    7. Tran fats (hydrogenated)
    8. Cortisol
    9. Diuretics
    10. Statins
    11. MSG (monosodium glutamate) - (modified food starch)
    12. Mineral and vitamin deficiencies
    -potassium deficiencies
    -magnesium deficiencies
    -sodium deficiencies
    -zinc deficiencies

    -calcium excess
    -vitamin B1 deficiencies
    -vitamin D deficiencies
    -vitamin A deficiencies
    Insulin resistance comes from sustained high levels of insulin. Insulin resistance turns into diabetes eventually. When someone has insulin resistance, it is hard to test it because it could be sub-clinical and not show up for 10 years. Your blood sugars could be normal because the body is compensating and adapting.

Anything from dry lips to yummy keto recipes, Dr B has it all ! For years I had the worst Hypoglycemia symptoms but my blood sugars were normal, I always knew I didn't "feel" normal. Hi Doc Berg. Agree with all except for diuretics. I take 12.5mg of HCT daily and since starting Keto 12 days ago i have lost 7lbs. I am hoping to get off of the HCT but for now will leave well enough alone. Prior to starting Keto I was always hypoglycemic and having to eat every 2 hours to keep from crashing. I was insulin resistant but did not know it. I am not a diabetic but may have been headed that direction. My fasting BS is 81 and my most recent A1C was 4.9. I was suffering with hypoglycemia for 5 years! Since starting Keto I have not been hypoglycemic! Keto really is helping me. Thanks.

    For anyone stuck in limbo with insulin resistance. It took me about one and half months to see results on the scale. (I noticed changes to my heart skippes first and no water in the legs anymore)
    I started off with 3day fast, followed by a mix of warrior fast, omad and two meals a day. You shouldn't omad at the same time, switch between dinner and lunch so your body doesnt get used to a specific time(it'll burn less fat). You can eat what you want when you eat, eating less carbs will spike insulin less.
    I know it's disheartening, but if you keep pushing when you feel lile giving up you'll get there.
    Edit: just before I started losing weight I did a bikeride to get my food - the store was closed. So I did about 30 Minutes of light city cycling in my 28/29 hour fasted state and had to wait a bit more for my food delivery to arrive. I still lost weight the next day and it's not stopped so far.

    I live in Europe. I have diabetes, high blood pressure and overweight. Doctors prescribe statins to lower cholesterol. Now when I know how harmful they are, I don't take them even though he asks me if I take them and I lie to him that I do!!?. This is paranoia but I can't tell the doctor that he is prescribing a harmful drug that is ineffective and still harmful to me! He will take offense and tell me who the doctor is here and let me heal myself when I am smarter than him! Someone tell me why is this happening? I think they are financially profitable by medical concerns and injecting people with drugs from the sale of which these concerns live. Thank you Dr. Berg for all this valuable information.

      He said 3 to 6 ounces which is 85 to 170g of protein per day. For insulin resistance, I would have 1 or 2 meals a day since intermittent fasting is incredible for insulin resistance. I would have the first meal and the 2nd 4-6 hours later to allow a long time period for insulin to go down. You should also incorporate around 75g healthy fats and try to limit carbs as much as possible but maybe have veggies and fruits with high fiber but shouldn’t go over 30g of carbs.

    • @dallimamma
      @dallimamma 6 років тому

      Drmalyha ::: Yes, we are primed for insulin resistance from the get-go... the first impact is the diet & pollution all mothers experience while pregnant, which effects us in utero, as well as degrading cell division and the quality of the eggs of females, which are made in the embryo before birth... The next layer of poison is the amount of vaccinations we drown our babies with, all designed to degrade our perfectly healthy offspring, then, the amount of particulates we unwittingly absorb and inhale 24/7 from geo-engineered nano-scale aluminium doesn’t leave us with many choices for optimal health.

    • @Drmalyha
      @Drmalyha 6 років тому

      You are right. I just heard of chemtrails yesterday. I also learned that first trimester mothers get nauseated and throw up because her body is trying to protect the newly developed fetus from the toxins in her body and the toxins she continuously inhale, drink, eat, and even touch. I think glyphosate in vegetables made me not able to touch them to eat during my pregnancy.

    • @dallimamma
      @dallimamma 6 років тому

      Gosh, I was so ignorant when I was pregnant, I was under the impression that the placenta was a barrier to toxins and pollution, turns out, it’s a super highway!!!
      The synthetic chemicals we drown in are largely responsible for the proliferation of modern gender bending, which apparently occurs very early in the pregnancy as well, if the mother can’t offer enough testosterone to the male foetus, confusion abounds and multiplies... God help us to release these moronic devils from our world!

Because of the high protein in the liver, it can help take away your hunger. Great with cooking mct oil and purple onion.

    I have been on blood pressure and cholesterol for nearly 10 years. I have now found out i produce to much insulin and a fatty liver. I dont think my doctor understands this stuff you are telling us. My dietitian through bloods found the high insulin. I am fasting with my last meal at night and the next day. I am eating thr vegetables you tell us to, but i am still lethargic and have nausea.
    Can you give me anymore pointers please.
    Regards Glenn.

    Hi Dr. Berg, Thank you so much for all this info. At 140 lbs, I'm only 10 lbs away from my ideal weight. I've had digestive problems all my life and discovered digestive enzymes though a complimentary med dr., which help me very much. I've been on a vegetarian candida diet for the past 25 years but was diagnosed last month with insulin resistance. My cholesterol and blood pressure are climbing. I want to do the keto diet to improve my health, but I can't digest fats, especially animal fat. Any hope for me?

    Hi Doctor, thanks for this extremely useful information. Please tell me, if there is any medical test to check whether one has Insulin Resistance or we have to judge it by just the symptoms?

    • @MOAB-UT
      @MOAB-UT 2 роки тому +1

      Buy a cheap test kit at Walmart. Test blood sugar fasting (AM) and 2 hours after meals. you want the post meal number under 140. AM number should be under 100. An A1C test is even better. You probably are so just work on it.

    Type 1 diabetics can also be insulin resistant, especially women t1's. It's far more difficult for a t1 to overcome it, but it can be done with keto and heavier weight workouts.

    I like the first two, the rest forget it.
    Let's take number 3: eating frequency:
    Case 1: eat 10x per day 150kcals per meal, total daily =1500kcals
    Case 2: eat 1x per day with 2500kcals per meal (i.e. per day)
    If you are interested in losing weight, are you seriously going to pick Case 2 because of a worry of insulin spikes? 😅

    Dr. Eric, when doing intermittent fasting (2 meals between 12:00pm - 8:00PM), is it okay to take Multi Vitamins in the morning or other sort of medications? i.e Pain Killers, Anti Anxiety Pills. Or Should the medication be taken during the eating hours? Just highlighting the fact that I'm only asking about medications that we usually use on our own when needed without a prescribed specific time from the doctor.
    Thank you for your amazing videos.

    I think it would have been useful to mention that protein while increasing insulin also produces glucagon which converts to glucose. This counter effect keeps the blood glucose levels stable.

    I have a question about lean protein. I drink buttermilk. So you know, it's the milk that you keep shaking until the butter comes out and you're left with only buttermilk. It's a weird name, it should be vallen butterlesmilk or something. Is buttermilk also 'lean protein'? Because it's very healthy.

    To much carbohydrates causes toxicity and a unique fat to build at the receptor site. Insulin backs up to a bottle neck and blood sugar rises. Proteins may actually break down the fat at the receptor site and restore the receptor site back to normal. IGF which under normal conditions is your best friend, but like insulin goes from making you healthy and young, to old and unhealthy. So how do we correct that?

    There's so much to figure out it makes my head swim. I just wish there was a place to go eat this food and not have to make it ourselves. I can't remember all the rules. I've never seen a keto restaurant anywhere. If that existed nearby, I could eat there twice a day and not have to figure all this out. The preparation of all those keto meals is daunting, which most won't be able to keep up with. So it ends in failure. It's hard to eat a BLT with no toasted bread to put it on.

    My question is: I know you say it's best not to snack because this will spike insulin- will smelling food or seeing food in a commercial spike insulin. I know as soon as a person wakes in the morning this triggers their system to wake up. I know that when you smell or see food this will trigger salivation. So why not trigger an insulin spike too? 🤔
