I had never heard of this brand of stud finder, until my brother-in-law who's a builder recommended it to me. After almost 30 years in the building trade he put his other stud finders on the shelf, and uses this one exclusively. That's enough for me to know these are better than most.
2 years of regular use on mine. Got it at HF for around $20. It really is the simplest design out there. Fits nicely in a pouch on my tool belt. If I did full time drywall work I would buy a nicer one but it fits my needs perfectly.
I've had one for 3-4 years. I love the way it works with the wide display of stud, but it's a little inconsistent at times I've noticed, especially over drywall. I had real issues with it in my garage.
After using a traditional stud finder with no luck, my wall looked like it had been attacked by a drunken woodpecker. Gave up. Researched. Got the Franklin M210 - love it! Studs found.
@@TheReformationWoodshop no it's just basic stud finder. Look on Amazon for more details about it. It's basically the same one in your video without the leveling.
After looking into the HF one it seems like it’s the better deal. It has the same functions that this one has plus it senses electrical lines in the wall. I’d much rather have that one especially since it’s $20 cheaper.
I work at Franklin Sensors. This is a cool and detailed video. I would be interested in hearing more of your feedback. What's the best way to contact each other?

I’d head his advice as well 👍🏻 Smart man!

It’s definitely going to come in handy when we start drywall on our next remodel!
I’ve had mine for two years. Purchased mine at HarborFreight. Works great.
They sold at harbor freight?!? That’s awesome!

Was your garage textured?
@@TheReformationWoodshop Nope. Just straight up drywall.

I’ve punched a good amount of holes in my walls looking for studs too. Don’t be embarrassed 🤣
I use the Franklin 710 professional stud finder very similar to that model and it works like a charm
Is that the one with the electrical sensor? I would prefer that one.

Can you please explain the pipe finder better ! The only reason I want to buy it
Would you still suggest buying the Franklin Sensor M150 from Harbor Freight or buy the 710 Pro somewhere else? Thanks!

710
I am new to this. I am seeing M150 and M210. Not sure which one to buy. Both detects electric lines. Any suggestions plz?
The M150 has 9 sensors for detecting and the M210 has 13 for more accurate detection.
Thank you for your reply. Does 710 has capability to detect live wire?
I will get one
