@@serenowens7179 YOu get a little pop up in your message area that tells you. Then you just find them. I usually see them over on the off the grid island
A few weeks? We got the island done in like five days! Just bring groups of people to the island to pick up trash. They can pick up ten to fifteen pieces of trash each in one group outing. You just do "beachcomb for trash" as a group
Carl, you work so hard getting us this information. I was wondering, do you really get to actually enjoy personal gameplay? And thank you for all that you do, your the absolute best at it!

💀thank God for this summary, i recently started playing amd was confused on why my person was getting denied connection from the Sulani Elementals. And i cleaned up things without watching the trailer or anything, but I was confused. But I'm definitely going to switch careers though for sure
The biggest irony with the eco-friendly job, is that so many people interested in this sort of thing are not living it vicariously by playing The Sims anymore, they're out in the REAL environment making the world a better place. Deep down, I feel, that this is what we've all wanted to do for years, but only when people started to do this and the movement gained momentum has it become a reality.

Does the island revert back, and you have to keep it up? Or is it a 1 time change?

@hannah So it's a game of micro-management meets plate-spinning? The Sims is so boring the more we think about it. I don't play it any more. I came to check out the conservationist career because I played for a long time and I was interested in understanding what's keeping people coming back. I think people are waking up to this game now though.

Please do a review of this expansion pack. I was really disappointed and I want to know if I’m the only one
I was really excited thinking the developpers and simtubers were hiding something and letting us discovering things in it but the truth is that...there is nothing to do at all, remember when the sims had several trailers because there were lots of features in the EPs? Island living is just "chill"! Just one more feature would have vhanged that: a secret mermaid world (like aliens), active scuba diving or at least more water sports and activities! In Island living, we just snorkle and swim and clean a neighbordhood and that's it! I was so disapointed, if it was a vacation world where our sims go to sùathe, relax and help the locals to clean the beaches, I would have loved it more (as a game pack though) but EA was a little bit greedy with this one I guess.

I agree. It got boring pretty quickly. I'd almost rather play in the other worlds where you get all the seasons, and then just take my families on day trips to Sulani.
Working on that now. Probably a 12-15min video, but it'll take some time to attempt to do it right.
Katherine Z all the sims 4 packs have disappointed me somehow. I always expect more. In previous games, expansions were usually really adding to you game. Now... well... I’d rather have more mods than more packs.

Dolphin one is crazy, if they do wicked pets. Wicked mermaid works now. Wicked dolphin comes soon lol.
Well, all it took from me was to move to that empty beach on Mua Pelam while having Superstar quirk Stan, while all my entrances are locked only thing they could do is to search beach or search trash bin, but that creates mess and they usually clean it afterwards (or you can do it when they leave your house), but because this mess works as local mess, cleaning it up helps cleaning whole island... Also it is possible to use Hardiness skill, get some electronic item from build menu (such as voice assistant) break it up for parts, when item becomes broken, cancel that activity, and when you repair it up afterwards you create pile of mess, then you can clean it the same way as that trash bin thing, though I had small problems with this as when I created more piles only one awarded me points for cleaning up island, though I am not sure of that (Stan quirk is automatic and faster if your stan enjoys trash bin diving)
1:00 wtf! My sulfur piles aren't going away after I extinguish them!!! -_-
Are you sure only Mua pel'am changes? Once I got the island thriving, patches of glowing plankton appeared on other island as well.
I’m playing in marine biologist, when the daily task is survey ocean wildlife in mua pel am. I cannot do that. I go to mua pel am and click on survey ocan wild. When it’s over. The daily task do not pass. So please help me do fix that. Thank in advance.

it will take forever, cSan Myshuno is a really busy world unlike Sulani! there are 4 festivals and conventions that work so differently; the appartements brought new lots traits that keep your sims awake at the middle of the night (loud neighbors, rats, bugs, plumbing problems, electricity problems); the penthouses are kinda expensive but okay; you can go to a karaoke bar, or an art center, invite sims for a video game party; the new careers aren't boring because you can actually deliver speeches to collect more votes or more money (if you're in the charity branch) your sim can create a manifestation; you can also choose a social media career (really amplified with get famous) or just be a critic, a fun career (you can review food and drinks and/or an art piece/performance) also amplified if you have dine out. You can also street perform and c'mon this pack brought 18 new lots traits. Also it added bubble bars, basketball court, karaoke machines, fireworks, keybords, food stalls, the possibilty to sell your art piece on the street (a street gallery and street vendor table) and in total if we count the appartements, San Myshuno has 30 lots.
That was a summary of it all...then we have Island living, the total opposite: they wanted us to chill in Sulani but it's so chill there's almost nothing to do there.

@@swagit4174 yeah city living and get together are a little bit underrated, there are plenty of things to do in these packs but the majority of players praise cats and dogs and seasons at a point that the other packs seem weak which is such a shame when we know all the things each pack brought to the game.
I wish the ecosystem would change the entire neighbourhood. Kind of lazy of EA to restrict it to only one island.

I wanna know more about diving but I feel like it's going to disappoint me. I want the ability to have sea creatures in my sims house like frogs and aliens from the rocketship. I'm fairly sure the only thing I'm going to be able to collect are fish and seashells... Sigh
There's a new buried treasure and seashell category, but other than that you're spot on. The buoys show your Sim going under next to them, then you hit speed 3 and see what they got when they resurface. It's a rabbit hole activity.

It's one of the perks after reaching a certain level on the conservationist career, I'm not sure if it's on level 7 or 8. You'll get informed about it after being promoted and then you can just go to one of the buoys and click on the option call a dolphin friend > albino dolphin.

They seriously need to fix the animation of mermaids while cleaning the ocean because the tail stretching out like this is just 🤮🤮🤮
