I’m an HSP as well. I feel the last months of my life have been quite rough. Not only did I divorced, I came back to my old home, no real friends or family I can count on. I wish to meet more HSPs in my life. I’m planning on moving soon. I need a radical change ❤
I can relate so much to the content of this video. It is ME in every way! I have found ways, as were mentioned, to settle myself: organize, yoga, walks in nature, limit my socializing to when I want to engage with people, soothing music, journaling, eating healthy, speaking to a counselor when needed, etc. Thank you for re-enforcing what manages and soothes us HSPs, as we navigate through a sometimes very complex environment and chaotic life. ❤
I know that I am a HSP. I am 62 and struggling to find the self-care necessary for me. I have always taken care of others. I'm not so good at taking care of me. This is very significant to the HSP, though. Thank you for your videos and encouragement. I can still learn these practices.
I'm a HSP also, and I definitely need lots and lots of alone time to reflect and recharge. I feel bad turning down invites, but sometimes I just can't. I also really need time in nature or on walks, really helps my mind to settle and ground. Yoga too! ❤❤
Thanks for the lovely video. I’m a HSP & from the Empath Tribe too. We’re similarly wired towards a slow living life. I agree that we HSP and Empaths get our happiness differently.
I've been following your content for two years, it's been a while since I wanted to say it, this video hit me, so I think it's a good time. Your videos give me the feeling of talking to an old friend where I can be myself, even if I don't know who I am, a safe place to discover. Thank you. ❤
I can relate to so much of what you are saying, Sophie. I too have to straighten up wherever I am to read, work - everything. Noise bothers me. I easily cry when I see something sad.
I resonate completely with you! I believe I am HSP as well, and I know this because smells are so important to me. I make sure that each space in my house smells good and I make sure my car smells good too! It brings me peace and calm. I think that’s why I don’t mind winter months because after an active summer months, I can take the time to recharge inside and practice Hygge. Thank you for sharing your own HSP qualities!
All true Sophie ❤ When I get overstimulated because of HSP, I dive into mininalism and it really works! It's true we are highly intuitive and I think it''s our superpower - to deeply understand others, their emotions, reactions etc. That's why I chose a career as psychologist. On other hand we are too much involved in everything around us, we then need more time to recover in calm space (like your channel). ❤
I’m a highly sensitive person also. I tear up easily. But I love people and I’m not going to let it keep me inside. It’s something I really have to pray about it ✝️🙏
I began to understand in my mid-twenties that the answers are inward and not external. In my teenage years I started to realize that I am HSP but my situation with it was the same as yours, now I have learned how to accept my true nature and align with it. From now on I just listen to my intuition and follow it. ❤
Hi Sophie, I’m an HSP and empath as well! I’m also moving and finding the environment very difficult. I’ve kept a space in my bedroom free of clutter and go to that space to recenter between packing 💕 Best of luck!
I have been watching your videos for a while now... and I gotta say, I think this is about to completely turn my life around... I have a stressful but great job as an Executive Assistant, and I kept wondering what was wrong with me being SO drained at the end of the day to the point I cannot do anything.. I binge watch shows.. I take a LOT of alone time and it was starting to hurt me because I felt like it's been hurting my relationship taking so much alone time and now after listening to all of this... this blows my mind... It all makes sense... I knew I was a very sensitive person but could never really understand why and it would frustrate me so much.. I had no idea that HSP was a thing... wanting to have all spaces clean with no clutter because then my brain feels cluttered, always needing to have comfort food but to the point it's getting over done, I don't know. I am beyond grateful you posted this and I got to watch it. Thank you so much for your amazing work and videos. They have helped me so much over the last 4 years.
Oh my! You just described me. I’m a HSP. I read the book and it made me realize how I am the way I am. I don’t like crowds, events. I like soft lighting and smooth music. Thank for making this video. Please make more on this topic. I’m a senior and so enjoy your content.
I am a highly sensitive person and this video is a remedy for me! There are really no words to express how thankful i feel... Thank you Sofie for sharing, i feel so seen right now thank you ❤
I, like many others, am attracted to your videos as I'm an HSP. What I need to reconnect and recharge is spending time alone with dim yellow lights and a cup of tea, or taking long walks and connecting with the elements. Thank you ❤️
This video came out just when I needed it. Thank you for helping me to not feel alone. I sometimes have difficulties trying to decide the type of activity, book, film or music I want to focus on at the given moment. Your channel helps me unwind. Have a great day, or night ✨
Malama, following you for more than 3 years, this is the first time I can somehow understand exactly why I feel so connected to what your soul is showing beautifully through your daily moments and thoughts. Yes, the highly sensitive trait is a bless and sometimes a curse. Feeling a lot is sometimes so overwhelmed and even sad. But I still choose to look at it as a bless. I see you and I love you. Wish you a lot of peace of mind during your move. All all all the best to you and your family 🤍 Mai, From Kyoto 🌸
As a highly sensitive person, i walk 10k steps a day so I can give back to my body and release any stress. I also reorganize my place according to feng shui lol way too many times.
being an sensitive person ,i was made to believe the same things the world is not for us ,,but you just made it like a curly hair routine where every hairtype needs different amount of care and concerns ,same ways we require different kind of routines and than just see our strengths overshine, thankyou for giving me a smile today while making me learn more about myself
Love this video! I'm exactly like this. I love a well balanced life. I do not center around people who are too busy in their minds to relax. I feel bad for them because the greatest joy is comfort and peace of your own presence with respect
I’m so exited to stubble on a channel by a fellow HSP! I felt so alone for years and wondered why I was so different and now that I’m in my 40’s I feel like I’m finally discovering accepting who I am. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
I’m an HSP & empath as well, I read multiple books & listen to so many podcast & videos but I think this is the 1st time I feel like someone made a video about how I feel exactly in the most simple, yet highly effective, way. So thanks & thank you for your videos, they always calm me down & recharge my batteries 🩵
Thank you, needed this. It's so easy to feel misunderstood or even shamed for being "too sensitive" for me it's just who I am, it took me a longtime but Im finally ok with that. Have just got back into journaling again😊 💖 💫

Hi Sophie.. I am also an HSP which is exactly why I love your channel. It feels so calming and relaxing. Such soft music, beautiful scenery, calm and soft narration.. it’s what I turn to when I want to feel slow and relaxed from my otherwise hectic life. You have channelized your energy in the right way and continue to help so many of us😄
Amazing video Sophie! I bought that book in 2021 I think. I still have not finished it yet because I am reading Chicken Soup For the Woman's Soul. I only read 3 chapters of HSP and that book was made for me. I abhor loud noises, ultra bright lights. I love a nice, clean, and non bright space. I discovered that I love music that is very soft and just sounds so soothing. I have always felt out of place in a world that is always so loud. Thank you for making this video.
I learnt for the first time that my husband is a highly sensitive person. Thank you so much. I thought I was the only one because I am emotionally attuned, but my husband is so environmentally attuned and emotionally... I really have the best husband. I feel like I can be a better wife to him now.
I'm an HSP too, and about 1 min into this i was about to cry. lol. Just relating to how the simplest thing, happy or sad can effect you. I use to think something was wrong with me, because i like to be alone a lot. I have 4 daughers though, so it's few and far between. But i've learned that I need that time to be my best self for them. Oh, my poor husband. lol.
I am an HSP and need more alone time to recharge. When my home is cluttered I find it draining . I need to spend more time being quiet and doing what suits me. It’s so hard when life demands so much from us.
I never thought I was hsp but after watching your video, I now know why I feel the way I do about many different areas in my life. I feel like a light bulb just went off. Thank you
I recently learned about HSP and a lot of things make sense now. I was more outgoing when I was younger and liked to go out a lot. But as I age, I feel more the characteristics of a sensitive person. I was getting frustrated thinking it was exaggerated, but now I know it is part of my nature, and I want to learn to take care of myself.
Thanks so much for coming into my life all your videos have changed my life for years and I live the best unstressed life ever and I travel and live a mimilist lifestyle and have shared your Malama life videos with all my friends and family blessings to you and family and thanks for all your wisdom and sharing it with all of us you are the best
wow it’s so refreshing to see others that are highly sensitive. I almost thought at times that maybe I had autism or something else going on. I’m also an empath and an ambivert. I enjoy socializing once in a while when I feel it’s needed, but if I overdue do it I feel extremely drained and need me time to recharge. I noticed at times I would use alcohol to be more comfortable socializing but have caught on to that and was so proud to go to a gathering for a few hours without a sip. It’s amazing how much we learn about ourselves as we get older. I also can’t over plan because I get overwhelmed from it. I’m 36 but not until a few years ago I really started to learn myself more. Living a slower life not always easy with 3 kids lol but I make it a priority. Gardening, baking, cooking, reading and being outdoors sooth my soul❤
Thanks for sharing, Sophie! I’m pretty new to all the labels we have these days, but your video definitely resonated with me. I find that I need a lot of time to myself, out in nature or in quiet, comfortable settings as well. I love my long morning and evening walks, watching the sun rise with my dog, drawing or painting, sunbathing, and working out.

Until now i always ignored my needs, i tried to fit in this fast world but at the end of the day i just can't. So from now on i won't ignore and I'm gonna make more time for my good❤
Such a beautiful video. It feels good to see that I am not the only person who feels this way. HSP s need more self care, more self love and alone time than others. Life in a crowded city is not so easy for us.
This is so me! I’ve always described myself as very sensitive and like you, growing up in my community it wasn’t seen as a good thing. I find myself to be talkative to the ones I’m closest to especially in romantic relationships yet valuing my me time. I wish I could’ve heard more on that aspect.
Thanks for sharing this video. It's so relatable ..❤A couple years ago I also discovered via my therapist I am HSP and all the pieces fell into place. Yet it is still hard to find a way in this world that's not compatible on how I want to live my life. There is still much pressure and I am trying to find ways to make my life easier. I see it as a strength now not as a weakness.
Thanks for sharing this video. I’m in my 60s and just now connecting the dots, coming to the conclusion that I’m a HSP and an Empath. When I was younger HSP wasn’t a thing. So many of the things you shared are how I feel, it felt like you were describing me. Thank you.
Wow. Beautiful. One thing I’ve done is I have been away from all forms of social media (except UA-cam) for years. I’m much happier without! It is challenging now having young children, as they are often full of energy and excitement and they just love to be loud. It tests my limits for sure!
Love your videos! This one really resonated with me. Thank you so much for sharing. And for your vlog overall, I am the farthest I coule possibly be from home, but so nice to be able to have a relaxing walk around Hawaii with you over my morning coffee. ❤
A wonderful video and very insightful, as a fellow HSP and empath, many of the observations you shared rang true, but none more so than the need for a clutter=free and clean home environment. The opening and closing routines to the day also hit home. Thank you so much for your wisdom.
Your videos are so good to listen to, such beautiful imagery, I could watch over and over! You’re such a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for these thoughts you share with us 😊

Thank you for sharing your story with us and inviting us to share ours with you and each other. It really makes for a healthier community and a more fulfilled life. God Bless.
Amazing ❤️🤗
This is so beautiful. God bless you richly for sharing such a wonderful testimony ❤
I am and HSP and I think that’s why I love your channel so much. Your voice is calming and aesthetic as well. Thank you for your videos. They are beautiful.
You realize this is an ad? She is trying to sell you something 😢
Thank you so much ❤️
@@annedonker4795 which still requires work to create. 😅
@@21972012145525 malalala/sophie/whateverhernameis is tailoring her content to elevate the ad. Very clever but it is borderline unethical pushing vulnerable people out there who are just here for the video, to buy her sponsor's scammy self help sessions. for a self styled empath she is mostly concerned with herself.
I am HSP as well. That’s why her Chanel is perfect for me ❤
I’m an HSP as well. I feel the last months of my life have been quite rough. Not only did I divorced, I came back to my old home, no real friends or family I can count on. I wish to meet more HSPs in my life. I’m planning on moving soon. I need a radical change ❤
So sorry to hear about the recent events in your life. Hoping you can take time to just rest and relax and that the rest of the year improves for you.
Thank you. ❤
❤️🥰 thank you
I can relate to so much of what you are saying, Sophie.

The perfect career for HSP in my opinion 🥹❤️
I’m a highly sensitive person also. I tear up easily. But I love people and I’m not going to let it keep me inside. It’s something I really have to pray about it ✝️🙏
I began to understand in my mid-twenties that the answers are inward and not external. In my teenage years I started to realize that I am HSP but my situation with it was the same as yours, now I have learned how to accept my true nature and align with it. From now on I just listen to my intuition and follow it. ❤
Your videos are like mini vacations for me . I am grateful for these videos.
Aww thank you for watching them
Hi Sophie, I’m an HSP and empath as well!
I’m also moving and finding the environment very difficult. I’ve kept a space in my bedroom free of clutter and go to that space to recenter between packing 💕
Best of luck!
Same here
Ohh glad you can relate!! It'll all be over soon 😌
Transition is an opportunity to release things we don't need~
❤️ thank you for watching! Yes I'll make more videos on this content
So happy to hear that :) thank you for watching
Malama, following you for more than 3 years, this is the first time I can somehow understand exactly why I feel so connected to what your soul is showing beautifully through your daily moments and thoughts. Yes, the highly sensitive trait is a bless and sometimes a curse. Feeling a lot is sometimes so overwhelmed and even sad. But I still choose to look at it as a bless. I see you and I love you. Wish you a lot of peace of mind during your move. All all all the best to you and your family 🤍
Mai,
From Kyoto 🌸
Aww it feels so nice to be seen and understood. Sending you much love from Maui
I love our voice. It’s so soothing ❤
So happy to hear that!!
Thank you, needed this. It's so easy to feel misunderstood or even shamed for being "too sensitive" for me it's just who I am, it took me a longtime but Im finally ok with that. Have just got back into journaling again😊 💖 💫
the sunflower scene so so beautiful !!
They're so beautiful 😍
As a highly sensitive person myself, I can relate so much to what you said. loved this video💕💕
❤️😍
I’m an HSP too, that’s why you’re literally one of my FAVORITE creators I have followed for years now 😍🥰
Exactly you spelled my words
it honestly makes me wanna cry the burdeen u just took out of my chest….i have always seen myself as a difficult person to deal with. Cheers and MANY MANY thanks to u!!
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Sophie.. I am also an HSP which is exactly why I love your channel. It feels so calming and relaxing. Such soft music, beautiful scenery, calm and soft narration.. it’s what I turn to when I want to feel slow and relaxed from my otherwise hectic life. You have channelized your energy in the right way and continue to help so many of us😄
That's so sweet 🥹❤️ thank you
Amazing video Sophie!
❤️❤️❤️
Curious. What kind of profession allows you to do so?
wow it’s so refreshing to see others that are highly sensitive.
Love your story ❤️😍
Thanks for sharing, Sophie! I’m pretty new to all the labels we have these days, but your video definitely resonated with me. I find that I need a lot of time to myself, out in nature or in quiet, comfortable settings as well. I love my long morning and evening walks, watching the sun rise with my dog, drawing or painting, sunbathing, and working out.
as a minimalist and also an empath, your videos helped me a lot...been watching your vids the past years ....I love you Sophie....much Love from Cebu Philippines...
🥹❤️
Until now i always ignored my needs, i tried to fit in this fast world but at the end of the day i just can't. So from now on i won't ignore and I'm gonna make more time for my good❤
Such a beautiful video. It feels good to see that I am not the only person who feels this way. HSP s need more self care, more self love and alone time than others. Life in a crowded city is not so easy for us.
Everything you share really resonates with me. Being an empath and minimalist I find your videos so soothing and restorative. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching them ❤️
This is so me!
I am a HSP and spiritually gifted. Amazing content!
🥰❤️ thank you so much for watching
Thank you for these thoughts you share with us 😊
I love your home, the way you make everything beautiful, calming in the everyday, reminding us about the magic in life... Thank you so much for your vlogs and being who you are!!!!🌷🌱🫖☕🥧🍵🕯📓🖋
This video came at the right time. I'm an HSP too and in search of a job. Life has been overwhelming since the last few months, and it's been quite hard to keep the energy high and focus on what's required. I am glad to have a great support system that keeps me grounded and reminds me that all of this is just a phase. Thanks for the video, and I relate to what you've mentioned.
So glad you have a good support system! ❤️
I feel like you're speaking to my soul! I had forgotten the importance of leaning into the silence to recharge after months of denying my sensitive side to simply survive. I was starting to doubt whether I'd ever feel like my peaceful self again until I found your channel (I feel at peace for the first time in months).
😍😍😍
Hi. Im a mom from the Phil. I love your videos. I listen to them while takin a shower coz thats the only time I can. thanks for sharing peace.
🤗❤️ I'm so happy to hear that!
I love to clean and cook while mentally thanking God for all the things I have 💕 I also love talking hot baths and watching the y while drinking herbal tea!
Also an hsp, I obsess about my surroundings and what "little" things are happening, I know all! !im happy to have known this and now share this with you! It has changed my life truly!
Hello, Sophie..I'm grateful for your videos. This video gently uplifts my spirit to embrace my HSP self and to stop feeling 'weird' for who I am.. Thank you for your time and energy to share your pieces of life :)
This resonated so much with me! As I get older I have stopped trying to fix myself into becoming like everyone else and just really listening to my body. Somatic exercises have helped to be in my body with love and acceptance. Thank you for such a beautiful video.
I love that ❤️
I have two young children and I homeschool. I am an HSP and my son is going through cancer treatment. I enjoyed this video very much and I will continue to try to find ways to slow down and honor what I need as a highly sensitive person. 💛
Sending best wishes to you and your family.
I really love your channel and I 100% relate with everything you say and your lifestyle.
I love zen philosophy and feng shui and i always thought that less is more. Thank you for sharing.
"I see that as a superpower "... made me so happy! Never saw myself through this way. Lots of love❤
Your voice is so calming. Thank you for this content! ❤
I recently bought that book & a goal is to read it during September. ❤
I like what you were saying about finding an outlet to process your thoughts. It is very important to not neglect our thoughts and to work it all out in our heads. I love how the little things is what we all are drawn to in some way. Thanks for another lovely video.
🤗❤️
I'm also a HSP person and to recharge, I listen to instrumentals/lofi music because it calms me down. also I love taking a shower and reading, journaling, taking a break from socializing for a few days and stay away from social media/news because it stresses me out so much :)
Yesss 😍❤️ sounds like the best way to recharge
@@MalamaLife thank you! ☺
This video is lovely and I feel like I am seen. I too have a record player and recently discovered how much I love classical music. We are empaths and the world needs our soft and sensitive energy!
This was so soothing to watch. 🌸 Love how you’re embracing your sensitivity as a strength and creating a space that’s truly your own.
Yes - I am learning to embody this - in all things consider my Self first. While processing un healed trauma
I'm a HSP and this video was everything I needed today♥ thank you for always shining life on us and letting you healing aura come forward
as a Hsp, i am so glad i found your channel :)
9:11 💜💙💜 i’m a new subscriber here and I just want to say thank you for creating this video but overall thank you for creating content.
Thank you, I totally relate and have creative outlets which I love and they help on lots of levels. I love to spend time away in quiet environments, otherwise I can feel drained or overwhelmed.
I feel you 🤗❤️
Well, I have never considered myself as such, but your description of an HSP fits me rather well. Thank you! I downloaded the recommended book and look forward to learning more. Keep up the good work!
Of all the people I follow on the net, your videos are the only thing I ardently look forward to on a regular basis. Always simple, touching and so on point. In the daily grind, not only do you help in learning how to slow down and breathe again but you always seem to have just the right words. Please never stop blessing our feed.
I can relate so much to this video!! HSP and an empath here ! Pls create more content on how to cope with these traits! Thanks a bunch for this one. ❤
❤️🤗
These videos are wonderful. I feel so seen as an HSP. I'm actually working through the Highly Sensitive Person's Workbook right now with my therapist and she talks about self care a lot. Thank you for all that you do!
I love your lifestyle so much because it resonates with me and the sensations of being out there with the world then escaping back to my secure pod to recharge and reflect on my life. So important. ❤
So happy to hear that :) thank you for watching
Careful with the candles, they've been linked so serious health problems.Dr Mike has a great video on them.
As always, a content rich video.
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Malama! Ive been following your channel for a few years! Im also a fellow hsp, I got that news by a doctor when I was 19. It gave me space not to judge myself and give myself a lot of grace to live a slower life.
One of the things ive honestly really struggled with is keeping a tidy space. I am very prone to overwhelm so I just end up neglecting the mess and it makes a difference in my mood. Thank you for the tips in this video!
I know that I'm sensitive person but 2 days earlier I knew that I'm highly sensitive person.....I'm 22 years old and glad that I'm knew it 🌠i always remind myself that being a sensitive person don't mean I'm weak..it could be my strength.
I love your videos and you have helped me so much. My journey to a quiet, calmer, simple and minimalist lifestyle. It’s been a struggle to listen to my body and my mind by quitting my brain and my environment… thank you
Everthing you said talk to me so much, now I understand why I always feel good when I watch your videos, it calms me. Thank you, really.
