Well, you sold me. I'm gonna order this regular size Unit G windscreen. Love the phone mount. I was toying with the XL, but I've got a flyscreen now, and I'm sure this is a massive improvement without being massive. Chef life is an interesting one. I spent 9 years in steakhouses in the front of the house. I'd have gone high-end and made it a career, but I blew my back out and can't stand for much more than an hour. Love to cook though. It's good my commutes are only about 15 minutes, but the wrist-twist therapy is worth it.
Installed the XL on my wife's Trident 660 that she uses to commute 100km to work on every day. Not the cheapest but, boy, we really wanted that bracket that it comes with to hang the phone mount on! Was also surprised to see how thick the windscreen material is - it's rock solid!
i have the same motorcycle, what code or description or model number do i look for when ordering? you’ve badged your clothes on the screen but not the windshield. i’m on the unit garage website and theres no option to select the hardware for the triumph scrambler 1200….. thanks
UG-3105 - Unit Garage 3105 Triumph 1200 Windscreen Clear Size: UNICA I looked up my order receipt from when I bought the windscreen (from motostorm) this is the exact description from my order. Hope it helps. I love this windscreen!
@@anthonyridesphilly : thank you for the response . i’ll look it up. shipping is around $80, yes? how long did it take ? my second day with a new 2022 scrambler 1200XC….can’t describe how much i love this bike. you mentioned in this video that the windscreen directs air into your face rather than over your helmet. you said you love this windscreen but the air idea directed into your face. can you elaborate on this ?
@@ginoasci I don’t remember how much I payed for shipping. But $80 seems high. I bought mine last year. The windscreen is just a bit short for me standing at 6 foot tall. So it simply does not come up very high. I could use a taller screen but there are not many available on the market. Glad you are enjoying your new scrambler! It’s a great bike, enjoy the adventures!
I’ve explored rain, road and sport modes. One time I tried off road in the fort but it was crazy with street tires. I had no traction (it was very wet that day) I actually slid out and dropped the bike due to the lack of traction so I finished the trail in road mode. Helped a lot
I've had the same experience with Off Road mode. The mode turns off Traction Control and ABS, so you can send the full engine power to the rear. If you're experienced with dirt bikes, off road mode will be fine. For the rest of us, using Rain mode on the dirt makes for an easier ride.
Hi.. I’ve recently purchased and fitted the Unit Garage screen to my 1200XE. It does a great job of keeping the wind off my chest but I found the wind noise created by the screen to be absolutely ’ve taken it off unfortunately

Thanks! I’m looking forward to getting out for longer rides this summer. Next up, I want to figure out the motorcycle camping gear setup👍

Looks like an adventure bike to me. Nice looking wind screen. I wish I had a 12 minute commute to work.

looks complete! Did you get to explore all the riding modes?

Almost 500 views whoo whoo!
How tall are you? How is the wind buffeting?
I’m 6ft, and the buffeting isn’t eye blurring terrible. It’s medium at worst. I don’t mind it one bit. Hope that helps.
@@anthonyridesphilly thanks for the info 🙂

Wow, cities suck as hard as possible, huh?
