@@vinillaguerrilla4300 Yeah I reached the point where, when the government starts to torture me into telling them how many guns I have. . . I'm in real trouble because, damned if I can remember 🤫
Nerding out= caring about...that is why we are here. Always good to really know what the differences and even subtle differences are. It's those little things that usually make people love or hate a gun. Keep up the thorough reviews and comparisons!
I just bought the X-Carry and I have shot a little over 100 rounds through it. The trigger is great, the grip is great and I can conceal it just fine. I need a better holster, but the one I have will work for now.
One advantage of the X Series that gets scant attention is the ease of racking the slide. My wife loves her M&P 9c and shoots it extremely well, but she can't for the life of her rack the slide. We rented the XCompact yesterday. She shot it even better than the 9c and she could rack the slide. I expect her to buy herself a late Christmas present later this week.
X Carry! Just picked mine up this afternoon. Almost effortless ease to put shots on target accurately. Smooth operation throughout. Well balanced weapon with great ergonomics gone into it.
Wow, I wasn't expecting the difference between grip circumferences. I've really enjoyed my buddy's XFive so I want an X Compact, but I have small hands and was worried about the grip size. Good to know the XC scales down the grip size in all ways, not just length.
Just purchased the X-Compact. The first 5 rounds out of the box were dead center. Felt great in my hands. The trigger is fantastic and has a short, crisp reset. The trigger weighed in at just under 4 pounds. My M18 weighs just over 6 pounds. My X-Compact has the upgrade which all newer models have from the factory. It is now replacing what was my most favorite carry gun, the H&K VP9SK. Don't get me wrong because I still love the H&K. I like to have more than one option. Also, if you hold the gun correctly your thumb will not be touching the slide stop release button. BTW, great video, thanks.
These are built to be modular. You can buy either a full size or compact grip for either. As you demonstrated the slide fits on either. The only thing you really need to do is figure out which slide you want and you can then have BOTH guns by swapping the trigger group from 1 to the other.
@@KSGunGuy01 sorry. My point was they are modular. If you buy 1 of them they offer different grip frames to go with that slide. You can get a full size grip or the carry grip with a compact slide.
I've shot both and they are very comfortable to grip. My preference is the compact. It fit like a glove in my hands. I recommend testing them before you make the purchase. Great pistols.
I have a fear of pinching my pinky and gloves getting caught in between the magazine and the mag well on handguns with smaller grips. Is this a valid fear, since I am looking to invest in one sooner or later?
I have 9- p320/p365's. I like the P320 XCompact the best it feels a little better balanced, probably because the carry slide is 4/10's of a inch longer and a little front heavy. Not a massive difference but enough that I can tell. It isn't a game changer at all, just picking on some things, if I didn't have the X Compact the Carry would be just fine. You make a lot of good videos, keep them coming! Another video you might make is the new Walther PDP vs Walther PDP F Series.
I kinda like that settup you showed was possible. The x-carry with the x-compact grip module. You get the longer barrel with the cutout with the smaller grip module for easier conceal. That being said my next firearm purchase I am planning on getting an x-carry.
Wow didn't realize the carry slide would work on the compact frame! That is cool to know. I'm a Fairly skinny guy so to get a good conceal carry pistol I usually have to sacrifice slide/barrel length to get a smaller grip length, but with that interchangeable slide I might be set!
Thanks again for this informative comparison video. I was just reviewing these two at my local Gunsmiths last week. After deliberation if a few weeks I have finally parted with my beloved P365 and exchanged for the X Carry. Our national laws in Israel don't allow us as civilians to own more than one firearm. Sucks but what can one do. Time to hurry up and wait for my renewed permit to come through then I can collect my new firearm.
As much as I love the 365, I think you made a good choice. The 320 fills more of a "do it all" role than the 365. Plus, if you wanted to, you could spend 40-60 dollars and buy the "compact" size grip for the 320 and then with a simple switch, you'll have an even more compact carry gun. You'll just have to buy a 15 round magazine.
Had the opportunity to handle the The X-Compact at my local shop on 2 separate occasions (different ones for those wondering), and the trigger issues you mentioned on your initial vid were present on both: longer than expected creep on the break, and a much longer reset than expected. Having owned an X-Carry, I expected the same break and reset. However, I feel like the trigger is the same as a standard 320 with a flat-faced shoe. It almost feels luke I need to buy a X-Carry and wait for the X-Compact grip modules to be available, or wait another 3-6 months for Sig to address the trigger. Other than that, the grip module fit perfectly in my hands and I was impressed with it. But I'd be lying if I said the trigger had me second guessing a purchase, and going back to an X-carry. TLDR: Trigger is questionable imo. I suggest an X-Carry and wait for an X-Compact grip module to swap out.
I find that the "post recall" P320 triggers are either great or not good. It seems that they vary widely from one example to the next. They do get better with dry and live fire, thankfully. Thank you and cheers Brian!
I definitely needed this video. Specifically the little notch for your thumbs. That’s the main reason I shied away from a Glock 19. Just being able to gain a confident grip on the pistol makes a world of a difference.
The X-Carry felt good in my hands at the gun store. I bet the X-Compact is gonna feel amazing! This is the only 320 that I am excited about add to my collection. Great review
I just picked up a p320 compact at the pawn shop for $320. Im in love with this pistol. Went to bass pro and held the x carry grip and I like it alot better than the original. About to order a xcompact grip.
Swap out the X Carry grip module for winter when you can cover it with a coat, and the X Compact when it's t shirt weather and printing becomes more of a concern. And yeah, nice nerd out I watched the lot 👍
I have only m&p pistols.. but I am danger close to buying a SIG.. I like the compact to answer your question.. I like the whole grip module thing they have going on and that they are already cut for the dots ..
@@imthefrog9725 I hear you there but now I carry a m&p 2.0 45 appendix..in all reality I won't be able to buy a nother pistol any time soon but I really like the Sig's for some reason
While I haven’t held/Shot the compact, I’ve found that grip difference found on the regular X Carry has helped me not ride the slide stop. Not sure if everyone likes that but to me it’s a benefit. Granted I wear XL gloves and even those are usually not long enough in the fingers) so that gap isn’t quite as exaggerated as it appeared to be for you. Well. Thought I would leave this as food for though. Great comparison as usual brother. Looking forward to Summer and hopefully switching up my daughter’s barrel racing lessons so I can join back in on the Wednesday chats.
I'm pretty much Ruger, but in my younger years, so very many years ago, I was pretty much Remington, but I also liked Mossberg; what can I say, I took after my dad who only trusted American. I don't recall where I found you, I think I saw KS and decided that I, as a fellow Kansan, even though I'm hurtling towards #70, might learn something from you. I think the reason I like Ruger was that, after I was disabled in 2003, and quit daily carrying my trusty old H&R Model 929 nine shot 22LR revolver with a 6 inch barrel, and then was assaulted in 2009 by a couple of punks, I had gone to Cabela's in Wichita to buy a couple of carry pistols. I liked the look, size, and feel of the LC9, so I bought two ... and one LCP. Later, I decided that I wanted something a little different. The only complaint I had about the LCP and LC9's was that the trigger pull was kind of long, so I bought two Ruger SR9Cs ... and an SR9. Now you need to understand that that I was raised on a farm and after graduating Kansas State, along with my wife, we settled in Great Bend, where she taught Jr. High math and I worked in radio. We never liked living in the "city," so when her granddad had to be placed in a nursing home, her dad, who also lived on his granddad's homestead on the Santa Fe Trail, was stewing over what he should do with his dad's house. The house was approaching 100 years old and was last remodeled in 1916. The roof was due to be replaced, the plumbing was mostly iron pipe, there were two floor furnaces and a wall heater on the main floor and nothing upstairs, there were seven (7) fused electrical circuits ... and one unfused circuit with NO shut-off, and had so many layers of peeling wallpaper. My wife and I never liked living in town, so we talked it over and decided to ask her dad if we could buy her granddad's house. He was shocked and, at the same time, relieved that we wanted to live there, but my wife wanted to make sure I was okay with living only about 100 feet from her parents. After three years of hard work the house was remodeled enough for us to move in on the main floor while we finished the upstairs. We moved in in 1976 and that fall I rented some farm ground and started farming. Two years later her uncle died and his widow wanted us to buy their farm. So you can see that money was pretty tight, but we were living on a farm and were farmers. We had an overabundance of rabbits at the time because the coyote hunters had done a bang-up job of thinning the coyotes ... a little too thin to me. I had received a Remington Nylon 12 bolt action rifle for Christmas in 1963, and that was my only weapon, but I couldn't see carrying it with me on my tractor, so I decided I would buy a rifle with a wood stock, but I ended up with a H&R Model 929 nine shot 22LR revolver with a 6 inch barrel and a great Hunter holster for 79 bucks. I wore my revolver on my hip all of the time, especially when I was working ground on my old John Deere 3010 tractor, without a cab, and I would shoot rabbits on the run with my trusty pistol, then my three legged Beagle would pick them up and carry them home to bury until they were ripe. Rascal could catch them for himself, but he never turned down one that I shot. I got good at shooting, especially because when I was frustrated, upset, or angry, which seemed to be often, I would head out to the big trash pile on our farm and I would shoot bottles and cans until I felt better. I got real good point shooting. I was shooting rabbits on the run while still running the tractor down the field, and I could usually hit them on the first shot. I loved watching them crumple up and roll when they were hit. I quit wearing my pistol all the time after I was disabled and I doubt that the punks would have bothered me in 2009 if I had had my pistol on my hip. Lesson learned and that was when I bought my first two handguns for personal defense. I carried concealed after that, but I didn't get a Concealed Carry Permit until after Kansas passed Constitutional Carry. I only got it then because I ride down past OKC with a son-in-law fairly frequently and I wanted to make sure I was legal in Oklahoma. So now you know too damn much about me, but at least you will know where I'm coming from. Also, since I was assaulted I haven't been able to stop buying guns. It's not a voluntary thing. I can go for several months and suddenly I'll see a gun and I see a need. My wife says that I hoard guns like she hoards fabric ... and she has a LOT of fabric, but I think I might have more guns. I've lost count. My youngest granddaughter came in today, jumped on my lap while I was in my recliner, and told me that I have too many guns and she was going to take them. I told her that she couldn't because when I kick the bucket her daddy would get a fourth of them ... each kid gets a fourth. Some of my guns are very special to me and I hope I can get them all together sometime so I can tell them about them, like the Remington Model 11 shotgun, manufactured in September 1926, that my Okie Grandpa Adams sold to me in 1980 because he had heart trouble and needed the money, but he always wanted me to have it because he knew that I loved hunting pheasant. He didn't know that Kansas finally had deer and a deer season and he sold his deer rifle to a friend. Anyway, his dad gave him that shotgun brand new in 1926 and it was one of the few things saved when his house burned to the ground in the early 1950's. I think, from the looks of it, that he kept it in his pickup, but I know that he used the heck out of it because the blue is completely gone from the barrel and there are only a few spots on the stock that still have a hint of finish. He was a tall man, but he had cut an inch off of the stock that I had to add back on. I miss that old man. Anyway, I've rattled on long enough. Take care of yourself, especially your back and knees. Let me know if you want to come out for opening weekend of pheasant season. My youngest brother comes in from Virginia with some friends and some of my kids come home then, too. I don't get out to walk the fields, though I dearly wish I could, but I do sometimes block the end of the shelterbelts and tree rows. Till then, keep your barrel clean.
The X series 320's should have a fence/guard around the slide lock. Original 320's do, it's when the started shaving away material it was removed.. unsure why that was overlooked
Howdy...I've enjoyed your meticulous videos and explanations about Sig products in general. 1 year anniversary for my P320 X Carry...luv it ! Next buy for me will be the P320 X Compact...hands down. Appreciate your work and value you bring to your viewers!
another great video ... would love to see you update your intro, something a bit more modern, digital, and with a lot less gunfire noise ! I like the Compact-X as it is a bit smaller ... but the Carry-X has cool slide cutout. One thing you did not point out, the Compact has loaded chamber indicator on top of slide.
Even I as a Glock guy, admits that the p320 x compact is badass. So much so, I purchased one to keep in rotation. Solid firearm 👌🏾just recently found your channel by the way, you got a new sub, love the channel.
Im a glock guy too and I squeezed the trigger on an Xcarry at the LGS yesterday and I am thinking about picking it up. It was very natural pointing and the trigger is great.
Yeah the two tone does look slick. I ended up picking up a black nitron finish X-Carry today from a local shop. Paid full retail price unfortunately but definitely don't regret it. I might pair it with a Olight PL-MINI Valkyrie and Romeo optic down the road. The P320's are beautiful looking arms, well many products from Sig Sauer are in general lol. I actually thought the Coyote X-Carry slide looked nice with the X-Compacts grip.
I like sig because they do a lot of innovating compared to other manufacturers. Granted, they've had their problems but that's a part of moving forward
Jimmy Gardner I was wondering if the trigger lightened up, creep, reset etc. did the trigger get better, still the same? I got to me but haven’t put that many rds through it
Well K.S., I guess last nights chat pushed me over the edge. I bought the P320 x compact today. I am "behind enemy lines" in Maryland, so it will be a week before I get it. Cheers!
I enjoyed your video ! I found your video because I’m building a P320 n I trying to learn as much as I can , I ordered a Compact medium frame ;still have to figure out slide n barrel lengths ; especially after you put the carry slide on the Compact ; I’m thinking to get all parts I have ordered come in , n decided if I want to build a Carry P320 !!!!!! Thanks a great deal for doing this video in the exact way you did it !!! 😷💥💥🔫 Patrick
I like this style vid great job. I am fortunate to own both of these and really like them. I just hope the finish on my Coyote X Carry holds up its fine now so we will see.
Thank you very much Youngguns! It was nice to make a more casual vid and I’ll keep doing them as it makes sense. The Coyote does seem to wear a bit but I agree about it hopefully keeping up. Cheers brother!
P320X Compact for me . It just makes more sense for me and theres just something about its aesthetics that I like more. The more concealable the better.
I bought the xcompact and have just been loving it. The carry frame was too big for my hands or at least my preference. But I would love to get that exact Xcarry slide as secondary slide set.
Thank you best comparison I was set on 320 compact & you help me be even more sure. I kind like lighter more compact guns like VP9SK 320 compact is what I like 👍🏻
I love my XCompact. I cut the X5 grip module to fit my XCompact slide. Then I took it to shoot a USPSA match. Ran great. You can see the video on my site. Great video. Great close up look at the two guns. Keep up the good work.
Right on Tim! I actually already watched your video. I think I commented on it but can’t remember. It was very good and the gun looks awesome. Thank you and cheers!
I went to my local gun shop to pick up a long wanted Beretta compact in Inox, and they had the xcompact with the stainless slide and black frame on sale for $569... It was sweet. Felt good in the hand and actually beautiful for a polymer gun. I was tempted to leave the beretta since they were the same price.
When did they start making the X Compact in a stainless slide and at that price? Are you sure it was the brand new X Compact that I believe is only in black? If it really was the X Compact, I'd get it because that shop mis-priced it big time, lol. Thank you and cheers!
KSGunGuy yes I’m sure. I was surprised when I got home and looked the prices up and most are over 600 for all black. Do you have an email address that’s public?
I don’t know if you noticed but the grip angle is also different. The x compact is closer to that 90 and is why u get that tighter grip. Love the video
@Philip Freeman I do agree with Sam on this one. I only ever hear this with plastic guns, but it's an extremely common issue with those who use an aggressive high thumbs forward grip on Glock-style pistols like 320's, M&P's, p10's, etc. It's why I sold my Walther PPQ and probably the main reason that gun hasn't gotten much traction. Switched to a Glock and stopped getting the problem. M&P's don't do it to me either, but VP9's and Walthers do. It's also not a sign of incompetence, it's a sign of using a high thumbs forward grip like a competition shooter does. In fact that's where I learned all this stuff and those people tend to be the ones who complain about it the most. And I do believe that USPSA GM's are among the best pistol shooters in the world. I don't know how you could spend any amount of time in the pistol shooting world and not have heard someone mention this issue before.
@@kyleaversa1106 Your thumbs are high for recoil control. It happens to some people and not others based on hand size and grip style. That being said, I've never had it happen on a P320 and rarely on an M&P. Glocks with extended slide stops do it to me, and Walthers are the worst offenders. Others have a different experience based on their hand size.
I've had both, well just got the compact 2 weeks ago. Got from one of my distributors and like it so much, I decided to put it in my name. It's just the right size for me. Nice ergo', shootable, little pistol.
This video was super helpful to me, thank you. I had not held either, but based on this video I was leaning towards the XCompact. My Glock 17 is a bit large for my hands, so want to swap it. Called a gun shop yesterday and they told me they had the XCompact in stock, so I drove 40 minutes to check it out. When I held it, it didn't feel as small as I was expecting and I was disappointed. After 10 minutes of playing with it I noticed that the mag inside had a 17 capacity marking. I told the shop employee that didn't make sense to me because the XCompact mag has 15. He said 'huh' and scratched his head. I got on Sig's website on my phone and showed him the specs. Turns out he was showing me an XCarry and didn't know it. They didn't have the XCompact in stock after all. Luckily there was another gun shop 10 minutes away who said they had it when I called from this shop. I drove to the new shop which was much nicer and their inventory was on the walls and clearly marked. I then held the XCompact and it was perfect for my hand. Those 3 and 3.5 mm grip length differences feel quite different in the hand. I have decided I will buy the XCompact as soon as I sell my G17, which I'm listing for sale today. Thanks again for your video as it was exactly the info I needed. Beware of shop employees that lack knowledge and educate yourself before purchasing anything. FYI folks, I have the p365 and just ordered a SAS slide directly from Sig which arrives in 2 days. It's different from the slide that comes the p365 SAS gun in that it is not vented, so it'll go with the non-vented barrel in the standard p365. I don't like the vents on the SAS gun or the screwdriver operated take down slide, so a great alternative for me.
The X-series grip frames are better than the original grip frames, to me. The X-Carry is similar to the G19X aesthetic... the X-Compact is more like if Glock did a G26X(26 slide on a 19 frame). I prefer the X-Carry.
Sounds like we don’t have to choose, can just buy the compact and buy a carry grip module. That is very cool. Maybe conceal the xcompact, and your spare mag can be the carry mag.
The round count it’s important thanks for telling us the difference I have the p320 the old module and I wanted the x module but I din’t know which grip would be compatible with my stock 17 round mags! Till I saw your video! So thanks I know I need the xcarry module
Long time Glock guy.....I picked up the x-carry pro recently and for my hands.....the grip felt like home. Better for ME than my G19 or the G45 I handled before deciding on the x-carry pro
That slide lock is a problem when shooting. Slide will lock open with rounds still on the mag if you have a tight high grip which I have. I will stick with the Xcarry until Sig tightens up the slide lock to the frame. I know several people that have encountered this problem as well.
After a lot of thought I chose Sig Sauer to be my prime choice for pistols my first Sig was a p365 born in Feb 2019 "can't remember date of the top of my head" and of course it's not the best size to start pistols but Everytime I go to the range I get better grouping, tighter grip and ended up being ambidextrous when it comes to firing pistols both hands feel comfortable in different aspects. But now I've come to wanting a full size gun of course so I've been look at p320s in general but notice the amount of variations, slide lengths and size frame not sure where to start.
It’s crazy that this video was made exactly a year ago the day I decide to attempt and finalize my first Sig, I think I’m going to go XFive Legion. Nice vid bro, definitely helped me finalized my decision.
2 years later.. how did that go with making your first Sig the XFive? I'm in the same situation as you right now. Torn between the Xcarry, compact, and normal P320/Legion
Im so in love with the way the x-compact looks. I just cant get over the cost, quality control issues that sig has, and the red dot mount they went with.
Another great video. Love the granular approach on this one. As an instructor, I try to keep a good variety for my students (that's how I justify my collection to my wife..lol). After this, I'm seriously thinking about trading one of my x-carry for an x-compact. I really appreciate all the great work you put into the content. Thank you!
Thank you Jim! Excellent justification on the collection... I tip my hat to you there. I do recommend trying out the Compact. It’s fantastic. Cheers as always brother!
I really like your straight forward comparisons. I would like to see you compare the P320 X Compact and the P365 XL. For many, this is the tough decision to make for concealed carry. Is the 320 just a little too big, or is the 365 just a little too small?
@UCWe2cngX-JWpI2gGa4_iNJw just picked up the 365xl and love it. I got small hands. Lol my cousin has a g17 but he’s always pulling left on target. Way left. I shoot it accurately but he doesn’t seem to be able to consistently. He has a skin condition so his grip is a bit awkward. Handed the 365xl and he was money every time. Better than me. It’s crazy how much a grip make that much a difference. Great stuff. Sig just sold a Glock guy with the 365xl. I’m anxious to try the 320xc but I really want it with 4 inch barrel.
@@bryanrainey4756 it might also be the Glock grip angle. My girlfriend had the same issue with a Glock 19 but it wasn't way left (slightly upper left). Got her to try a Beretta APX, M&P 2.0, CZ P07, Hellcat, and P365 and she's been so accurate with those. Didn't have as much luck with a P320 because she isn't used to the recoil impulse from pistols with a higher bore axis, but for most part getting away from the Glock grip angle helped her.
My first gun was the 320xcompact, but then I added the wilson combat grip and a TLR-8AG, and it shoots like butter, but it became a bit too big, so I got the p365X, and that one is the perfect carry size for me, the 365 in holster vs the 320 in light bearing holster is a huge difference
I prefer to carry my 365XL, but I prefer to shoot my 320 XCarry Legion... Got the Wilson Combat 365XL Grip Mod coming (couldn't spend the money for a Icarus Percision). Maybe this will get me close to what I like. Haven't had the chance to hold the 365 X Macro with the new grip which looks far fatter than the stock XL also.
Thanks for the comparrisons of these 2 excellent sidearms. From a Carry Conceal point of view I would want the one that has the smaller overall footprint. I believe that was the compact.
I have an X-Carry, and so long as you pick a holster that fits that, you can swap the grip module for the compact and it will fit both of them, permitting you the best of both worlds for either duty or concealment. HOWEVER, not all X-Carrys (carries?) are created equally. If you want the same mounting options as the X-Compact, your product number must end with R2, denoting the X-Carry version that shares the M17 optic footprint. The version without the R2 at the end will only mount the objectively inferior Romeo 1 (not Pro) optic. I learned this the hard way as Sig expunged the non-R1 model from their website and only made mention of the R2 at the time of purchase. At least aftermarket slides exist and factory slides go for decent prices.
I really think that the best combination would be the X-Carry slide with the X-Compact grip module. It would make it very P229-esque. The best of both worlds.
Own a P365 and P226. Picked up and handled the X Carry and liked it so much I bought it on the spot. Did'nt give myself a chance to look at the Compact. I feel comfortable in my decision. I figure I can always invest in a compact module. Nice comparison!
monzx3 I have the P365 with laser and Streamlight inside IWB Holster. It’s a great pistol and holds 10 rounds + 1 and I carry a 12 round magazine in my holster. I would buy the P365 XL if I were going to buy replace my P365. Mine is very compact and comfortable, I hardly know it’s on me.
@@vtxdaryl Thanks! I do have the 1st Gen P365. I also stopped by the store few weeks ago and looked at the 320. Of course, after owning the 365 for a while everything else looks and feels so huge in my hand! LOL
I would like your opinion on the difference in trigger pull weight/comfort. Everything I read in gun forums says the x-carry is superior to the compact. That it's slightly lighter in pull and very clean vs the compact.
Own both. X carry is better but the x compact grip module is way better. Put carry on compact grip module and you got a very capable and comfortable gun.
I like that X-carry slide/barrel combo on the X-compact grip module. That’s a winner of u ask me...
🔥😮💨 immediately I started to look for X carry slide after the video👍🏾 good stuff definitely a winner for the combo🔥🔥

I just bought the X-Carry and I have shot a little over 100 rounds through it. The trigger is great, the grip is great and I can conceal it just fine. I need a better holster, but the one I have will work for now.
Thumbs up for the "nerd out" portion. I enjoy it
Compact for sure just due to ease of concealment.
Thanks Steven! It would definitely be conceal worthy. Cheers brother!

I have a 9C also and it’s stiff to rack but it is a great shooting weapon also , you can rack my 320c slide easily it’s very smooth
Weak wife.
X Carry!
Just picked mine up this afternoon.
Almost effortless ease to put shots on target accurately.
Smooth operation throughout.
Well balanced weapon with great ergonomics gone into it.
Do you feel like you can get higher on the gun?
Got all three. Carry, compact and sub compact. Love all three
Nice I have a P365 and the p320compact. I'm thinking about trading my Glocks in and get sig
I miss my XCompact… had to sell it to pay for a transfer case. I think I’m gonna get an XCarry next. Thanks for the video.
It is now replacing what was my most favorite carry gun, the H&K VP9SK. Don't get me wrong because I still love the H&K. I like to have more than one option. Also, if you hold the gun correctly your thumb will not be touching the slide stop release button. BTW, great video, thanks.
My primary EDCs are a Walther PPQ and a P320X Compact. Both have their strong points.
These are built to be modular. You can buy either a full size or compact grip for either. As you demonstrated the slide fits on either. The only thing you really need to do is figure out which slide you want and you can then have BOTH guns by swapping the trigger group from 1 to the other.
The slide site too short on the carry module unfortunately. The Carry slide does work on the compact though. Thank you and cheers!
@@KSGunGuy01 sorry. My point was they are modular. If you buy 1 of them they offer different grip frames to go with that slide. You can get a full size grip or the carry grip with a compact slide.
OK, now I understand. Well said!
Thank you Donald! It’s an interesting setup for sure. Cheers!
I couldn’t find a better video than this one for comparison. 👍🏽
Good stuff man . I've always found sig kinda bulky but they have done something pretty cool with the modular design
Thank you! I do agree about the modularity Cheers!
I actually really appreciate you pointing out all the minutiae, sometimes it matters!
The xcompact grip won’t fit flush with the xcarry slide
I definitely needed this video. Specifically the little notch for your thumbs. That’s the main reason I shied away from a Glock 19. Just being able to gain a confident grip on the pistol makes a world of a difference.
Love my xcarry. Never ever had malfunctions and so easy to clean and maintain
Thanks for the informative video. Decided on the X Compact thanks in part to your fair descriptions.
The X-Carry felt good in my hands at the gun store. I bet the X-Compact is gonna feel amazing! This is the only 320 that I am excited about add to my collection. Great review
I definitely recommend checking out the X Compact. It seems to be just the right size. Thank you and cheers!
I really enjoy nerding out on these pistols. Thanks for the details.
I just picked up a p320 compact at the pawn shop for $320. Im in love with this pistol. Went to bass pro and held the x carry grip and I like it alot better than the original. About to order a xcompact grip.
Thanks for all the information! I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the compact. I enjoy my p 320 and 365. Fun to shoot .
My pleasure! I think you’ll really enjoy it. Thank you and cheers William!
Swap out the X Carry grip module for winter when you can cover it with a coat, and the X Compact when it's t shirt weather and printing becomes more of a concern.
And yeah, nice nerd out I watched the lot 👍
I love them both they both look amazing price might be the deciding factor so getting the prices on these would be great
I have only m&p pistols.. but I am danger close to buying a SIG.. I like the compact to answer your question.. I like the whole grip module thing they have going on and that they are already cut for the dots ..
SIG is a really nice gun.
They really are worth checking out, though M&Ps are no slouches either! Thank you and cheers Andrew!
Have a good collection of various flavors. You will NOT be disappointed with a carefully selected Sig.
If you are conceal carry I wouldn’t recommend this. That damn beaver tail digs into you
@@imthefrog9725 I hear you there but now I carry a m&p 2.0 45 appendix..in all reality I won't be able to buy a nother pistol any time soon but I really like the Sig's for some reason
It's official, I love them both.
They are awesome guns Hurt! Thank you and cheers brother!
That’s great to hear about the grip modules! Thanks for the good info brother and hopefully we’ll see you soon. Cheers!
Excellent video. Hard to choose one of the two. I would choose the Xcarry and buy the compact grip module. Thanks
Thank you ER! That will definitely work my friend. Cheers!
Sweet mother of fudds
Just picked up a new X Carry. Coyote with a digicam slide. One of a kind, my favorite gun I’ve owned
The small milled slot behind the barrel on the X Carry, is a chambered round indicator.
another great video ... would love to see you update your intro, something a bit more modern, digital, and with a lot less gunfire noise !
I’m liking the compact. Thanks for the side by side!
I've been eyeballing a P320 X-Carry in 2-Tone stainless steel for $599. Looks amazing. Really tempting.
The bi-tone looks awesome! Saw one the other day, though it was $679, so $599 is a steal. Thank you and cheers!
@@KSGunGuy01 Welp I went ahead and bought it. Another seller was selling it for 549.99 on Gunbroker. Comes with 3 mags apparently which is great.
@jay Andre Neither did I. Sig doesn't even show it on their website but damn does it look nice
@@KSGunGuy01 Well I finally received it...and it feels so freaking good. Accurate, smooth, and looks good too :)
I like sig because they do a lot of innovating compared to other manufacturers. Granted, they've had their problems but that's a part of moving forward
Looking for first handgun. Stumbled into the Sig world of P320s. I seem to like the compact
I have the X Carry and love it. I’ve put 1500 rounds down range and not one time did I have a malfunction with it. Good job Sig Sauer
That's awesome Jimmy! Thank you and cheers!
Has the trigger changed?
Flat trigger.
Jimmy Gardner I was wondering if the trigger lightened up, creep, reset etc. did the trigger get better, still the same? I got to me but haven’t put that many rds through it
I have the compact. Fun and easy to handle. Love it.
Well K.S., I guess last nights chat pushed me over the edge. I bought the P320 x compact today. I am "behind enemy lines" in Maryland, so it will be a week before I get it. Cheers!
Congrats Jim! Keep me posted on what you think about it. I'm very excited for you! Thank you and cheers brother!
Right on Alexander! I do agree that the Compact can make a huge difference. Thank you and cheers!
What the website?
@@GivenFactNotFiction ua-cam.com/channels/zATya1CnjH6v7H5ZX8KSPw.html
I conceal carry the x carry. Love the gun. Also like access to 21 round mags that fit it. But not the compact. But a great all around gun.
P320 Compact is one of the best looking guns. Can't wait to rent it. I have VP9SK and love it.
I'm not a big polymer Sig fan, but more to their all steel Sig Sauer 226 style. Another great video KS
They have some great steel guns for sure Jerry! I like the P229 quite a bit.
The thumb closer to the slide stop can cause the slide to lock back while shooting. Especially on older p320's.
Philip Freeman haha it all depends on your hand size. It happens to some people with some platforms and not others.
That’s never happened to me. I shoot no-handed though
Idk why your thumbs are so high. Never lock my back while shooting once.
That’s awesome! They are great guns indeed. Thank you and cheers!
Great,, Just what I needed... Always wanted a side-by-side...Hope to HAVE both-using a MINIMAL conversion.. Thanks
They also work with shield RMSc red dots.
I bought that same SAS slide for my 365 too. Don't know if you've noticed, but with that slide the striker drag is virtually gone.
Such a great review! Love nerding out with gun reviews
I enjoyed your comparison and look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you for the enjoyable video!
Thank you very much Mark! Cheers brother!
Another great video. X carry professional is what you seek. I like the X compact frame for my RX compact slide. Wish they would come out with that.
Just have to wait for the xcompact frame module then you'll have what you are looking for. $70 tops
Right on Andrew! I agree with Bloodysoup about the module. Hopefully it will be out soon. Thank you and cheers!
Long time Glock guy.....I picked up the x-carry pro recently and for my hands.....the grip felt like home. Better for ME than my G19 or the G45 I handled before deciding on the x-carry pro
The x carry just fits like a glove
Nice video! I bought the X Compact. Waiting for my holster to come in.
Thank you very much! Congrats on the new acquisition brother. Cheers!
Same for me !!!!
That slide lock is a problem when shooting. Slide will lock open with rounds still on the mag if you have a tight high grip which I have. I will stick with the Xcarry until Sig tightens up the slide lock to the frame. I know several people that have encountered this problem as well.
Adjust your grip a little? Thank you and cheers!
That’s awesome! I think you will enjoy the P320 and any will serve. It all depends on the role you want it to fill. Thank you and cheers!
If you truly want a full size look at the P226
I have smaller hands (for a man) so I should get the x compact. Great video
Thank you sir.
Interested in both, either will be a nice addition to the collection.
Right on Carl! They really are both great guns. Thank you and cheers!
Great info as usual.Enjoy your videos.
Thank you very much Abram! Cheers brother!
Im so in love with the way the x-compact looks. I just cant get over the cost, quality control issues that sig has, and the red dot mount they went with.
ex navy seals carry them, my Dad the ex cop of 40 yrs carries one...good enough for me
Have the carry model and love it and now considering the Wilson/Sig P320. Like to see a comparison of the standard Sig vs the Wilson Combat version.
Please do. I have both and I would love to hear that!
The one right for me is the 92G Elite LTT. Thanks for the vid.
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
I was already sold and this video was confirmation to go ahead and grab the 320 XCompact.
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
Thanks for the comparrisons of these 2 excellent sidearms. From a Carry Conceal point of view I would want the one that has the smaller overall footprint. I believe that was the compact.
Thank you Richard! Yes, the Compact would be the way to go. Cheers brother!
Do you know anything about the p320 XCarry LE? They model no ends in R3. Do you know if those are compatible with other red dots aside from the Romeo?
You fuse them. Put the xcarry slide on x compact frame. That's the perfect carry weapon.
X carry all day!! Along with the g45 mos. full size grip on compact slide with a red dot is the best of both worlds.
Gene Malburg except CCW, the grip is what sticks out lol 😂
I really think that the best combination would be the X-Carry slide with the X-Compact grip module. It would make it very P229-esque. The best of both worlds.
Right on! I still need to shoot it and see how it runs. Cool looking if nothing else, lol. Thank you and cheers!
Straight and to the point, thank you .
Thank you very much! Cheers!
Own a P365 and P226. Picked up and handled the X Carry and liked it so much I bought it on the spot. Did'nt give myself a chance to look at the Compact. I feel comfortable in my decision. I figure I can always invest in a compact module. Nice comparison!
The Carry is awesome! I think you will really like it. Thank you and cheers!
Thanks, I thought I bought a compact 320rx and yet its a carry. For anyone asking, the 15 round magazines will NOT fit in the carry.
I'm just confused by so many models in the P320 line! But seriously though, how do they compare to the P365?
I have the 365 XL and love it!

I have the P365 with laser and Streamlight inside IWB Holster.
LOL
X-Carry is only cut for Romeo1 red dot; the X-Compact is cut for the new Romeo1PRO, which is the same footprint as the Delta Point PRO.
I would like your opinion on the difference in trigger pull weight/comfort. Everything I read in gun forums says the x-carry is superior to the compact. That it's slightly lighter in pull and very clean vs the compact.
Its ok to over crush it sometimes...
Own both. X carry is better but the x compact grip module is way better. Put carry on compact grip module and you got a very capable and comfortable gun.
Please consider updating this by reviewing the new P320-M18 and comparing it to the X Compact
Have both, love both.
