Look how important his goals were though..the winner in the FA cup semi in extra time with 10 men against one of the greatest back 4's in English football history and the late equaliser at home to Juve in the 1st leg semi..he scored a few goals that season in Europe. Got 3 or 4 in the group stage. He got a few assists too whipping them balls in from out wide into Cole and Yorke to head home..i remember them.

I'd argue that as a defender gary is streets ahead, he did not have the same pace as walker has meaning his positioning has to be a lot stricter in order to not get dumpstered by pacy wingers. Walker for the early part of his career always relied on his pace to get himself out of bad defensive positioning, but has definitely gotten better. Offensively they both use different weapons to devastating degree.
You can't take Grealish's G+A and compare it to Giggs. Different era, different systems. Giggs and Beckham aren't "forwards" in a 4-4-2, they are wide midfielders who hold their positions wide. The players that attacked the box are the two strikers and late runners into the box from midfield (mostly Scholes). The fact that Scholes and Beckham almost have 20 G+A from midfield that season is incredible. Add that to Yorke and Cole who had 20+ G+A each and don't forget Ole Gunnar Solskajer coming from the bench racking up goals as well. In 2004/05, Scholes had more goals & assists then Gerrard. In the same season, Liverpool won the Champions league. By Jamie’s logic, did Scholes have a better season and thus a better player?
Anything can happen. Liverpool were literally 180 minutes away from the QUAD last season and ended up with two trophies. I back Real to pull it out like they always do in the second leg.
As Manchester united fan i hope real do it or we beat them in the final but with Manchester city this year it feel like no one going stop them
@@MrFunguy12383 I can see both happening. Real, because it's Real Madrod in the champions league. They have an almost mystical hold of that trophy. And you lot because it's a final and a derby one off. So I'm hoping you raise your game and you never know.
Glad people are starting to give Walker the respect he deserves, time and time again he's coming up against electric players and not giving them a kick. He's quality. Nev is still the better pick, but come the end of Walker's career, there'll be a conversation to be had.
Kyle > Gary
Walkers a far better player tbh.

Gary gets endless cool and non-comformest points for his XI
You can't take Grealish's G+A and compare it to Giggs. Different era, different systems. Giggs and Beckham aren't "forwards" in a 4-4-2, they are wide midfielders who hold their positions wide. The players that attacked the box are the two strikers and late runners into the box from midfield (mostly Scholes).
The fact that Scholes and Beckham almost have 20 G+A from midfield that season is incredible. Add that to Yorke and Cole who had 20+ G+A each and don't forget Ole Gunnar Solskajer coming from the bench racking up goals as well. It is one of the best attacking teams ever without relying on one or two goalscorers.
I'm not a manu fan, but I don't like disrespecting old team in general.
It's a different era, different styles, and different rule interpretations.
It's not fair really to compare like for like because not all things are even.
