The powerhouse of Corridor! One of the most engaging VFX artists on youtube. Thanks for showing your secret and full in-depth process on this Clint! A 4 hour weekly tutorial is just so heavenly when its your type of high quality, never thought I'd see how you made the robot shots. All and all really inspiring and just makes me want to tinker with everything in 3d haha
Wait omg!!!! I remember when you uploaded the ww2 cardboard guns stuff. And... then years later I found node, then corridor! This is a big circle of awsome!
Hey man, the stuff you do and the stuff you do with corridor digital is really awesome. I never knew anything about visual effects until a few months ago when I started watching y’all’s content. I’m learning simple effects now, and it’s really fun. Thanks for inspiring.
I've been following Corridor for years and years now and I just found this channel...Dude had I known before...the content is awesome, you are awesome, so inspiring. Love all your work!
Actually you don't need to change proportions of the model to match the mocap bones. Only Hips joints include position data keyframes, but all other joint include only rotation data. So you can easily change proportions of the joints itself to match your model, or transfer rotation data (use Constraint PSR tag - with only R checked) directly to your model parts (don't forget to move anchor points to the preferable joint positions). When you change your model to match mocap skeleton, you ruin your original proportions which can't be applicable in many situations.
Thanks a lot for this tutorial! The first time I tracked something I was using the Cinema 4D Tracker, but the track in AE is much better. Thanks also for the usefull tips. cheers.
Awesome tutorial man! I hope this helps by the way when you faced those mapping issues you could try the triplanar projection in octane it is basicly an advanced box projection perfect to use when you dont have uvws in your model but you will need to use an additional triplanar node for the textures to work before plugging them into the material channels, anyway great content!
learning a lot from you. thanks for making this what do you suggest about architectural visualization in cinema 4d ? autocad floor plan to modeling an exterior scene.
Just found your channel and you're exactly what I've been looking for thank you so much, man. Ever think about doing a tutorial on putting a realistic car in your motion track?
Hi clint, I can't access the robot model in discord as he dropbox file is apparently in your bin. is there any chance you can send it to me so I can follow along?
Scale it using model mode not object mode. Its under dropdown in left corner above texture mode where you select mode polygon mode n all. BTW i am huge fan of corridor love the work you guys do.
Dang I followed all this to a T and my horizon line is tilted completely 90 degrees with Z facing down. And the shadow at the end should have just been a pass for simplicity sake. That part was a straight nightmare. But this process was sure fire amazing - I learned so much! Thanks for all you do!
Definitely! The shadow pass is something that I could have gone over but I wanted to have something final looking for ya'll. Would have been horrible to go through a full render of the robot just to get to a shadow pass. Wanted something to show at the end. But yeah, depending on the program you're in, your Y-axis might be your Z axis, so it's just a matter of getting it to line up in AE first.
Hi Clint. My question is not about robots, but about textures. There is a 64 * 64 texture, when I render on a physical engine, everything is fine, but when I use octane, the texture is blurry. What could be the problem? Minecraft texture
Hey Clint, this may be a dumb question, i am aware i cannot run octane on mac, however; would this same technique work with just the standard cinema 4d render?
but why didn t you just upload the model to mixamo and create the rig on it on the website and download it ready? why did you only download the motion tracking data without skin then do all this reassigning work of the rig to the model in c4d?
I honestly didn't think of that, but I doubt it would get me the control I would have needed. It most likely would have bent metal pieces and looked pretty janky.
Hi... Big fan..... Btw Do You all have individual incognito accounts... If it's there please let me know... Because I'm freelance VFX artist 😇 But i need ideas, just like you all did in corridor crew..
@@pwnisher Thank you. Im surprised that its a decent rig with a lot of ram, the workflow was very smooth. Im new to 3d and wanna start learning animations. Im guessing that 3d software is rather ram dependant if you working on difficult scenes(more models and polygons). Ive got i7 3770k 16 gb ddr3 and gtx 1070. Im thinking of creating an island with many trees, ocean and from there simulate the wind and water. Big of a wish for a begginer i know... So I was wondering, do I need to upgrade my ram to ddr4? As im afraid this task of mine will lead to a laggy experience. Sorry for any mistakes and weird wording, still learning english and dont have much practice with it.
@@EvilAimbot You can't just upgrade ddr3 to ddr4 since they both run on different voltages and the slots are physically different. For speed in the viewport you'd want a cpu with higher clock speed and would want more ram. The speed ram is less importatnt actually. Read this article it should help you understand it better: www.cgdirector.com/best-computer-3d-modeling-rendering/
Make sure to head over to my discord server and download the free assets so you can follow along.
THANK YOU THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH I AM WAITING FOR VERY LONG TIME YOU ARE AMAZING

I never knew Clint had a channel. Or a channel I had been subing for, for YEARS
Hahahahahaha!! Welcome back
Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words! I love sharing the knowledge!
Just want to say that I really appreciate you taking time to teach the UA-cam audience how to recreate awesome content like yours.
Thank you
My pleasure!

@@pwnisher yeah I sure will. Not that good at it yet, but working on it.
When Clint's own video is recommended to him: Stonks 📈
This is amazing. Really gives me a much more granular understanding of Octane
years of experience packed into a cool 4hrs, thanks Clint

dude really great stuff...i recently getting serious about vfx and all that stuff...and your work helped a lot....keep it up!!
this is so awesome to see! love it man!
Hey Clint, could you re-upload the asset files? It appears the links on your Discord are no longer working! :(
Increase sun size for softer shadow edges. BTW great work

This helped me so much. Even when i am using blender.
Hope you are stayng safe

pwnisher bro of course! I’m just mad cause I can’t figure out the shadow pass - this tutorial literally changed my life! Thanks so much man!
where can I find the downloads?
Hey! I've got a quick question. A custom HDRI would've work better in this situation? Like, if you'd just use your Insta 360 cam
Whos the artist who produced the thumbnail image! that one is sickkkkkkkkkkkk !!!
Hi Clint. My question is not about robots, but about textures. There is a 64 * 64 texture, when I render on a physical engine, everything is fine, but when I use octane, the texture is blurry. What could be the problem? Minecraft texture
Cinema 4D has motiontracker too
Hey Clint, this may be a dumb question, i am aware i cannot run octane on mac, however; would this same technique work with just the standard cinema 4d render?
You could use physical renderer for sure it would just take a lot longer to render.
So like
HDRI
Surface imperfections
Randomisation in movement
I would love to participate in the weekly challenges... How do I participate aaand figure out what's the theme n stuff?
join the discord sever my dude! This week's theme is "robot"
But how can we transfer the tracking data to blender
hey clint, I can't find the robot model on your discord
How do the techniques you use transfer over to other programs (I’m on blender)
you'd just have to look up the appropriate tutorial for your program. Blender guru and Ian Hubert have tons of great ones or Blender.
but why didn t you just upload the model to mixamo and create the rig on it on the website and download it ready? why did you only download the motion tracking data without skin then do all this reassigning work of the rig to the model in c4d?

Then you'd love the first part of this tutorial, hehehe. Or check out videocopilot.net
Anyone gotten this suggested 4 months later?
u have a channel and i don't know about it why !!!!!!! sub
Can you tell the pc specs?
It's in the discord server but yeah:
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070
RAM: 64 GBs
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700k CPU @ 4.00GHz

No one has time to watch a 4-hour tutorial. Please make your videos short, simple and straight to the point.
Theres like over 40k watching , so simmer down big boi .
Then don't watch it dude it can't be straight to point bcuz it's not just about creating it you have to understand it first
