    Everything that I have done so far in order to fit 34's on my 4runner. If you run a 0 offset with what I have you may be able to get 35s.

    Great video man. I can't wait to see what your new suspension turns out to look like.

    Lots of good info in this video! I have a 2014 FJ, black rhino -38 wheels, 35x12.5 M/T, total chaos upper.., I’ve done lots of cutting! Well worth it tho!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

      285/75/17 is so much easier to fit than the 305/17/17s.

      @@OXFOOT just bought 285/75/17 ko2s to mount on some Methods with -12 offset for my 4runner. I have a CBI baja bumper and 2.5 inch lift. Do you think they will fight? how much cutting will I have to do?

    Love the build, one question tho, is the top bolt on your rock slider by the body mount chop at minute 10:10 of the video falling out, it looks like the bolt is barely threaded into the frame?

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  Рік тому

      Yeah wow I never saw that until now. I’ll have to get under the 4Runner and see what’s going on there. Might be an optical illusion from the angle but thanks I’ll look into that!

    this is helpful! I'm going to move to 295/70/17 with -30 offset. Did you regear?

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  Рік тому

      Yeah 295 is probably the way to go. Decent poke and size without doing all the cutting. Still some cutting but not nearly that much.

    • @OXFOOT

      I haven’t regeared and I probably won’t. Anything bigger and I would.

    I run zero offset wheels. Would this be the same amount of cutting with my wheels and 305/70/17?

    • @OXFOOT

      I would still recommend doing about what I’ve done, but ultimately I would say do the BMC, and then take it around the block and see where it rubs then cut that or adjust the caster/camber. It was a trial and error thing for mine, but you may find that you don’t need as much on yours.

    Do you think a -12 off set 17x8.5 rim would be able to clear that SPC upper control arm with 35’s?

    My wheels are rubbing in the back. How have the spc held up? How long have you had them.

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  Рік тому

      SPCs have been great. I did have to replace them once because I forgot to grease them for like 9 months and they were grinding and broke. I would recommend them but I’d also see if you can get a BMC if you haven’t and take a heat gun. What size are you running?

    • @OXFOOT

    I’m planning 285/70/17s and I just ordered the SCS Ray10s with -38.
    Is it more complicated with the -38s and 285s?
    I’m wondering if I made a mistake?

    • @PocketManga
      @PocketManga 10 місяців тому +1

      I have 0 offset on my wheel with 285/70/17 and very minimal rub only on reverse full turn. I think flush 0 offset is great as less debris will fly up.

    • @Treetopflyer777
      @Treetopflyer777 10 місяців тому

      @@PocketMangathanks for the reply.
      So now that my -38s are on, I love the look but it did require the typical BMC plus a small amount of fender trimming, rocker cap trimming and I had to fold the panel behind the rocker caps flat. Took 20 minutes to do (aside from the BMC) so not terrible. Now zero rub even at full articulation.

    • @PocketManga
      @PocketManga 10 місяців тому +1

      @@Treetopflyer777 BMC is little involved. I did not realize that body mount actually prevents wheels coming up and injuring you in a head on collision. I am sure we all weigh in risk as we do these mods. But I had no idea that is what it did.

    • @Treetopflyer777
      @Treetopflyer777 10 місяців тому

      @@PocketManga ya the BMC is involved. And agree we weigh the risks. It was one that I ultimately decided to accept.

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  Рік тому +1

I have vids of me bunny hopping on this tree root in 4 low, and it bouncing off rev limiter in 3rd smoking 3 outta 4 tires on the tree roots and rocks haha. I have plans to take it to windrock soon and reallyyy put it to the test. I do have minor rub issues occasionally. What is the difference between 285/70/17 and 285/75/17 ?

    • @OXFOOT
      @OXFOOT  8 місяців тому

      It’s the ratio of side wall so it’ll be somewhere around and inch taller but I think not much wider or maybe it’s the same exact width. Taller skinnier tires for the 75.
