Alireza even adopting Hikaru was a real possibility. I wanted to give Hikaru a benefit of a doubt that he was complaining about laggs or buggs or something but i didn’t thought he was that scared of getting adopted.
Honestly, I've been following both Hikaru and Chessbrahs for a long time, I know that Chessbrahs channel, at one point was almost close to getting closed because of the strikes from Hikaru’s team. I don't know how the rivalry began but I never cared much about these and followed them for the love of chess and their content creation. But in BCC against Alireza, even though the game was delayed by Alireza, Hikaru chose to ignore it and started the match. When he was consecutively losing the matches, he started throwing tantrums about how the delay affected him and how could Alireza delay the match, any professional player, be it Magnus or Nihal or Danya, would never blame their losses in this manner, especially because Hikaru wouldn't have complained this had he won those matches. He later accepted the fact that he is getting older and his bullet openings are dubious against 2700 players like Alireza. He even said that he’d change the strategy in game 2, but Alireza with his bullet strength prevailed in the end by fair means. The fact that Hikaru lost his cool just because he was losing the games was so unsportsmanship-like. Him throwing the shade at Aman after the match shocked me, just because you have an audience who agrees on everything you say doesn't mean that you can disrespect them like that. I've watched a clip of their Zoom recording and while he was losing cool and using F word against Alireza, Alireza kept calm like a gentleman. I’m sorry for any Hikaru fans who might get upset with this, but this is what I’ve observed. I like Hikaru, his style of games, his capabilities, and they way he carries himself during OTB tournaments, but this is not sportsmanship behaviour.
I lost all respect for hikaru, when a fellow LoL streamer, Tyler1 started to grind chess and improve at the game. Hikaru dissed Tyler1 and he said he would plateau at 1200. With Tyler1 now impressively rated at 1900, Hikaru backed down and essentially said it was easier to rank up in chess than it was then. Which is true, but it feels wrong to dismiss tyler1’s efforts as such.
The kid is most likely cheating. No one progresses that fast. It's so easy to cheat on online games: just boot a mirror game on your phone, while playing on the laptop or desktop. That is, you don't need a fancy set-up. Also, no need to consult Stockfish. Even your basic chess app plays around 3000+ elo, so you will crush more sub-2000s.
@@zb5775It is 100% possible with how much Tyler has grinded. I got to 2000 elo a little after about 2 years of playing. Tyler has already played 8k rapid games on his acct. I've played 4k after 3 years. Keep in mind, 2000 online is not very good at chess, 2000 Fide is decent. People make it like reaching 2000 online is impossible when its really not. If you just play a few games a day you can ger their pretty easily.
This is what happens to most adults trying to improve by just grinding games. Very reasonable to expect same happen to Tyler. Man is just build different.

But then I slowly find out more things about him, his tweet about being the one who has to stop Magnus, insulting John Bartholomew, cursing other GMs, fighting Eric, etc. I give Hikaru the benefit of the doubt, and keep on following him. And then the incident with you guys, and he also tried to cause beef with Fabi and Christian when reacting to their podcast, promoting a crypto gambling site, and now this. Time and time again, Hikaru provides plenty of examples of him being immature, vain, and manipulative. I hope that people remember these things.

One of the most incredible temper tantrums I've ever seen!
99 percent of people said he wouldn't get that high. Who cares
@@zb5775Nah Man just built different
@@zb5775It is 100% possible with how much Tyler has grinded. I got to 2000 elo a little after about 2 years of playing. Tyler has already played 8k rapid games on his acct. I've played 4k after 3 years. Keep in mind, 2000 online is not very good at chess, 2000 Fide is decent. People make it like reaching 2000 online is impossible when its really not. If you just play a few games a day you can ger their pretty easily.
This is what happens to most adults trying to improve by just grinding games. Very reasonable to expect same happen to Tyler. Man is just build different.
