I have a Puma not TD5 but I'm doing the same thing. Did you just wire the Positive to that black and white and negative to earth somewhere and it worked?
I wire the black and white wire into the switch it's just one wire that's all you need to do, that's if you are using the existing Defender heated window switch to power the heat mirror pads...if you want please send me a message on my Instagram... and I will be more than to help you...
