Flatten a BUMPY and UNEVEN Lawn - EASY
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- 2 guys with a couple of rakes flatten a bumpy lawn in 2 hours. As you can see, the grass has popped through a ton in just 6 days (I would have showed further progress but it was time to upload the video). I usually expect a bumpy lawn leveling project to recover in about 2 weeks with proper watering and fertilization.

Man I need this done to my yard! Any chance you and Left tool want to come to west TN and hook me up! Ill make burgers...🤣🤣
Haha shoot there’s gotta be somebody who does it in your area, right?
I’m sure, I could do it myself. But man it’s a lot of work.

It can be. This is true
NW Arkansas dirt is tough, rocky, compact clay soil. I need to over level, but I’m leaning towards doing a core aeration then using compost to try and improve my soil. I’m gonna do that a few times then switch to sand
I have been asking people about compost and I’m trying to find a good quality one that won’t have weed seeds in it. Any leads for me???
@@TheLawnTools I bought some from chevstrucking and it looks to be good quality. Haven’t seen any weeds pop out yet
Greetings bro I like your videos from Puerto Rico greetings
🥰😁👍🏼
First Aussie 😁. Team Tool. 😎
I have a 2 year old lawn but it's extremely bumpy and seems like it was a half ass job. Is it too early to look into laying some soil and or sand to even out and overseed?
Did the one really low spot have issues, or did the grass grow right up through there?
It has only been a week. That spot will be slower to recover but within 3 weeks it will be full. I have done much deeper before
@@TheLawnTools is it Bermuda? Wish my KBG was that vigorous.
@@steffen707-
Yes this is Bermuda
They commonly sized 11/16 appreciate your continent.
I just did this to my yard in Conway, AR last weekend... About 8k sq.ft. in total, and it took me forever! Two full days plus two full evenings. I'm really curious to see the results after a few weeks. I applied some humichar and some pgf complete after, so hopefully that will do it. But it's a tougher task compared to what I originally expected!
Oh man if this is your first time you are going to LOVE the results!
that rake is really nice
Im guessing yall are in NorthWest Arkansas. I in Central Arkansas.
I thought doing this with just straight sand ,is not good for the lawn
Why sand and not screened soil? Does seed grow in sand?
I have that landize leveling rack and it’s amazing. Just don’t try push to big of piles.
Ha yea I guess the wider the rake the more sand it can move which makes the pipes extra heavy
Hey dostum bende bu işlerle uğraşıyorum, sizinle çalışmak istiyorum 🎊 👑✋🏾😊
Bet those spot are buried plywood. Looks pretty rectangular. Happened to me. 😊
Oh dang that could be a possibility!!
what kind of sand did you use? any suggestions on how much is a good start for 3,000 sq ft of newly sodded zoysia?
I liked the video, and the speed in which this task can be done.
Before I go to Home Depot/Lowes or some other landscaping materials shop, does this sand have a specific name or type (I have no idea if there are different types of sand(s). I live in California and we have wierd stuff out here so we might have many different types of sand, who knows.
The stuff I used in this video was left over from a neighbors pool install. Hopefully the head Tool pipes in but I think masonry sand is what he gets but basically as long as there aren’t rocks in it, you’re fine
@@bdborth Thank you for the quick response.
Yes like Brandon said - masonry sand because it has no rocks (or it’s not supposed to and you should tell the supplier if it does. People get their money back because brick layers don’t want rocks either).
sand😂😂😂😂😂
Huge fan! Can I do this on my St Augustine lawn in Florida? Height of cut is 4" anything lower than 3.5" tends to be problematic with lawn health especially with 110 heat index lately
What kind of dirt was used or is it just regular sand ?
Fantastic “Let’s Go”. What was the deciding bribe that convinced you to help your buddy out? An ice cream or reading lessons?😂😂
I have heavy clay and Kentucky blue grass. Would this still be a good idea?
do you suggest maybe do this beginning of Fall and overseed at the same time
Awsome video! Which state are you guys located in?
going to be doing this to the Horrible job the builder did, but will do it in stages i think
End result please
Will post in the next sand video. It has only been a week but I will show results for sure.
What sand are using?
Any sand is good?
Any luck getting seed to germinate on top of sand for a renovation??
Does the sand have seed in it or do you spread grass seed on top after watering and fertilizing? In Idaho and mostly Kentucky Blue grass.
I leveled my lawn with the exact rake and shovel 😅
Well at least you threw down some K on the yard with the banana peel 🤣
😂👍🏼👍🏼
Friends helping friends. Love to see it
Wooo
Pig
Sooie!
Great video and hard work at making it level
looking good!
Where do you get your sand from in NW Arkansas?
I have a buddy that gets it from a quarry. But in the past I have gotten it from APAC
