I've found that if you are an early bird, there is pretty steady business at 6-9am. Hang out in the suburbs and you'll get some nice distance rides as people need to get to work.

I'm new to Uber today was my 2nd day driving for Uber. it's cool but I'm trying to find out where the good spots are at? I usually drive in the Hollywood area West Hollywood area but people I pick up only go around the corner and done. where do you find the most activity for extended trips or even extended periods of time.

+J ortega It's not random. If peoples' behaviour was random then nothing would be predictable, but it is. People tend to go out at specific times and on specific days of the week.

+Didier Badila Weekly. Pay period ends at 4 AM Monday morning. My pay is in my account Thursday morning for the previous pay period. It seems reasonable compared to most jobs but I am sure Uber could pay the hour after the pay period ends if they wanted. The transaction is no more complicated than taking a passengers money for a ride.
I once traveled 13 minutes for a 3 minute drive and made 3 bucks after the uber fee, live and learn
Yeah I went thru that a couple of times but I made it a rule that in certain areas in the city I don't drive past 5 mins

Not really I have a back injury unrelated to driving and I'm getting surgery soon so I haven't been able too.
Does your insurance company know you're a rideshare driver?
Mine does. Why is that surprising to some people? Uber has a minimum insurance expectation for comprehensive 3rd party anyway. Many drivers insure it even beyond that! I do.
idont see why its necessary. as long as you have insurance. rider leaves after an accident
@@aarondavid5866 because your insurance company will not pay for your car if you don't tell them you are a driver. And Uber or Lyfts insurance is not going to cover your whole car. And the insurance companies can find out if your are a driver. My policy is only going up 50 a month.

@@aarondavid5866 You missed the point. You don't have to tell them anything, but if you get in an accident, while working, they will not cover your car. And they can find out you are a driver. Insurance companies track everything about you, even your mileage. They clock data from DMV and when you get your car serviced. They raised my rates because they said I was driving more miles a year then I claimed. They found out through spying on me...
