What I really like about you two is that you don't stop these songs 14 times during their play. You review them well and let us hear the song. Disjointed isn't great. Thanks for the review as well.
Agreed. I don't watch reactions if they stop more than once, and I'm not fond of stopping at all. The whole experience becomes tainted. This music, is intended to be listened to without interruption. It's not cookie cutter crap that's made today.
What’s so great about Supertramp is the way they build into a song and continue to blow you away with different instruments, tempos… this song is one of their best! I love every single Supertramp reaction you guys have! Next Gone Hollywood… you guys will love it! ❤️🎵🎸🎶
I have listened to many musical groups but none of these groups can move me like the music of Supertramp. No group like Supertramp can vary in songs. From classical to pop to rock to Jazz. But above all a harmonic music full of various instruments. A unique group. Where many instruments become one. For me the greatest group
Hey Guys, the next Supertramp reaction I recommend you to do on this album is "Take the long way home" their second biggest hit in the US...😊 followed by the song that follows after it "Lord is it mine" beautiful !! 😍
This album is late career, and seems autobiographical: charting the band's desire to go to America, and their struggles, adventures, and observations there. This is my favorite Supertramp record. They made it with a more conventional/accessible sound, which may be why it sounds early to you. It was huge. As for Goodbye Stranger, I love it's story, performance, and fantastic composition, with IMO enough musical ideas for two or three songs. And yes, it's about one night stands, and has one of my favorite lines: "Now I believe in what you say, is the undisputed truth. But I have to have things my own way, to keep me in my youth." There's a lot going on, and each listening gets better. Just transcendent. Thanks guys, all the best to you and yours. ❤
Rick Davies sings lead on this Supertramp track playing keys like Roger Hodgson usually does too (Take the Long Way Home) but Roger Hodgson does that mean guitar solo on the outro. 😮 Check it out live.
Crime of the Century was 1974, Crisis? What Crisis? was 1975, Even In The Quietest Moments was 1977, and Breakfast in America was 1979. There were a couple before and lots after, but those four were my teen years and the ones I listened to constantly.
Every concert i went there, i was wasted before entering the building ! spending hours in the small park in front of the Forum ! lol It was the good old days, i was a teen ! But i didn t see that one...I was in BC. but i saw many bands early 70s and a few in the 80s ! Last show i saw was Rush at the Bell center around 2004 or 5 ...or 6 ! ? can t remember but it was a great show with an intermission in the middle ! 😎
Saw them in Pittsburgh on that tour. Went on a whim when a friend of a friend had a brother who worked for the promoter and got free tickets for us. Was familiar with them of course but not a huge fan. Was 100% blown away by them live though. One of the best concerts I've ever seen.
Met Rodger at a New Years day "party" Jan 1 1980. In the middle of Napa Valley. Few people realized what a huge talent he was, just sat in a room full of people he didn't know and practiced (worked?) on his guitar. Those who knew just sat and stared.
Fabulous track and album. Next up should be Long Way Home, which is one of the most beautiful rock songs laid down on vinyl, next to Nights In White Satin and All My Love.
Fabulous reaction gentleman can not go wrong with SuperTramp, they are such a multi talented band. Please keep up the great work love what you are doing for the AirPlay music family.
I remember seeing this record for the first time over at my buddy's house. He had just bought it so we put it on - was fantastic then and is still fantastic now. I was 14 then and almost 60 now.
This is a band that kind of slips through the cracks. Breakfast in America was a big album for Supertramp. I got to see Roger Hudson of Supertramp with Ringo and his All Star Band . The concerts were about 30 years ago and this is when I really paid attention and realized how great this guy is ! Don't underestimate The many different All Star Bands that Ringo has assembled over the years. 40 years + and he hasn't missed yet! Lots of concert footage and audio available.. Roger Hudson is the shit! You brothers rock and you musically get it. Love you guys channel and what you do!!!
Watching these reactions with you both makes me pay attention to the lyrics of some songs that I've been singing along on the chorus parts for decades; it just dawned on me that he's singing about one-night stands, right? LOL. EDIT; you just said it, so yep, same interpretation 😊
The album cover art is iconic! The depiction of Lady Liberty is portrayed by "Libby" the diner waitress of the era. Her name tag says Libby if you can get a good image to view. The NY skyline is made up of commonly found items in a diner from that time. Just killer cover, the more you look. Luv the reaction! Supertramp is a deep dive, and this is one of those tunes that has SO much depth, it's not really appreciated until heard 10 times. Or a thousand times!
Just discovered and subscribed to your reaction channel. It's the perfect blend of pause, appreciation, and opinion. You're my new favorite reaction channel and I can't believe you're in the 916 on Bradshaw Road! I grew up in Rosemont and live in Carmichael now. Peace and keep up the great work! ✌️
Bros. don't forget to do the studio version of "Child of Vision" off this album... It sounds much better than the live version you have already done. 😎
Crime of the Century came out in 1974, breakfast in America came out in the spring of 1979, the second semester of my freshman year in college. This album was the soundtrack of my summer that year.
I don't think you boys were aware of just how lost in the sauce you were How'd I know? You didn't pause that song! I have never seen one of your reactions where you don't pause at least once 😎Jump into the full album and enjoy it all✌
"I had a hard time wrapping my head around that one" - wow what a reaction haha! It might surprise you but this is one of their most beloved songs and one of their biggest hits, featured in movies, tv shows, etc. It's funny you guys say this is different because this album is where most of their hits came from and how most people know them. Love the honesty!
HUge fan of you from Barcelona, please don't forget one of my favorite Albums from them. "Even in the quietest moments" and check to "Fool's Overture" song, will blows your mind. Hugs
Great transitions, vocals, and story! The whole album is great from beginning to end!it is 2 albums after Crime of the Century on their biggest and I feel best album, Breakfast in America!
This is 3 albums after Crime of the Century (3rd album), they have added just a touch more pop to their prog sound by this time. I would request "Lady" from their 4th album - Crisis? What Crisis? - an underrated Supertramp album IMO.
One of the best outros ever!
Exactly! The song is great and the outro is even better!!!
This
Solo is in the top 100 voted best solos of all time@@mjm5081
I concur 👍👍
You got that right
No one sounds like Supertramp. Pure genius
This entire album is Golden. Supertramp's best LP. One of the best albums of the 70s IMO
IMO, "Child of Vision" has a lame chorus but I still like the rest of the song a lot
For all the albums I’ve heard from various artists, this one is one of the few that I can listen and love every song.
the real genius is the person who produced this.
My favorite Super Tramp song. Thanks fellas for the excellent reaction! 👍
Word.
Rudy is my favorite, but this is a close second.
Breakfast in America is simply flawless. Child of Vision is perfection.
One of the best albums ever made.
What I really like about you two is that you don't stop these songs 14 times during their play. You review them well and let us hear the song. Disjointed isn't great. Thanks for the review as well.

YES YES & YES!! I luv you two
@@58BURSTMost channels do that because they are afraid of being demonetized.
yeah some have diced up my precious memories pretty bad without necessity
Dougie is one of the most underrated bassists ever...For a band known for keyboards and horns, Rodger's guitar outro is smokin' AF...
My favorite SuperTramp song of them all. Sort of the forgotten hit of theirs.
The outro is spectacular!!
What’s so great about Supertramp is the way they build into a song and continue to blow you away with different instruments, tempos… this song is one of their best! I love every single Supertramp reaction you guys have! Next Gone Hollywood… you guys will love it! ❤️🎵🎸🎶
That is called Progressive Rock!
I have listened to many musical groups but none of these groups can move me like the music of Supertramp. No group like Supertramp can vary in songs. From classical to pop to rock to Jazz. Great choice and reaction. More Supertramp please.
Supertramp have created so many great grooves over the years. That outro is one of the best.
I'll say to anyone who will listen, they are amazing talents but overlooked by many is Dougie Thomson's chunky bass grooves
Music can simply take you places. I graduated HS when this Album came out 1979…And had my first car. I’m 62 now time flies. As always Peace ✌️

As the years have gone on I've grown ever fonder of this track, especially that outro. Great song!
Best outro ever! Every single time I hear it, I leave my body and fly to the end of the universe .....
The outro is great. Excellent change in feel and tonality
What a unigue sounding group..........so glad we have their albums to listen to for a LONG time
Classic Supertramp.
Shades of the Bee Gees (high pitched voices) ha ha🤣! But seriously, this is such a fun song. And what a killer outro!!! 💥💥💥
After the Crime of the Century
No stops. No pauses. This hit them hard.
Even in the Quietest Moments, title track from an earlier album is worth a listen. Really enjoy your reviews. ❤
Another 70's masterpiece. Released in 79 and in my opinion their best LP. Always a gas watching your reaction. 👍
You guys are awesome thanks for all the great music

Great show at the Forum in 1979, in support of this album. Incredible musicians.
Oh WOW, they are the one band that I would have paid more attention too back when they were around. I'll bet that was a good show!

@@ALD56 Wow, that's awesome! I had a buddy who saw them under pretty much the same circumstances and he said the same thing, totally BLOWN away.

I played this to death on my car cassette and I still have my vinyl record of "Breakfast in America". Loved that album
They played the hell out of this song on the radio to the point I tired of it, but it still a fantastic song!
Said the devil is my savior, but i don't pay no heed. One of the greatest lyrics ever written!
Haa, their ode to The Rockstar life and their "interactions" with Groupies...haa. I love the "just give me motion.." lyric..classic late 70's tune.
Great song and the outro is even better! ❤
Fabulous track and album. Next up should be Long Way Home, which is one of the most beautiful rock songs laid down on vinyl, next to Nights In White Satin and All My Love.
I love to watch you two guys react... You seem to really enjoy and respect the music !!
Cheers
Great album; It was one of the biggest in the late seventies. Alot of good songs.
still holds up
One of my all time favorite guitar solos!
Fabulous reaction gentleman can not go wrong with SuperTramp, they are such a multi talented band. Please keep up the great work love what you are doing for the AirPlay music family.
This album is sooooo good. ❤️🎶❤️
Thanks for the videos! Love your input and excitement!
The song is about the deep love between a young lad and his first dog. He is having to say goodbye to the pup on his way to school for the day.
Watch them live, even better
Shades of Frankie Vallie with the falsetto
Great selection, this group is excellent.
I remember seeing this record for the first time over at my buddy's house. He had just bought it so we put it on - was fantastic then and is still fantastic now. I was 14 then and almost 60 now.
They actually had a real whistler on stage and he was apart of the band!
That is a monster Jam! Their best in my opinion😁
Great musicians!
I can sing the outro guitar solo. I never realized that I had heard this enough to do that.

It's Roger Hodgson.
@@donnakubiski5572 sorry the Dann auto correct in my phone is better at misspelling than spelling!!!
Brings me back to driving around in the Mercury Comet, with this in the 8 track player.
The Hollies/Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)
Amazing song! So much going on.
i listened to this album all the time my first year of college. so good.
Crime of the Century was released in 1977, Breakfast in America was 1979.
I was not particularly a huge fan of this song in particular, but they definitely saved the best part of the song for last!! Thanks!
Watching these reactions with you both makes me pay attention to the lyrics of some songs that I've been singing along on the chorus parts for decades; it just dawned on me that he's singing about one-night stands, right? LOL. EDIT; you just said it, so yep, same interpretation 😊
Live concert in Paris a great way to experience Supertramp 🔥❤
Fools Overture is a masterpiece and Bloody Well Right is a rock and roll song
The album cover art is iconic! The depiction of Lady Liberty is portrayed by "Libby" the diner waitress of the era. Her name tag says Libby if you can get a good image to view. The NY skyline is made up of commonly found items in a diner from that time. Just killer cover, the more you look. Luv the reaction! This song does it for me!! ❤
One night stands and moving on with no shame. Reminds me of myself in my youth. Another notch on the bedpost. 😂😊
This fcking outro changed my life!! Can't finish a day without hearing it.
Legendary Supertramp! How I love these guys!
Bros. don't forget to do the studio version of "Child of Vision" off this album... It sounds much better than the live version you have already done. 😎
1979, considered there best i think, great reaction
This is a fantastic album that’s truly worthy of a reaction.
Yes!!! Thankyou, I needed that gear shift.
killer outro!
Crime of the Century came out in 1974, breakfast in America came out in the spring of 1979, the second semester of my freshman year in college. This album was the soundtrack of my summer that year.
Yep, about one night stands on the road.
Really how can anyone not like this song ?!
Hey guys love how you😢sense of music it it. K Ambrosia know for all their pop stuff. Check out their first one is. Range is crazy
I don't think you boys were aware of just how lost in the sauce you were How'd I know? You didn't pause that song! I have never seen one of your reactions where you don't pause at least once 😎Jump into the full album and enjoy it all✌
2 sleepy dudes here. Thanks for hangin' in, guys. 😊
Solid record front to back. Time to get into some proto-metal!
Time to go forward a few years to the title song "Even in the Quietest Moments" from the same album. (Studio version) They are untouchable
Excellent choice gentlemen😅
They did the snaps live! With real fingers!
The best Super Tramp song ever. Turn it up and put the pedal to the metal!
Roger Hodgson is my fave Wah pedal user.
HUge fan of you from Barcelona, please don't forget one of my favorite Albums from them. "Even in the quietest moments" and check to "Fool's Overture" song, will blows your mind. Hugs
LIBBY (waitress) is the Statue of Liberty and look closely at the city behind her. Looking out an airplane window and America.
Great transitions, vocals, and story! The whole album is great from beginning to end!it is 2 albums after Crime of the Century on their biggest and I feel best album, Breakfast in America!
a really great album by a band that really could play
I saw Supertramp in concert 🇬🇧👌
You guys already know. Great great song!
Guitar playing - top, top tier!
This comes about 5 years AFTER "Crime of the Century", it's not before.
Loved this album. ❤️
Crime of the century was in mid 70s I was in bootcamp
This is 3 albums after Crime of the Century (3rd album), they have added just a touch more pop to their prog sound by this time.
I would request "Lady" from their 4th album - Crisis? What Crisis? - an underrated Supertramp album IMO.
Leonid and Friends cover of Chicago's 'I'm a Man". Best Chicago cover band on earth. They knock this out the park fellas!
Definitely about the girls they meet on the road.
Good one here love you guys
