I didn't keep tabs of the time because it was taking such a long time. I quit checking my blood sugars for a over a year. Then when I started checking it again a few months ago is when I made the discovery. So it happened somewhere along the way. I also notice my body is getting toned up again too. It's like my muscles stopped responding at one point and now they are coming back. It was a long hard fight...many times I literally felt like I was starving to death and the cravings for sugar was so unreal.... then one day it just stopped and I didn't crave or want sugar at all. But I still do eat my honey. It's a good honey source though I eat it with organic natural peanut butter. I'm thinking about quitting eating those too. Sorry info isn't too informative. I was diagnosed as diabetic last year... it didn't make sense, I was not overweight... 189 lbs. But numbers don't lie. I went kicking and screaming into using a meter... but I had to as I had a glucose of 486+ a year ago and a 7.8 A1c, Doc tried to put me on meds, but I went for a keto diet. It was hard as I have always had a sweet tooth (cookies, cake, donuts, sodas, more cookies). 4 months ago I was down to a 6.8 A1c and glucose levels of 180-140 (Doc tried to get me on meds again, but I thew out the prescription), 4 months after that I am now at a 5.2 A1c and 98-110 glucose levels and my weight was 184 lbs... all because I just changed my diet to keto/paleo. I found the comments in all the UA-cam videos were very helpful for me so I am adding my experience.

Different family doctors over the years NEVER talked about this sort of thing. Even when I told them about tingling in the feet and lower legs at 60 years old. All they did was take my blood sugar which was 5.9 and say there was nothing wrong with me and didn't know what the tingling was all about. @@arsalammsamm8667the sooner you get this thing under control, the better off you’ll be. It really is very simple (not easy though). Cut out processed foods, if it’s in a box or a bag, just take a pass. You should take in healthy carbs, leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, and low carb fruit like berries (strawberries and raspberries) are healthy carbs. Take in enough fat and protein (red meat, chicken , fish, nuts, cheese, yogurt are good sources) to satisfy your hunger and don’t eat when you’re not hungry. Stay away from breaded fish and chicken. You could implement time restricted eating (intermittent fasting) and that can speed up progress. You have to be prepared to live this way most days. I have birthday cake at celebrations, but my everyday meal plan does not include processed food or many high carb foods especially added sugars. No bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, cookies , cakes, pies, biscuits, tortillas, cereal, granola, none of that. Also nix the sugary drinks. Water or unsweetened tea (coffee if you’re not caffeine sensitive) are your drinks of choice. I’ve heard some Dr.s talk about artificial sweeteners being very questionable with regard to impact on insulin levels as well as the creation of sugar cravings. I don’t indulge. Do your research and make your own decision. Sometimes we need a crutch before we go cold turkey. But in the interest of saving your health and quality of life, it’s great that you’re exploring now about ways to decrease insulin resistance. Good luck on your journey!
Oh also how do I know? Lost 86lbs in 12 months and a1c down from 13 to 5.9 as of February this year. It can be done. Don’t worry and don’t give up!

I was overweight and my doctor raised the alarm about my blood sugar levels. I was at 5.6. Did some research and discovered I was eating a lot of carbs and sugar, and, that my body can burn fat as fuel instead of carbs (keto). So I marginalized the foods that piled on the carbs and sugars and switched to fatty foods for energy. Didn't eat less, just changed what I ate. I lost 35 pounds and I'm at my ideal weight for my size, and my blood sugar levels are just fine at 5.1. There was no effort to this. The pounds just fell off. The strangest thing that I didn't expect is that I'm perfectly satisfied now at eating one meal per day with a bit of a fatty snack thrown in just for the fun of it. Dr Berg is right on. Listen to him. I feel 20 years younger which is pretty good considering I'm 60. One thing you should accept if you want to be healthy: don't follow the federal recommendations for a balanced diet. That's what got me into trouble in the first place.

It’s not eating sugar / carbs that causes diabetes - it’s the consumption of sakryIegyuz products (meats / dairy / eggs etc) that causes pre-diabetes or diabetes, which is why it’s always those eating non-plant-based diets that get it! In fact, it’s even been shown that animaI fat / animaI protein are what cause insulin resistance and make one’s body lose its natural ability to make the sugar levels go back to normal after consuming dietary sugar! I ate more sugar / sweets / carbs than anyone, and my bIood sugar has always been around 80 to 83 or 84, and the last time I checked (about one or two months ago) it was very low around 70 as I hadn’t eaten anything for 16+ hours before the test, as the body runs on sugar and carbs and has the ability to make the sugar levels go back to normal no matter how much dietary sugar and carbs are consumed! I am going to send my bIood to the lab next week, so that I know for sure if I have any risk of getting pre-diabetes and to find out if I have any deficiencies and any cancers and any other issues! I also had some tests done to check if I have any bacteria / fungi etc in my saliva / nose / sweat and intimate areas, and they said everything is perfectly normal and there are no pathogens in or on my body! And now I have to get my bIood tested too, just to be sure, even though I am pretty sure I don’t have anything and it doesn’t even feel like I have something, plus I cannot even remember the last time I had a cold or a fever, as my immunity has been extremely strong over the past 11+ years!

Sugar isn’t the cause of diabetes, and even though sugar / sweets can definitely irritate the nerves of the teeth and can cause toothache esp when consumed in excess and even though trying to chew on extremely hard candy can definitely cause a tooth (esp a tooth that had an existing cavity since childhood) to break, it doesn’t cause new cavities and it doesn’t make existing cavities get any worse - so, these are two of the main misconceptions re sugar / sweets, and the true cause of diabetes is animaI protein / animaI fat, while dairy is the main cause of new cavities forming and existing cavities getting worse, and I even noticed the worst tooth issues during the 1 or 2 years when I consumed a lot of dairy, which made my teeth move and the cavities got worse, yet after I ditched all dairy and all other animaI ingredients, I haven’t noticed any new cavities forming and even the existing cavities stayed the same over the past 11+ years and my teeth haven’t moved at all since then!

Also, keto is one of the most unhtst diets, and losing weight is not an indication of hth - keto diets cause weight loss, yet cause serious hth issues, which is a known fact! The proper way to lose weight in a normal way is by eating a plant-based diet with less fats and less calories than the calories consumed, and one would think all doctors and all nutritionists would have been taught these facts by now, yet misinfo is still the main things that’s being taught to most doctors and nutritionists - It’s calories in vs calories out for the most part, and consuming less calories from fat! However, one can still do a keto diet on a plant-based diet if one really wants to eat such a diet!

My weight was also at my highest ever, 274 pounds. Everything you just shared in this video was ME. I have been following your advice for over 17 months now, and I am now at 144 pounds as of yesterday! I wish I would have known about keto and IF and all you've shared about insulin many years earlier. It certainly would have helped me possibly not even get to the point I was with my health. I love your phrase, "You have to get healthy to lose the weight..." So true.... I hope people who watched this video who are new to keto and your teaching watch this over and over again to really understand what's behind their constant hunger and overeating. Thank YOU for all you do! I feel amazing at age 52 and can't believe how good I look and feel today because of your guidance!

I noticed that my blood sugar was creeping up, I had dawn phenomenon. Thing is I’ve never been overweight, I exercise and study nutrition. Hmmm I thought, then I found the missing piece to my puzzle through my other interest - high electro magnetic frequencies and the effect these have on our cells. I found research that shows high electric frequencies can cause our blood sugar to rise. Just thought I’d pass this on. Dirty Electricity, 5g etc etc
