The Fitbit Ionic hasn't sold as well as Fitbit Hoped it would. It could be either cause of its price, design, capabilities, or all of the above. But the new Fitbit Versa might be the perfect fitness tracker with some smart watch capabilities perfect for your casual gym goer. The Fitbit versa has a very minimalist design thats very pebble and Apple Watch like that can track your daily activity without actually looking like a fitness tracker but it can actually show you useful notifications at a glance.

One thing I don't like about the Versa is most Watch faces don't have real time heart rate monitoring, I've installed several fancy watch faces that have a a lot of data but when I would jump and run around a bit the rare would not go up and down every few seconds like when you run the exercise apps, the one watch face that I found does have real time heart rate tracking is the Ask "Sara Versa" watch face, when I move my arms around of jump up and down I see the heart rate go up and down. I like the watch faces that show seconds, but have not found any that seem to have real time heart rate monitoring display.
I am having trouble syncing my sleep, but I didn't have issues with my Fitbit Charge 2. Do I need a separate app?
It needs a built in GPS and smaller bezel. Fitbit should offer a band for the Versa that looks like the Iconic Adidas band.

Does it have a calendar? Or does it sync with iPhone calendar?
Will the NFC Google Pay feature work if you don't have your Bluetooth-paired phone with you when trying to make a payment?
I currently have the apple watch series 1 it is good as a smart watch but when it comes to fit tracking and most importantly the battery life span I consider it doesn't do such a great job can anyone share those thoughts as well?
A mic to respond and interact with messages and notifications would have been thoughtful and I would have purchased one had it of had this. Hopefully Fitbit will include that functionality on their next watch.

I tried the garmin vivoactive 3. I really wanted to like it but i got used to higher resolution. And unfortunately , the garmin VA 3 doesn't have it.
sooooo whats the different from the ionic... besides the battery, GPS(Versa being connected to the phone while the ionic has a built in GPS) and the look. Sooo why get the versa over the ionic?

I just bought two of them today one for me and one for my wife, but they never told me only the 30 more one has nfc built in. They told me I only get a second band. Taking it back tomorrow to get nfc chip

funny how I workout 1hr in the morning and 45 min at night. and i stream and I get almost 4 days. you're probably maxing out the brightness for no reason

Yes, to an extent, you will need to have your phone with you during your ride to ensure that the Watch can sync with your phone's GPS as it does not come built-in with the Versa
It tracks bicycling and you can also edit your workouts to have it track indoor cycling/spin! I love mine so far :)

Hi, Is the Ionic still laggy after the OS 2.0 update or did they fix that ?. How fast is the ui os compared to ui on the versa. Heard the ui is comparatively faster in the Fitbit Versa watch.

lindseyay1988 The Versa does fitness tracking and sleep tracking better. The price is also much more reasonable. I had an Apple Watch. I didn’t use most of the apps on there.
