was epic. Laughing and pointing at the screen! Please make a regular thing out of this. I trawl through marketplace and Craigslist just like any of us and this feels ultra relatable and highly shareable and entertaining.

Hey, thanks so much! Means a lot.
Fellas, y’all have cracked the code - please keep this dynamic duo going it’s what the ppl want it’s what the ppl need!
Maybe it'll drop car prices
I was skeptical about watching y’all NOT turn wrenches but I laughed my ass off.
Great job, and people are out of their minds!!
I absolutely love this. You turned our day-to-day hobby into a game show because all of us on here do the exact same thing every single day from our couch. Also, Tony, I’ve been watching you since you were on the roadkill shows I’m am super happy that you have this show now and Derek is definitely my favorite UA-camr. I love your guises chemistry. Keep it up. You guys should do a roadkill style revival with a road trip.
"You'll wind up in a bathtub full of ice" LMAO
This needs to be turned into a regular thing for you guys, I’m 10 minutes in and already hooked. Great idea for an episode!
This was my first time watching this Stay Tuned channel. It popped up in my feed because of VGG. I liked it.
If love to see more of these guess-the-price videos. 😆
great episode...the chemistry you guys are developing is a testament to your combined passion of all things horsepower n rowdy related...if it's any consolation...up north of the 54th parallel...car prices are just as bananas here as they are down south...
keep up the great work guys
you too Barb...
Bring on a team competition, Tony Stay Tuned & Chris NNKN (No Nonsense Know How) V.S. Derek VGG & Josh Sleeperdude. Chris is in P.A., Josh & Derek are in Tennessee . A collab with four great channels would be amazing!!!
Then you can do an east coast with the four above with some west coast channels.
Low Buck Garage, Junk Yard Digs, Pole Bard Garage, Mortske, ect...
If you could find beat up old cars and allow the teams to wrench on them for a week and let the viewers pick a winner.
I'd pay to see that.

Glad that you found something that works for you and fam without loosing the people that love to watch and work with you. Sounds like the years of hard work and experience you put in are starting to line up and somehow we all benefit. Keep going as long as you have passion for it.
This is comedy gold and worth its own series fo sho! These two guys with excellent editing is a treat to enjoy over and over again! LOVE IT!
On the '51 Plymouth, where it said "Chevy front-end", it was a thing back in the '80s to splice a Camaro subframe on to old cars from the '50s.
I second that, quite common back in the day.
I've aligned a couple of those rig jobs. They usually look and fit terrible.
@@cwrolerI’m honestly not sure if I’ve even seen one that was even put on straight
yep, camaro, nova, or mustangII.
A family friend used to restore and appraise Chevelle's in the 90s. He had a 1970 LS6 car in the shop. Astro Blue, 4speed, less than 20k miles. Only non original part on it was an air filter and a weld to fix an exhaust leak at the resonator. He was turning down $100k bids for it back then. Most beautiful car I've ever seen
Don’t remind me a 70 chevelle is the car ill always want and never get
Those used to be sub-$2000 cars. Go figure.
That was absolutely hilarious. And awesome.
I know you guys are busy, but you could make a version of this a week and it would never get old!!

Micky Rupp drove in the Indy 500 with Rupp Industries sponsorship. Big success selling karts and mini-bikes in the 1960s.
Dont forget the snowmobiles too!
And dragster with skis and a snow mobile belt. Also, there was a kart track behind the factory, you can still see a few remnants of it
Had forgot about it, wonder where it is now? Used to drag race snowmobiles, both grass & snow, back in the mid 70's. I remember seeing it at a couple events, but only saw it run once...

No title on the 68 Chevelle? My first car was a 68 Chevelle that was stolen and never recovered back in 1981. 🤔 I was 17, making $1.85 hr. and paid $500 for it. Loved that car.
That was a bloody great video guys!! TOP JOB!
Derek just proved his working man status. 100% he dident know what prices right rules were. The man has never watched Prices Right enough to know .
The edit of this video is superb! Ya’ll are awesome!
The floor on that Chevelle looks rusted to shit, there's a massive hole on the edge of the interior picture behind where the driver's seat would go. That looks like a car that looks like a $4000 car in pictures and a $2000 car in person.
This was a lot of fun. Keep these going. Start looking all around the country to see what the market differences are. I'm blown away good and bad at the difference in some of the pricing depending on where it's from
I'm so glad this was done and would love to see you do more. Doing like a 70's, 80's, and 90's editing of this would be great because people have lost their minds what these year cars are worth. A nothing but body editing would probably have you throwing things.
Heck, yeah that was a lot of fun and I wonder if you could get a member to be drawn out by random and if they can pay their own way to PA and everything could take part or do it over the phone like a teams call or something….
