You should do mostly TTTF with a little bit of KBG for Rick. TTTF likes to be cut high and the KBG helps fill in any gaps! 🤙

Been looking forward to seeing the ruts get filled up. Just trying to continue to learn and take notes for when soil temps here in Colorado are ready to go do the seeding.
For materials, have you look at local soil places? You can probably get the sand and soil from other places and not the big box store and save a ton. Not sure how they can put a bucket of sand in your BMW though but its an option 😂
Keep it up bro, enjoying the content

Brah you can seed, the seed will germinate when it is ready... Won't harm anything, same as dormant seeding but much shorter... Or start your pre germination, could do that to

I think in certain climates where the soil is much more clay than soil, mixing in sand can be a bad idea because the clay soil acts like the “cement” in your formula. But I’m no expert.

We recently moved and the lawn is pretty tough. There is moss everywhere, clover, crab grass, weeds of every kind, and to top it off birds came around and chewed it up quite nicely so leveling issues as well. Would like you advice as to what to do or how to start fixing this!! Not sure if it’s best to first level the lawn with top soil?

Not sure about the laws there, but in most places, everything from the sidewalk to the street is public property so it’s not really your lawn and I’m torn because I understand how you feel, but I also have had dogs (a dachshund as well), and I would respond very poorly if someone put that kind of thing out in a public place, where I happened to walk my dog.
That said, I think most people that don’t know you personally, aren’t aware of the work you are putting in on the grass; they’re just walking their dogs and it’s grass. That sign isn’t very eye catching either… You know it’s there, but unless they are looking directly at it (and they’re not), it never even registers to them. They’re focused on other things or even daydreaming.
A sign or two that is much bolder/more likely to be seen, and facing the same direction as the sidewalks would help them notice at least.

A bill which the German Agriculture Ministry put forward, was introduced as part of the Animal Protection Act, it's looking to build on laws to strengthen laws on what they're calling "torture breeding." "the document said it could ban the reproduction of breeds prone to particular problems, such as the frequent spinal issues seen in dogs.
This includes dogs that have "skeletal anomalies," like long spines and short legs, which are key characteristics of a beloved dog breed: the Dachshund or "sausage dog."
