My family visited Nardo from London a few years ago, for the 1st time in Pulgia. Nardo was recommended by one of my Italian friends from Lombardy. Nardo I can say without hesitation is the best town and I have ever visited in Italy, and I have travelled Italy extensively including Sicily from the South to the Dolomites! We would go to Cafe Parisi each morning and try something different before setting off, and that restaurant was right near our AirBnb, we ate here 3 times (yummy!), there are other restaurants just as good in Nardo with different varieties of dishes, you could say the gastronomic centre of Puglia?? In summer the place is absolutely heaving in the evening, with buzzy, packed streets, open concerts, and markets, but not crazy like other European towns packed with tourists, most are Italian in Nardo and from all over Italy! We travelled around extensively on our 3-week holiday and used Nardo as a base, the beaches are amazing in Salento and visited other historic towns. We would come back to Nardo most evenings and have dinner, speaking to locals, people out of town and tourists like us, a very friendly atmosphere. Likewise, we had a terrace as well much like the 2nd property, after dinner/drinks, late at night we would open a bottle of local wine, and stare into the stars of the crystal clear Puglian skies! Thanks for the video, these properties are so cheap compared to other places around Europe and have so much history............ Nardo has beautiful baroque architecture.........very nice presented video thanks!
Marco you have outdone yourself in this episode. We absolutely love Nardo (we are heading there again in 2024) and also visited Cafe Parisi and loved it. Thanks for sharing the restaurant recommendation as well. We will be booking into it. The properties were stunning and our favourite was the second architecturally designed property with barrel vaults and cool interiors. So well planned.
Marco, you are truly a magician! And there's no better stage than Italy on which to perform. All of the hard work you put in behind the scenes has paid off once again. Thanks for yet another stellar video. I gained 5 lbs. just by watching you eat in Nardo.
The tour of the cafe, restaurant, and real estate was all very charming. Thank you for sharing it with us. I look forward to seeing much more...it is an intriguing journey.
I liked the first two buildings most! I don't like huge buildings as much unless it would be for B&B, hotel etc then it could work well. Only thing missing in these videos is 1) nr of rooms not stated explicitly 2) how to get there from the airport etc. But I really like your videos. Thanks!
wonderful video!! The 2nd apartment is quite "different", and the landmark-protected exterior walls provide quite a challenge when creating new living spaces within - the windows seem so haphazardly placed. I love the tall ceilings, and all those steps will keep everyone's thighs supple!!! Lots of potential here - I hope the tourism and residential money keeps flowing in, and the city will be very well rejuvenated in a few years' time.
Again amazing properties. Funny thing about the tiny kitchens. Meals are so important, you’d think they would have given Mamma more room to work. In Portugal, the kitchens are bigger… and from what I’ve experienced, more the heart of the home. Grazie.
Love your videos! We attained our Italian citizenship and will be looking to purchase in southern Italy. We hope to connect with you as we love your style and taste. Thank you for creating your channel and sharing. 10:30
Ciao Marco! I enjoy your videos very much. I noticed you have not posted lately. I am planning a move to Puglia in the next two years. somewhere near Lecce... keep up the great work!
Any recommendations on Italian language schools ? I was thinking studying Italian in difficult areas may give a better feel for a place then just traveling through.. also would give a base to work from, to explore areas around Italy ..
Did anyone else notice the swastika's on the rug when 1st entering the 2nd home? I love your videos and thought you should know. You can easily see it at 12:09 mark.
The symbol your concerned about has dots on each of its quarters. It's a Asian symbol used by Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is used as a representation of divinity and spirituality. The appropriation of the swastika by the Nazi Party and neo Nazis has corrupted this meaning.
@@jannetho3342 the last part you said is my point. One evil person ruined using that symbol, especially in Italy, which was an ally of the Nazi Party and that symbol was actually introduced to the Nazi's by an Italian.
Please mention the number of sleeping areas or studies that can be used as sleeping areas. It was a bit hard to follow this time. Also, please mention the range of offered considered.
Yeah, that rug at the entrance of house number two......... Love the second place other than that, though I have some questions about trying to keep the kitchen area looking that minimal all the time.
I put on weight every time I watch you eat. 😂😊😂😊 I know this is on the coast, but it is southern Italy after all, so the prices seem a bit disproportionate for the region. That being said, I absolutely loved the second one. It is the perfect size for a single person or a couple. Those vaulted ceilings are perfect. The owner did a good job of renovating it. It's gorgeous! Ciao and happy new year. 😊
Oh, I’m sorry I commented before I watched the lunch video. OMG just amazing I’m telling you here in America just don’t get even it very very exclusive restaurants you just don’t get food that fresh that looks like that.
Sorry if this question is deemed inappropriate, but perhaps you could offer an opinion. My husband and I are an older gay couple, looking to retire from the U.S. and relocate, at least for part of the year, to Italy. Do you think we would encounter any problems living in Puglia? It’s not like we’re drag queens or anything, but we have encountered some issues on previous trips, mostly in Naples and Sorrento. Any thoughts? Thanks. We love your channel.
Good question. I am not an expert on much in life and I am not gay. I have been going in and out of Italy for 40 years and have meet gay couples who seem to do just fine. In general I have found Italians to be pretty open friendly loving people. The biggest mistake I have seen by American moving to Italy is simply not doing their homework and visiting a few times so they have realistic expectations. Videos are lovely but sometime portray Italy with an unrealistic romantic lens. Hope you go, eat well and make friends. Buon anno.
Hello, you should really set the first house between breakfast and lunch, so as not put all of the food emotions in front. Thank You! No. 1 but also 2 are beautiful even if the price for the latter is a tad steep. Thank You!
My family love your videos but you keep making a common mistake regarding space. You often refer to a space as being xyz meters square. What you actually mean is xyz square meters. Eg. 100 square meters is one hundred square meters BUT 100 meters square is a massive 100 x 100 meters = 10,000 square meters.
great homes! beautifully done videos, and the food was amazing looking. Maybe next time edit out the Nazi iconography. Even if we understand it intellectually as not being an aggressive act, it's just a bit jarring.
totally understand! TBH even though i know what it is, i would've swapped it out for real estate advertising purposes.. a bold choice on the seller's part! @@abryant9166
Well of course it's not a good selling point but Is even sillier Is you commenting that!! do you think he actually knew what kind of furnishings carpet these individuals have in their home? No he would not know because he's showing a home that he has not seen for the first time. I'm sure he had no clue of the owner's carpets carpeting whatever So yeah lol😅
Understand your concern but the symbol dates back long before it was misapplied in modern times for evil purposes. It is simply unrealistic to except cultures with ancient roots to erase historic designs. But not the carpet I would choose. Buon Natale.
Well he showed three properties one for every person's budget normal person lol. One under 100,000 one 300,000 and the last one $800,000. Yes, he tried to make everyone happy. I'm sure there are homes. Under 100 grand but you'd probably have to do maybe some renovations
Update: the asking price for the second home has been lowered to €290k 👍.
My favorite of the three. But that last one has boat loads of potential 👍

I love the vaulted ceilings in Italian properties.
Each place had such unique features. I couldn’t pick a favorite!
#3 I would make the room between the kitchen and terrace a huge eat in kitchen.
Glad you’re back ! The toilet position in that second house is nightmarish 😂 but the property is amazing - all of them are beautiful.
Another gem of a video!
Aspetto sempre con felicita i tuoi video
I visited Nardo for a day in the summer and went to Caffé Parisi. It was so good I went back for a second time on the same day!
Wonderful video as usual, absolutely love your style!
That food! Wow!
How do you stay so slim, with all that gorgeous food? I appreciate the floor plans you show onscreen. #1... ground level! And frescoes!!
All lovely homes!! Thank you for showing those!! Love the restaurants too!!
I like this format of three properties and price ranges. Keep them coming as well as the wonderful food spots :)

Great video and review. Wish I was was with you experiencing all thar AUsomeness!🥰❤️😋Definitely above m6 budget, but gorgeous.
The rug decorated with Swastikas (12:05) is an interesting design choice. Definitely don't see that much in the US.
Right, I did a double take 😮
Great work
Loved apartment nr 2 💚
Excellent job, thanks !!!! Can't find espresso where I live...apartment # 01 definitely.... Happy New Year !!!!
Apartment #1: Not crazy about the bathroom being off the kitchen, but my goodness! That stone arch! The high ceilings and frescoes?!?!?!
I love house 2. What are the property taxes? Is electricity and internet reliable? Thanks.

Another cool vid Marco. Apt 2 all day. Similar to modern Mexican interiors. My wife was pissed that you didn’t have desert.😢😅

Love the first apartment frescos and finally below 100k cost! Who maintains the common garden area such as in home 2?
Stop it, you make me hungry and thrist 😄

You still have to keep the thermostat at 86' Farenheit in the summer! So even being from Texas, Americans cannot live in that heat!
