Wow, thanks for the feat. :) I am actually still developing the EMD still, just added it as Automatron weapon, four of them, and a WAAAAAY better barrel glow. Also that increased recoil, is actually only applicable when your character is below 8 strength. It should be gone when you have 8+ strength, or in power-armor.
Dawg im haven trouble finding the volley barrel at the high school idk if im missing it or what i could use alittle help and this i a great mod for what ive experience but i cant find the manuals
Seriously. Actual animations of the player character struggling with recoil is incredibly rare in games. The only games that I played that do that are: Resident Evil with the stronger weapons. Namely the magnums. Monster Hunter with high recoil shells. And New Vegas with the Anti-Materiel Rifle.
The Anti-Materiel Gauss Rifle also seems to have a design that somewhat resembles the Fallout 3 (/NV) Gauss Rifle. You have those large coils around the barrel, as well as a side-mounted magazine that has a crank behind it. The main differences are the obvious aesthetic, and the fact that this Gauss Rifle is left handed, instead of the right handed model (which really fits Fallout 4 in the grand scheme of things).
That gauss gun makes me wish somebody made one inspired by the Volt Driver from Metro games. With those two big metal rails, firing bearing balls and having to be manually charged with a handle, and showing the charge on a needle display in the back
The6thmessenger made an overhaul mod where both the gauss rifle and railway rifle could fire ball bearings as a NV style ammo type. Given that the gauss gun is by the same author, it is a solid bet they made a compatibility patch for it. If not they did make a guide for how to make compatibility patches for their overhaul. Hope this helps.
I think for giggles there needs to be a "one too many cranks" option where it either Ragdolls you or it flies out of your hands, and the number of cranks you can withstand before either of those happening is dependent on your strength stat. It would be interesting to have a gun whose effectiveness can be changed based on how strong your character is.
@@wruenvadam You mean like the one I already did with my AMGR? No really, hip-fire spread increases and vats-acc decreases depending on your strength if it's under 8.

Well done on your honesty regarding some mods state of polish. It seems to be a rare quality in mod showcases these days. One thins that I'd really would appreciate in future regarding weapon mods: conformation on whether or not custom sounds are used for NPCs - close up and at distance. No npc weapon sound implementation is a real pet peeve of mine and would very much appreciate knowing whether or not a weapon mod does or does not have them before downloading it. Thanks again
On the topic of munitions. Apparently people are not familiar with a fun little mod called: Legendary Crafting Framework. LCF is a mod that is about altering, modifying, or creating your own legendary effects for your weapons and armor, and as a bonus feature you get the option to personally modify specific attributes to said weapons & armor, including a weapon's projectile effect. With this mod, if I wanted to I could have any shotgun (be it vanilla or modded) fire a bolt of lighting, 5mm rounds, alien gun blasts, gamma wave pulses, or a spread of Gauss projectiles. And this is just one mod that does it as a bonus, there other mods that directly change the weapon projectile, Another mod called Wacky Weapons, I could make a Hunting Rifle function just like an old Bolt-Action Shotgun from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. firing actual in-game shotgun shells or Shotgun slugs. So this whole Munitions controversy (if there's even any) doesn't make any sense to me, it's like people don't know about custom ammo mods before munitions existed.
@Falcon_by_the_lake Well LCF isn't perfect, I had a dispute with the mod author a few years ago about a poor decision he made changing the mod. A long time ago his mod depended on FadingSignal's Mobile Mechanic mod, sort of a small copy of it, and that version of LCF had the option of scrapping junk, eventfully he dumped that function in favor of actually creating junk for specific requirements in crafting, still it was a very big inconvenience since I had to DL a separate Junk Scrapper mod because of it. And when I actually wanted to build a junk item like a sensor module, I couldn't, there wasn't an option to make it, so it was very frustrating. Still a good mod, especially since it introduces FO76's Legendary effects.
I'm one of the people that was anti-Munitions, but I caved in on that to get that "Institute Tech Overhaul" you showed off a bit ago, and... now I can't even remember why I was so opposed. Apart from still needing a few tweaks to my own personal load order, I've had no issues since installing it.
The special thing about the KS-23 shotgun is it's basically oversized. Aircraft autocannon barrels that didn't pass a quality test, were repurposed for these shotguns. It is 4-gauge instead of the usual 12 gauge, meaning a 1/4 pound lead ball would fit. Essentially 3 times more powerful than a 12-gauge. This is why it's pretty rough to operate, and literally kicks more than when you fire both barrels with a double barrel 12 gauge.
