We shot a whole short film with a 50mm lens | TOUCH | Everyone is fighting an invisible battle.

When we got the chance to work with the new Sony FE50mm F1.4 GM lens our biggest challenge was to wrap our mind around only using one focal length for the whole short film. It was surprisingly easier than anticipated and it proved to be versatile enough.
Our story is all about human connection and how powerful a small gesture can be. You don't always know what invisible battle someone else is fighting.
We shot most of the film in the Karoo, a desert like area in the middle of South Africa. Special thanks to Reinier Snyman for organising a lot of the locations. We cant thank you enough. Also thank you to Biesieslaagte guest farm for the amazing stay and additional locations.
We also had the opportunity to film in the Gautrain - thank you to Adrian Levine for accommodating us.

That was really good, I enjoyed it, I generally don't like continues camera movement but you guys pulled it off. Well done, loved the sound and coloring too. I am pleasantly surprised that this lens could produce such cinematic film. The lovely old lady in the end was spot on 👏

I suggest a very ship lense , a Pentax 50 mm 1,2. it is really powerful, I have used it with my canon 650d + magic lantern, it works perfectly.
