@@johnathantaylor5913 her natural personality is eerily similar to Diana's, it is as if they were cut from the same cloth. She's just a bit more reserved, less scalpel-like.
In the first episode, I paused in amazement at how well she captured Diana's voice. Lost count how many times I paused with the same astonishment over the season. Emma Corrin was good in S4 but this was almost surreal. As someone who can remember all this stuff when it happened this was a literal time machine. I was never really impressed by Naomi Watts, Kristen Stewart etc, but Debicki was spellbinding and I think this will be remembered as the most accurate portrayal of Diana on screen.
Exactly her voice was spot on. I had to pause the show an come to UA-cam. Wanted to check if anyone else was as impressed! Just wow!

It is an impeccable casting. I am sure there will be a lot of Emmy nominations for The Crown again and Elizabeth Debicki most certainly will win one for her role as Princess Diana based in what I have seen so far. She is brilliant!

All she does it’s deep glazing and it’s annoying . Diana wasn’t deep glazing the whole time, makes her look retarted which she certainly was not
I think this version of Diana with Elizabeth Debicki is perfect. It shows Diana as more mature, more confident, more knowledgeable of the world and yet we still see her sadness and sorrow. Emma Corrin perfectly captured the innocence and naivety of Diana when she was just a girl, coming out into the spotlight. I think they both did a great job.
Emma corrin was rather forced and creepy in some scenes.

Elizabeth really embodied Diana- the eyes, the voice, her height, the mannerisms. She looked most like her. It was so surreal seeing her on screen in Diana’s old outfits. It was like seeing Diana come back to life.

Diana has the most regal aura among all the modern royals.
Even though she was born into royalty/title herself, she appears to have developed this regality after marrying Charles and growing into the People’s Princess.
I always had this theory that she was picked for the role because of Tenet, but apparently they already had her in mind all the way back when they were filming S2 of The Crown. The parallels between her character on Tenet on the yacht with the photos of Diana on Dodi's yacht were strikingly similar.
Man , now I just remember her from tenet. I totally forgot . Yes , she is like angel, no beacuse her looks. But her mannerisms etc.

The younger Diana from this series still gives me goosebumps when I watch her entry scene in the trailer. And rightfully so, they found the perfect match for her final years.. Dear Diana, you indeed live forever! She represents my entire childhood. Her fashion, her style, her photos, the 90's and heartbreakingly her death . I still remember that BBC interview but I couldn't understand anything as I was just a kid. All I remember is her peculiar way of holding her gaze, those eyes... Forever fan of Diana

8 years ago Elizabeth Debicki was standing in my back yard learning how to handle our horses for an upcoming role she had. It’s surreal to see her now so accomplished and talented.

I am almost done with season 5 and Debicki hits it out of the park. People put down how Diana's portrayed, but regardless of how she is written, and I think she is written with great depth, Elizabeth Debicki just fills in the blanks and gives a dimensional performance that deserves honors.
Even when her character isn't speaking, Debicki is delivering. We understand her reasons, and creative license aside, she just comes off more human than what she is dealing with.
Phenomenal! From all the interviews and documentaries of Diana I've seen over the years, Debicki has truly captured the essence of Diana. Much more than any other actresses.
I tried to listen to one of the episodes of season 5 rather than watching it and was astounded by Debicki's voice-acting of Diana. Love you absolutely, Elizabeth. 💕

Watching this clip bought back many memories sad and happy, my partner and I met her twice once in public the other in a Department store .both times that lady was warm and generous to us ,Diana was special and we both miss her ,the crown really did the job for me the actors and actresses did a fine job .

Elizabeth Debicki is a fine actor. I remember her from The Cloverfield Paradox. It may have been panned by others but there was real talent on that show. Liz stood out. I loved it and took note of her. She is a million miles in any which way.
I've never been "into" the Royal Family but do really enjoy the Crown (haven't started the new season yet though - I'm excited). You sometimes think acting looks easy (I did theatre for a few years, and it's hard - it takes effort to make it seem like you're not acting, God knows if I ever got it right or not), but watching this preview, I can tell already this is a very committed, talented, hard-working actress who is really passionate about her craft. Good on her, I can't wait to see what she's done with this role.
