I think it was against West Ham (or Brom) at Anfield, a few weeks before Torres left for Chelsea. Me and my brother were sat right at eye level to the pitch. I remember, as clear as day my brother saying "His heart isn't in this anymore". Really poor first touch, no composure and his pace and aggression had seemingly gone. It was really sad seeing him like that because he was my first footballing love hahaha. Chelsea despite the price tag got their back imo for the CL semi-final vs Barcelona goal. We got a massive fee for a player on the decline. Only to spend it on Carroll! (and Suarez...)

Somehow even after 16 years, Jesper Gronkjaer's goal against Liverpool is one I can still clearly recall. Him cutting in from the right just outside the 18 yard box and curling a beautiful shot into the corner of the post.
Gronkjaer had great ability to beat his man with pace on the wings but his end product wasn't the best at times, which left me frustrated to no end. However, all is forgiven when he scored this goal to help Chelsea secure their Champions League spot the following season.
Not only did Chelsea stave off a financial crisis, Champions League football was actually the deal breaker for Roman Abramovich to buy the club off Ken Bates. Small margins between the club going into administration and being one of the most successful English sides the past decade.

Although a long streak, United's 41 years without a title is most likely forgotten just for the fact that it was such a long time ago, and the club has won 18 English titles since. That's right, the 20 time English champions suffered their longest streak without a title after just their second triumph, which stretched from 1911 to 1952.
