The COOLEST guy in Rock (pun!) is Roger Glover. The guy is always at the front, yet at the back, he's a great musician, he co-composed some of the greatest anthems in Rock (pun again), he produced some of the greatest artists, he had a hit single with a singing frog, he's still rockin' around the world and he seems to be a great guy to be hanging around with... AND he's been wearing hats and bandanas since the very early 70's and STILL has a full head of hair...Now that's COOL :-) :-) 🙂

@@BrendonSnyder still impressive, seems like every time i'm up there, there's traffic, even at night coming back from a show at 1 am , still traffic lol. Lived in jersey for three years, I miss the place.
Anthony needs to start a UA-cam channel actually you two need to start a UA-cam channel just about shooting the shit about music, albums, artists and hear what you like and dislike. That would be great to watch. Think about it.
Oh man! Anthony saying, "They look like farmers from the 1700's" about made me spit out my coffee! I once had someone call at the record store asking about the Pearl Jam show that was going to happen at this small club in my city. This was before PJ got really huge. At that time we were getting loads of calls about the PJ show. I think I'd had my fill. I told her that Eddie Vedder choked on a chicken bone. She got really mad and asked for the manager. I was the manager. This PJ show was becoming a disaster in many ways and got cancelled. Vedder also asked for some special food, I think it was tabouli, in his rider.
Keep up the great convos, Anthony and Brendon! Looking forward also to seeing what you guys find at the "Vinyls" store.

I feel the same way, damn that was funny......I always used to imagine when i'm listening to a live album, and the lead singer says "is everybody ready to ROOOOOCK? " what if the audience went "NO!" then the band says "Ok, Nevermind then, and goes home.....lol . give that man a youtube channel! you guys make a great team in the video's.

Def leopard is pure corporate rock. High and dry is great, they started to lose thier way with Pyromania and then went full cartoon rock by Hysteria.
like they said - it depends how old you are / were when you first heard them - I only heard 'Photograph' on the radio before "Hysteria" album came out so I loved Hysteria and then grew to love Pyromania... I didn't like "Adrenalize" and hated "Slang"... now I go backwards and love "High N Dry" the most...but I can listen to all of their first 4 albums without skips over and over again... I re-discovered the songs on "Retro Active" - any 95% of the Steve Clark era songs are a 10 for me, and I only like about 5% of the ones without him (Promises, a couple off Adrenalize and a few tracks off the new album) - it's a shame because I love Vivian Campbell - especially his work with Dio, but most of the songs he's done with Def Leppard he's not nearly as good. to me I think I can sum it up as On Through the Night is the album your older brother loves, High N Dry is the album you love, Pyromania is the album your younger brother loves, Hysteria is the album your sister loves and Adrenalize is the album your mom loves.
I think Metallica has similar parallels - I started with Justice and love the first 5 albums, the black album they definitely sold out on... load and reload are like slang to me where they tried to hop on the grunge thing instead of sticking to their roots... and since then it's a few songs here or there but only the first 4 I can do without skips... it might also be because they came out on CD where we COULD skip - and CD with the 78 minute run time kept a lot of not so good songs which would have been left off the albums when they were 35 minutes long

But I suppose if hearing Anthony say way he did made you feel better than maybe it was serendipitous for you to hear it 👍 That said, go make a channel! People said I should do it and I thought nah but I did anyway and 4 years later here I am!

Accomplishments and legacy can make one cool. Kevin Cronin is still cool! Robin McAuley is cool. Anthony’s store blew me away this past weekend.
Brant Bjork was the drummer for Kyuss which was the band Josh Homme came from before Queens Of The Stone Age. But Brant has also had an elaborate solo career. If you like Stoner Rock check out by Kyuss and Brant’s solo stuff.
"Dropped" used to mean discontinued/out of print.

I'm 55 and I tell the young guys at work all the time they have no idea what cool is. I, however, ooze cool and can't help it. 🤣😂🤣. I think Anthony should start a UA-cam channel, why not? Do it at the store and show some of the daily ins and outs and provide color commentary. Just don't be a dick!! LOL!!!!!

I personally don't like using modern phrases - they seem out of context - it's slang - and many people use it - this lad at work (24 years old - im 43) described a song as 'cold' he liked the song i suppose its the opposite of it being described as a 'hot track' ha ha but they mean the same thing? Nonsense basically! 'A deep dive' is another phrase in the music world ha ha - nobody went swimming - though you could use it in context if you were discussing that 'high n dry' album by Def Leppard (considering the album cover) that album 'Dropped' a long time ago......ha ha. That album is 'cold' i imagine!! Gibberish!! Love these video's though - i think Antony is cool...

I agree with Anthony. Songs that have 'rockin' or 'rockers' in the title can be cringy. Perfect example...recent Whitesnake single "Hey You (You Make Me Rock)". Good song, but that title...oy vey!
