welcome back to another video JAKd Fam! Hope ya'll enjoy this one. Its such an easy and super tasty meal prep. If you've got a recommendation for the next meal prep or recipe shoot em below!
JAK we definitely need more meal prep videos. While I might not use the exact recipe it gives me ideas that I can manipulate and fit towards my own goals. Love the videos.
Great recipe bro! What thing that lacks in the bodybuilding community is the lack of Asian meals! Korean sauces are filled with a lot of hidden low volume sugar calories and high fat meat, so this is great! FYI, I lived in Seoul for over a year, as a teacher and was pretty interesting haha. One thing that caught me by surprise , was the limited protein sources. It was pork , eggs and squid all day long. Regular meals always were traditionally served with an egg on top to supplement its lacking of meat. Chicken was limited to wing sized drumsticks, cold cuts limited to highly processed ham, and beef was only high end for birthdays due to its price. So at Korean bbqs, people only ate pork. Cheers bro!
This is SOOOO on pt. Whenever i visit i always have the hardest time trying to get my family to add more meat/protein to meals. Appreciate your support and sharing you experience! 🔥💯
@@JasonAlexanderKim Yea u got family there? Korea was the the time of my life! I'm Viet, so I just blended in. I kept protein powder and lived off of Pork Katsu cuz it was higher in protein. Lost 50 lbs cuz there was so much walking 🚶♀️ 10/10 I'll be back 😁
I’ll have to give this recipe a try! My partner and I love Asian cuisine (and I love cooking it) - last year when we started cutting back on meat I started making Korean rice bowls with Impossible Meat… so good. Some marinated impossible meat mixed up with cut green beans (I buy frozen for simplicity), some green onions, topped with sesame seeds over rice, so good. I know it can be healthier if I make a homemade sauce. Right now I use a store bought, either Teriyaki or Szechuan depending on how hot we want things mixed with Gochujang… sooooo delicious but in the back of my mind I know there’s sodium and sugars I want to avoid. So I try to use it sparingly. I’d imagine with a homemade version like this I’d save myself a couple hundred calories!
I love this! I live in South Korea and my husband is Korean. We're trying to build muscle together but recently we've felt like we've been lacking good Korean anobolic recipes, so our diet is not sustainable. I would love to see more! Thank you~♡
Thank you so much for this awesome recipe!! (Literally was trying to think of what to make & saw your recipe post) I made this for part of my meal prep for the week and it came out absolutely delicious. I let my ground turkey sit in the marinade for about an hour before cooking. Made some turmeric rice and sauteed peppers & onions to complete my meals. Can't get over how delicious and flavorful! Plus having simple, easy access ingredients and the recipe not taking a lot of time to prepare is important for me. Thanks again!
Love the recipe Jason - I will be making this for my next meal prep - but with turkey breast mince - just used to it and I find I just enjoy it more than beef. Still enjoy a nice T-Bone on a cheat day though...
After reading the story about that college kid that lost limbs due to eating rice leftovers I have had a hard time trying to eat rice after the second day after cooking. (I know it's stupid because I have eaten rice several days after cooking hundreds of times........I can't stop the thought now though) So I make rice in amounts that I will eat that day now.
If you are - i usually will add 2-3 tbs of water for every cup of rice. Most say 1 tbsp but i find when you need to steam in the microwave you need a lil extra. Ill top it off with a microwavable lid … make sure its got a space for air to evacuate so it creates a steaming effect abd then hit about 2 min. Usually does the job for me.

Great recipe, I'll try it this week. Thanks!
Great idea! I like doing this with fatty short ribs, but I should start eating leaner meats more often...

Orange chicken ASAPPPP JAK
general tso or orange chicken JAK
As a fellow Korean… *HIGH-FIVE*
🇰🇷 ayyyyy
Which veggies would go well with this recipe ?
Does 200 grams of white jasmine rice equal 200 calories?
how is this with chicken breast or chicken thigh?
It works well but again i recommend letting it actually marinade. Let it sit for 30min at least to let the protein absorb the flavors.
Any tips for reheating rice so it doesn't get dry af?
Are u leaving rice in the fridge or freezer?
@@JasonAlexanderKim fridge
@@smittywerbenjagermanjenson1408 are you currently just tossing the rice back into the microwave?
If you are - i usually will add 2-3 tbs of water for every cup of rice. Most say 1 tbsp but i find when you need to steam in the microwave you need a lil extra. Ill top it off with a microwavable lid … make sure its got a space for air to evacuate so it creates a steaming effect abd then hit about 2 min. Usually does the job for me.
Also what might help a lil bit more is if you add a lil more water from the get go when youre making the rice. Hope that helps!
Do a low cal bibimbap!!!
