- Hyundai’s Creta has been a popular name in the compact SUV segment for quite a long time. While it has held the favourite spot among buyers due to its spacious and practical cabin, there have been quite a few rivals that have entered the segment, aiming to hit this sweet spot as well. The Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun are the most lucrative duo and so, we decided to put it against the most popular SUV in the segment to see if they can really give it a run for its money in terms of space and practicality.

Kushaq is best looking by far in my opinion! Premium, sophisticated, class, time less, aggressive.... ❤️

Don't go for VW group products. Very bad engine parts, quick wear and tear of parts, expensive service, and at last u will have very very hard time selling the car after 5 yrs. I am sharing my personal experience

@@SMILECLINIC-2004 ive had jetta and vento, faced no major problems except expensive service but its not a major concern as all my other cars (fortuner, bmw gt, altis, innova) have expensive service aswell
Taigun is good for the base variant , because it is regarded as do or die for Volkswagen in india , they have reduced 30% in service cost as now parts are getting manufacturered in india , so they are now cheap compared to previous, in driving dynamics any day both German cars are far far better than base model of creta , even have some good saftey features in base of taigun with 7 inch display , so taigun is my pick, mg cars are having a issue of low mileage Astor milage is around 10-11 in highway 8-9 in city , breaking is not as good as other cars, but interiors are outstanding
I found Taigun's interiors were flimsy, seats very very hard and the infotainment smaller and clumsy. Kushaq was still much better in terms of comfort and premium feel. I have owned a Polo GT TSI for 8 yrs and Taigun seems hardly a step above esp for the huge amount of 20 lakhs.
Sir can capable for drive in high hills with 5 passengers
@@udaygoud1017 yes I traveled with full load and climbed Masinagudi to Ooty road, one of the steepest roads in India. I have 1.0 TSI Manual, it did a great job wasn't even making a effort.
@@earthling2896 I felt the seats to be hard too, but they help provide a fatigue free experience on long drives. It's a matter of getting used to.

We have a VW Vento petrol ATM (1 lakh kms), VW Polo petrol manual (1.4L kms) both have been totally hassel free.
Lastly a BMW X1 (40k kms) is a sheer pleasure to drive. But the most preferred is the VW Vento👍
Yup vento is love 2.5 Lakh KM done and idling is more than the driving time , still awesome, idling +driving for more than 24 hours was atleast 2 times a week for around 5 years, 2011 model .

All those who say that kushaq’s interior quality has been compromised,its not true. Only if you compare it with previous skoda/vw it can be felt and that is how they have made it a budget crossover. They sure have done some cost cutting, but still it is better than every other brand

What's your take on EPC issue? Having heard a lot of issues & complaints these days.
@@ramboog2654 those were just a handful of cars back then and it was resolved several weeks back. No more EPC issues now
Issues related with the EPC were resolved by replacing all the faulty fuel pump and now all the VW and Skoda cars are being delivered with the replaced fuel pumps.
So there wont be issue related to EPC. Moreover Skoda's after sales support is also good.

I really like the sporty design of kushaq ,even though the interior of kushaq much more sporty ,and obviously its skoda , non of the SUV's of this price range can match the speed and pickup of kushaq ,but yaa creta is known for its spacious interior and good ride for many distances ,so there's a tough decision to choose between creta and kushaq ,but yess due to kushaq's looks I would choose it...

Its almost 1.5 yrs driving creta 2020 diesel and never regreted. Very comfortable.

This is the answer of big question . Great work I was planning for Kushaq but in kushaq their is some issues related to EPC and car is getting breakdown any time .That's why I am thinking for Taigun

Guys - Kushaq is both beauty and beast . Yes it's true interior quality is 7/10 but it's looks nice build quality is gud . 1.5 Tsi with DSG Guys ! Guys ! Guys !.... It's Troc Engine in Kushaq ( Global engine ) .The Engine and gearbox performance of Kushaq is matchless.Also same engine with same gearbox is in Taigun but take my words Guys - Kushaq with same engine and gearbox ( like taigun ) is better tuned then VW Taigun. I buyed 1.5 Tsi Dsg Kushaq white colour a day before Diwali
But youtubers saying taigun is better driver's car and kushaq is more as matured car..why
Both are the same I didn’t feel any difference while driving 1.0 AT…it totally comes to one’s choice who prefers the looks and cabin…rest both cars are safe and way better than Korean cars

Bought taigun before 3 days. Incomparable performance. This is after 700 kms drive in 3 days. Average is approx 13.7 till now.

Fuel pump error happens becoz of poor quality of petrol. Ethanol mixture in petrol is high in India .

60% creta sales are of diesel engine so kushaq, taigun, astor etc. are competing only for 40% of it's market. So they won't beat it untill diesel comes in.
Why would any one buy diesel when the petrol price are almost the same and petrol engines are much better and quiet in comparison.

@@apsgill12 You would rather remove power word cause both diesel and petrol engines are producing same amount of power ! The thing with the petrol engine is it is not able to produce that much amount of G-Force as compared to diesel engine at lower rpms ! Otherwise diesel engine cannot compete with petrol engine in terms of cabin silence and smoothness !

Skoda Kushaq looks amazing especially the grill, but fewer service network and maintenance cost makes it second to Creta.
True about service but safety and perf. Is the key here Maint. Cost is decent
after 2017 service cost has gone down by several notches, as most of the components are locally manufactured. After extensive research I'm gonna get its delivery next month
