I had the same issues of being upside down on the Scrambler but not really using it to the potential I knew it had. I went and swapped for a T120 Black since I knew I just wasn't going to make use of the bike, but that 1200XE is such an awesome bike.

Yeah - honestly, it might be a good thing for me. I think the delay needed to pay down the scrambler will let the reviews of the new Tiger 1200 come out and see if that's something I can consider when I'm in a better financial situation.

Thanks Erik! Yeah, I really like this screen. There's a decal you can order for the front that hides the speedo and what-not. But I kind of like how it looks without as well. It's very un-intrusive and depending on angle you look at the bike, you can almost not even see it. The more I ride with it, the more I realize how much it's actually doing.

Don't know about the American bike market at the moment but here in the UK there are some really nice second hand Multistrada 1260's for sale. Bike manufacturers will always come out with anything new, to trigger people's desire to buy a new bike because they know that people will always dump mint-condition lightly used bikes for whatever's new, in search of something "better". A wise man then swoops in to buy their mint trade-in model and a massive discount and pays cash. Do it just before or during Winter in an area where it snows and get an even bigger deal. I just got a Scrambler 1200XC with $2300 in accessories on it for under $10K with only 750 miles on it. When you buy used, you avoid the $650 freight cost, and probably the first service costs as well and any labor costs of whatever accessories were already installed on the bike when you got it. You also don't pay tax on the money you saved. Then when you sell, sell at the beginning or riding season, advertise the cost of all those shiny accessories that're on it, detail it well, change the oil, and take great pictures of it and a walk-around video, and you can even make money on the deal. I've done this a few times. Buying new, and paying finance fees, then taking a huge hit on depreciation when you sell it in a year to have the newest thing out, is the quickest way to be/stay poor. I've done both, and one has a clear advantage.

That screen was hopeless for me. Caused massive buffeting. Forunately the blade broke in half when I dropped the bike. So it's not a very flexible or robust material. I've recently fitted a Dart Marlin which, for me, works well and is adjustable on it's mounts for angle. It comes up about 12" from the top of the headlamp shell. I'm 5'10" with average proportions.
Another thing to mention is that I saw a video recently where the guy had mounted his GPS on the crossbar of the frame and the frame broke. Unit Garage told him that he shouldn't have mounted the GPS there. So they didn't honour the warranty. Not good.
