    Very interesting and practical reasoning in terms of enforcing a healthier approach to eating.
    A positive,generative process to improve the quality in one’s life journey.
    By listening a few times I am recognizing words and making better connections.
    It’s so so wonderful of you to teach with such simple words the complex
    science which our bodies are formed.
    I am very appreciative.

    Dear Dr Li, I really think you are one of the best health advisers amongst many. I wish you had a chance to tour medical schools in UK. I have two doctors in my family. They have never been given any of the ideas you are coming up with. 😊

    William completely lost me at the 1 hour 5 minute mark when he said mango and peach and then "they are the most nutritionally dense" and the cherry on top is less salt and saturated fat.

      He's talking about processed vs. unprocessed foods. As for salt, I'm sure he means too much refined table salt.

    I'll make a prediction of what studies of the microbiome will find out. The gut microbiome will be healthy if we are healthy and not the other way around. The microbiome is not a lever we can use to make us healthy, proper nutrition will make us healthy and as a result, our microbiome will be healthy. All the buzz about gut bacteria will fizzle out because it is a lagging indicator. Just a prediction of mine based on all the studies and hypothesis I have read.

      So in your opinion, H. pylori is not a cause of stomach ulcers?

    • @EthanE3
      @EthanE3 Рік тому

      @Corpsefoot the gut microbiome is located in the colon. Most of them are in the cecum H.Pylori inhabits the lining of the stomach. My prediction was based on my research of gut microbiome studies and anecdotal evidence as a lay person

      There are definitely microbes in the stomach ( nowproven by studies like Nardone & Compare), due to that environment being acidic on average
      The stomach is not a sterile organ by any stretch 🤷‍♂️

    • @EthanE3
      @EthanE3 Рік тому +1

      @Corpsefoot the entire body has microbiota. The video Commented on the gut, my comment was about the gut microbiome that ferments food in your colon. It is the most commonly known area when gut microbiome is invoked. When your body is compromised, unhealthy bacteria can proliferate. The most common way to weaken your body is eating improper foods. The second way is environmental toxins. If you eat right and stop bathing in acetone, your body will be healthy enough to keep your microbiome healthy. I was predicting that it will be shown eventually that you cannot do something to change your microbiome first, and then your microbiome heals your illness. The point is, you actively eat proper human foods and protect yourself from toxin exposure, you get healthy, and your body responds by proliferating good bacteria and keep problematic ones in check. The microbiome is invoked to make people think they can take pills to get better. It's being used to scam the scared, unwell people into just buying stuff instead of telling people the truth about how processed food is messing them up

    Sorry, but this doctor really does not understand why we gain body fat. The reason? Because he does not understand, like basically most all other scientists that gaining body fat is not a scientific problem. It's an evolutionary problem.
    We evolved the ability to gain body fat as a survival mechanism to help us survive a famine.
    This is what my ability to think critically has taught me, and that is to question science.
    If you think about it, the reason we are fat in the first place is because of science, and experts like this guy who don't understand this simple fact...before we had obesity and chronic metabolic diseases, we did not have experts tell us what to eat. Same is true for animals in nature. Experts and scientists have CAUSED the obesity and chronic disease problem by giving us bad advice about diet and health, true fact.
    If you really want to understand the real reason why we gain excess body fat, you need to ignore this arrogant doctor and put Dr. Richard Johnson on the show. He explains how fructose causes excessive body fat gain as an evolutionary survival mechanism.

      No one thing is the reason most of the world is getting fat. It’s a multidimensional problem, that will not be solved by that simplistic thinking.

      People are fat because they over eat. Plain and simple. The fat has to come from somewhere . It's food.

      @@helios4425 Yes, but there has to be a reason for that, and it's not just because they are lazy gluttons who don't exercise enough all of the time.
