Somehow even after 16 years, Jesper Gronkjaer's goal against Liverpool is one I can still clearly recall. Him cutting in from the right just outside the 18 yard box and curling a beautiful shot into the corner of the post. Gronkjaer had great ability to beat his man with pace on the wings but his end product wasn't the best at times, which left me frustrated to no end. However, all is forgiven when he scored this goal to help Chelsea secure their Champions League spot the following season. Not only did Chelsea stave off a financial crisis, Champions League football was actually the deal breaker for Roman Abramovich to buy the club off Ken Bates. Small margins between the club going into administration and being one of the most successful English sides the past decade.
Every player that leaves Liverpool always lives to regret it. The grass ain’t always greener especially when your at one of the biggest clubs in the world with the BEST FANS IN THE WORLD AND THE BEST ATMOSPHERE.
R4LIFE 7 Suarez was the only one that I could think of but even Suarez has said he misses playing for Liverpool. As for Owen he’s a little rat anyway his love was money not the clubs he played for
Thinking back to past Premiership matches I would have to say that the games that left a real lasting impression on me have to be the two very open attacking end to end games that Liverpool FC played and won against Newcastle United both ending up as 4-3 wins for the mighty Reds.

Gary with the Stone Roses tshirt on, love to see it. 🍋🍋
What would Sky do without these two
“Got a weekend in Rhyl “ only a manc and a scouser over 40 will get it that was our holidays
Watched that Drogba goal live and I remember my jaw just hitting the deck.
Love the banter between these two.. never stops
Love how they never talked about the Gerrard slip 🤣🤣🤣
Because carragher didn't play that game maybe??
Carragher didnt play
Bryan Yim I was going to insult you but then I realised you supported Chelsea..... let’s say no more
Gerrard still slipped though.
Carragher didn’t play...?
THE ENDING MY GODDDDD 😂😂😂😂
Neville with a Stone Roses t shirt and suddenly he’s way cooler in my mind
Every player that leaves Liverpool always lives to regret it. The grass ain’t always greener especially when your at one of the biggest clubs in the world with the BEST FANS IN THE WORLD AND THE BEST ATMOSPHERE.
Whoop Whoop maybe not Suarez but he’s the only one I can think of
Michael Owen won the PL only after he left Liverpool
R4LIFE 7 Suarez was the only one that I could think of but even Suarez has said he misses playing for Liverpool. As for Owen he’s a little rat anyway his love was money not the clubs he played for
TheRealist 811 good points
TheRealist 811 true but there’s still not many.
Nothing hurt as much as Torres going to Chelsea 😩
Kyle tbh gerrard slip hurt more
Fernando Torres. First football love, first football heartbreak.
no mention of when we beat liverpool 2-1 in the fa cup final??
or the crazy game at the bridge in the champions league when we drew 4-4
@eoe123321 carragher didn't play in the FA cup final but did play in the 4-4 draw.
Thinking back to past Premiership matches I would have to say that the games that left a real lasting impression on me have to be the two very open attacking end to end games that Liverpool FC played and won against Newcastle United both ending up as 4-3 wins for the mighty Reds.
Great stuff..i love the last quote about Liverpool not winning the league in 30 years..and Carragher saying yes..but in that time man. Utd were relagated and Liverpool won European cups...haaaaa.
Great stuff, 😂but he was wrong, united last got relegated in 1974, thats 45 years ago, not within 30 years,
@@mufcoasis1610 ,hes about in the 26 years run (1967-1993) of united never won league they was relagated?so he was right ,also its not united longest run
Manchester United - 41 years
Although a long streak, United's 41 years without a title is most likely forgotten just for the fact that it was such a long time ago, and the club has won 18 English titles since. That's right, the 20 time English champions suffered their longest streak without a title after just their second triumph, which stretched from 1911 to 1952. Since then The Red Devils' longest run without a title was a 26 year stretch between 1967 and 1993.
Nev and Carra are brilliant together. Great pundits with all the right knowledge and the banter is great. Adversaries yet friends.
“How small do you look? You’re smaller than Zenden!” 😂😂
where is that photo?. when diego costa fight with stevie G..
Carragher has a photographic memory like I did for a couple of years when I first started watching. He's as much a fan as a player.
Riise, one of the most under rated LBs in the world, thats my unpopular opinion :P
His clutch diving header goal winner was world class. Shame it was an own goal
@@JnoPrds People make mistakes my friend, i was gutted as well, but yeah even the best make big mistakes sometimes. :(
"Did you get a cut on that?" Hahaha savage Gary!
What I would give for these two to have a podcast, in a similar vain to That Peter Crouch Podcast.
Love the video!
Need more of this for top 6 games against each other.
"30 years, Gary" :D
You always get the straight story when they reminisce about days gone by. Big up to Neville on the Roses shirt.
in today’s market £50million for Torres was a bargain for chelsea
unfortunately he just didn’t settle :(
would of loved to have seen prime torres in a chelsea kit
Mark Spark in today’s market it would have been like 100mil+, 50mil back then was near enough unheard of
