I was drugged once at the club above the Roxy (On the Rox) on Sunset Blvd. I guess the guy though I was alone, but luckily I was there watching my friends band. So this guy is walking out the door with me and my friends stop mid-set and on the microphone ask the guy "Hey where are you going with her?" So grateful they were all there. Could have ended very differently.
That’s so scary and I’m so thankful that you are okay. Also Emily, I don’t know what your problem is, but that was such an awful thing to say and I really think you should consider working on yourself.
Yoga for Skateboarders I know so many people who have been spiked, it’s terrifying, luckily it’s not happened to me, but I’ve seen it first hand and it can escalate SO fast
I'm pretty sure she's one of the few genuinely good UA-camrs, she's never been in a huge controversy or drama, she made a lengthy video appologizing for buying the wrong fishtank. She's genuinely a great person
I work in a nightclub and we have the "Ask for angela" policy, so basically you go up to the bar if you feel uncomfortable, unwell etc and ask for anegla and we'll get you to a safe place and help sort everything out. Most clubs and bars in the UK at least have this policy. Please do not be afraid to ask your bartender for help or the club security
Yesss Cambridge nightlife is so dodgy and that policy has saved me and so many fellow students so many times! Really helps you feel like you have some agency in a truly shitty situation
i honestly appreciate what jenna said about looking out for alone, drunk women. it’s scary to be out of it and not be able to find your people so when another woman comes up to you and helps you, it’s very very kind and makes you feel a lot safer. if you see a woman who is clearly drunk in a bar with a man who’s obviously sober, please go over and check that she’s okay if the situation looks dodgy. it could save her a lot of trouble. even if it’s not what it looks like, she’ll be appreciative of what you did for her. it’s always better to be safe than sorry and us girls have to look out for each other.
@@marianaptks9933 true, he could be clearly lieing, or ask the "girlfriend" if she agrees, or asks for proof. Even though im a boy,, Im not letting rape happening.
I’m a dancer and I was at work about two years ago and someone put something in my drink. The club staff apparently couldn’t tell that I wasn’t OK & thought I took something on my own. Nothing happened besides my money from the night was stolen about $500. Most likely by the staff. Luckily a girl I had Known for a few years was working that night too I knew something wasn’t right. She got me dressed & called my bf to come get me. I have no memory of what happened that night just a bunch of embarrassing stories I heard from people that were there. I quit the next day after bitching them out for trying to blame me for the whole thing.
Jenna can say all she wants about Julien becoming his dad, ive been watching her since she was literally a gogo dancer and every year she gets quieter and quieter. Soon she'll be just like Debi, whispering to the audience
When I saw julien on my flight I freaked out. I basically ran off the plane when we landed to get that picture with him. Thanks for being so cool Julien. It made my experience pretty cool bc I hate flying and seeing you made me feel so much better!
I think they mentioned this before. They had mutal friends or julien was working at this place when jenna and her friends were out and she wouldnt stop hitting on him lol. They ended up exchanging numbers or something lol
Two things that really stood out to me in this podcast is that one Jenna and Julien really aren't like some other influencers were they just go to these conventions to party and stuff. They are there to meet us and I find that really nice and as a viewer makes me appreciate and you respect you guys more. Also just about Jenna's first story, I think we already know how great of people these two are but a lot of people will just sit by and not help people who clearly are under the influence of something. I personally can not consciously see a someone struggling to walk/talk/think because they're too drunk or anything and not try to help. It shows they really are just good people and they deserve the world. Thank you guys for the great content as always!
My friend actually got drugged once and had a similar reaction. Got slipped something at a bar and became very belligerent after only three drinks as well as insanely hostile. She actually ended up getting arrested after a spat with the cops (very unlike her) and had to spend a night in the drunk tank. Turns out she had been roofied. Such a scary experience and I hope that woman is okay!
First, Jenna is a hero, second, when Julien talked about Brandon I wanted to laugh cause the story was funny and also cry.. Don't wanna keep being sad about what happened but I just can't imagine losing someone like that... Julien's a hero for me too I love these guys so much
I think it's really interesting how you say you can't leave someone like that "as a woman", because I totally get it. I know it should just be a human thing, but I do feel like 'girl code' kind of kicks in. I've helped out random women when I've been out because there is a kind of female obligation to help other females. It's like I can't leave this random chick because she's clearly in need of help and like, if I don't do it what if someone who isn't wanting to help finds her? You know? I don't know. I don't feel like I'm saying it right.
Courtney Ward I totally agree. I was driving home one night around 10 from getting taco bell and there was a girl walking down the sidewalk when all of a sudden the truck that was driving in front of us flips around and goes back and pulls over next to the girl. It felt weird so I flipped around too and she starts walking the other way, away from this dude who'd gotten out of his truck by then and shes having like a freak out and they're clearly arguing. So I stopped to make sure she was okay and the guy kept inserting himself like "shes fine" and I'm just like dude no, I need to hear it from her. Girls gotta watch out for each other!
Definitely agree! I've only been out to a bar once but all of us girls kept close together... we met a few guys and walked to a different bar. One of their friends went into the wrong one and they were all just like "oh well lol he'll find his way home"... my friends and I were so confused. How do you just leave your drunk friend alone in the wrong bar???
@@tabethasisk5334 Well, I think it's partially because women just have more of a natural care instinct, you know, like all groups have a "mother" for example 😄 But the more dark side of it is probably also that we feel the threat of assault, sexual harassment, someone taking advantage etc., much more often than guys do. And we are generally physically weaker than men, so we have to have each other's back. Of course awful things happen to guys too, but I don't think it's as big of a worry in their minds, in general...
I agree with christine and would also add that maybe another reason we have that instinct is simply the subconscious question of what if it were me? No matter how careful a person is when going out bad things can still happen to you whether it's shitty friends leaving you by yourself, shitty bouncers who kick you out, a sudden breakup, a drugged drink, the list goes on. I think (or at least hope) we as women universally understand that literally anyone can get into a bad situation, and if it happened to us we'd want others to look out for us too. It should definitely be a value that every person man or woman has, but unfortunately I think there's still stigma out there of "she got herself into this mess so it's her own fault, should've stayed home" victim blaming.
My close friend was drugged by a coworker at a restaurant. Right after she drank some of the drugged drink thankfully she had to immediately leave because her neighbors called and her dog had gotten out. Anyway to this day she can't remember what happened after she left the parking lot in her car. Cops found her driving in circles in the middle of the road, not able to speak or walk, and promptly arrested har and gave her a DUI. Afterward she had to call an ambulance when she was released that morning and they found a cocktail of drugs in her system. She's still having to fight them over her DUI. The guy she thinks drugged her left town after he heard what happened.
@Enxiaty Dude, stop trolling the comments of a year old podcast. Every time I see your ridiculous comments I lose brain cells. Grow up little boy. Go outside and play instead of trolling from mommy and daddy's basement.
That diy anti-cocaine trick is so valuable as a girl that lives in LA. Thank you, I'll be sure to leave a thin coat of vaseline on every smooth surface of my bathroom if I throw more parties!😂
@@cami71213 By covering the flat surfaces in vaseline if anyone pours powder on them it'll stick, so they won't be able to do a line and will have to just wipe it off cause their coke is ruined
I love how amazing and good hearted Jenna is to random strangers, how she wouldn't leave a drunk girl alone without at least trying to help. The world needs more Jenna's tbh :(
my friends sister, whenever she goes on a date w a guy, always switches the drinks around when hes not looking so if he spiked hers he'd get the spiked drink. its usually okay but this one time she was w a guy for a bit n shes switched th drinks, and eventually the guys like "i dont feel too good" lmao

It's february 2021 and I still find myself coming back to old videos from the podcast and her channel. I hope she knows how much we miss her and the amazing impact she's had in our lives. Love you forever, Jenna. Hope she's doing well.
Jenna I'm super glad you are that kind of person to help a messed up woman who's alone. You never know what happened to them, and like you said, someone could have spiked her drink, or even if they are just drunk, they need to be save. I had a VERY scary situation some time ago, when I was just enjoying the night with 2 of my friends, then suddenly, I lost all my memory. I wake up in my friends bathroom, all my clothes on, under a blanket. I heard that I had just collapsed on the street and started puking in-front of some chicken restaurant. My friend tried to get me a taxi, but none of them took me, cause they were afraid I'd puke in the taxi. And we don't have Uber in my country or anything similar. Meanwhile, the security of the restaurant was ready to call the cops and wasn't helpful at all. THEN out of nowhere, these 3 angels came to my rescue. These women asked my friend (a guy) that wtf is going on, why am I there etc. My friend told them taxis wouldn't take me, so they were like HELL NO WE GETTING THIS GIRL OUTTA HERE and phoned someone to pick me up. All I remember is getting in that car, getting a bag to puke into and that's that. I had my drink spiked for sure, I have NEVER been in that situation with only drinking couple of drinks. I had kissed some people I have no memory of and I have no idea how I acted in the bar. It was super scary and humiliating.
That game is trash. First of all it's all pseudo edgy crap. You play 4 rounds and then everyone is just waiting to draw a new card which they immediately play because they have a hand of unfunny cards. Then the second time you go to play, none of the cards are surprising or funny because you've seen them all.
When I was in college, I had this roommate who, shall we say, entertained a lot of gentlemen friends. We shared a bathroom and kitchen area, but had separate rooms for sleeping, so I never really had to deal with her or any of the guys, unless our paths crossed. One night, I had left my room door unlocked, because my boyfriend was supposed to be stopping by after his last class. I was getting ready to go out with my boyfriend and some friends, and was standing half naked in the middle of the room, when all of a sudden, my room door burst open, and one of my roommate's guy friends was standing there, just staring at me. I quickly put my shirt on, while screaming at him to get out, and he just stood there, like he was in a daze. After literally 2 minutes of standing there, he said, "Oh, you're not Jamie. My bad." and went next door to my roommate's room. I was so embarrassed, I left my room to go to my boyfriend's dorm to wait for him there instead. Later that night, I learned that not only was the dude drunk, but he had taken a whole cocktail of drugs, and ended up in the hospital. He ended up getting expelled later down the road for pretty much the same thing. College is crazy.
I’m rewatching all of the podcasts because I miss Jenna so unbelievably much- I’ve been so happy to see small glimpses of her here and there on social media - Jenna you are such a light
Catherine Ochoa Presumably the coke or whatever drug they were doing stuck to the vaseline so they were probably mad they couldnt get their fix or whatever
I've gotten my drink spiked with ghb a few years ago. Luckily I was in a bar where some friends work so they knew I wasn't drunk, and they managed to find the friends I was with so nothing bad happened to me. The only thing I remember is being outside the bar with one of the bar staff waiting for my friends to take me home. Take care of your drinks, people!
Stefanie K Definitely. I agree with you 100%, and I'm sorry you had to go through such a horrible experience. I can't even imagine, I hope you're healing well. There are some really fucked up people out there 😕
a friend of mine had her drink spiked recently and we all thought she was just super drunk until the medical report came in. shit's scary. that story sounds like that woman might've been drugged, too. good thing you stepped in
I take on the same responsibility as Jenna does when I see a drunk girl alone! I can't walk away, as a woman, knowing something terrible might happen to that person. On another note, I was very intoxicated at a club with my boyfriend and friends and he was holding our drinks. Of course, he didn't know the girl thing to do (hold your hand over your cup while walking through a crowded club to avoid anyone slipping anything into it) and held our glasses like normal. Someone slipped something into his drink and thankfully, he wasn't drunk so he noticed something after 2 sips. He turned his flashlight on and found white powder. Those 2 sips, made him so sick, and he said he could see light trails and everything was in slow motion. We told security and they said someone was either trying to drug me and got his drink or they were trying to knock him out so they could take his very intoxicated girlfriend. BE SAFE WHEN YOU GO OUT and take care of your fellow women (and men). People are such creeps!
Me: * Reads title * Jenna, do you mean "Life stories?" PS, I live in florida (Like 15 minutes away from one) and yes Mellow Mushroom is as good as you think!!!!!!
Natalie I live in TN and I fucking llloooooovveeee MM!!! Everytime my husband and I go out of town and theres a MM nearby, we ALWAYS eat it in the bed. Its a tradition 😂
If that lady WAS spiked by some awful person, and had to go to court etc. because of the indecent, she was probably terrified because she probably didn’t remember a thing and obviously was not something she would ever do. If that’s the case I hope it all worked out. And sorry for the couple, thankfully there are still good people out there that didn’t resort straight to violence back.
I'm glad there are people out there that will try to help someone that is out of their mind like that. I'm like 99% sure I got something slipped in my drink at a nsp/twrp concert. Luckily I had my boyfriend with me. I was drinking, but only had 3 drinks, one spent in the hour long merch line, and I wasn't even feeling it, and had eaten RIGHT before the concert. I remember nsp playing you spin me right round, and then I woke up to puke in my hair on my boyfriend's bed. He said I was speaking Japanese to him (took two years in highschool) and getting mad he didn't know what I was saying. I stained his car with puke, and he almost took me to the hospital because he was scared. I've never blacked out before or since, and have drank 3 times that much alcohol without blacking out. Its terrifying to think what would have happened without him there.
Same, I've been crying like an idiot over something stupid someone said to me 😞 and luckily this podcast was out(even though I couldn't concentrate or stop crying and had to rewatch the beginning lol). Hope you feel better! ☺️
I love you Jenna marbles !!!!! You are a blessing to the women around you. keeping a quite eye on every female that looks like they might need even just a little bit of help. Thank you!!!
I was drugged and assaulted once and if someone were to check in I probably would've been okay, thank you and all the people like you Jenna for caring about everyone! She could've been in a very scary situation, I know you're gone but you truly are a kind person. I wish the best for you
One time recently I went out to the lake on my friend’s yacht with a bunch of people and we were drinking having a good time when us girls decided that we wanted to go get on the very top of the yacht where you can lay out and tan or sometimes we go up there and dance. Well the way you get up/down from there is by climbing the huge windshield which is sloped so it can be tricky. My drunk friend and went to go walk down the windshield to get down but she accidentally spilt her drink down it which basically turned it into a water slide , her feet slipped out from under her and she landed on her butt and slid all the way down ,meanwhile her swimsuit bottoms got caught on the top trim of the windshield and ripped off so she slide down with no pants all the way down 😂😂😂Lmao I’m still dying laughing . The guys who were inside the yacht said that they just heard a loud BOOM and then see a bare ass sail down the windshield hahaha I’m still ded
I once watched helplessly as my boyfriend drunkenly hiccuped himself into consciousness from a dead sleep and then sat at the edge of the bed and peed for 2 and 1/2 minutes straight while arguing with me that he was in fact in the bathroom and I should stop laying on the counter and watching him.
my ex boy friend did that once got up got stuck in the corner by the door and just starts peeing in my damn bedroom hearing him pee woke me up from a dead sleep
Jenna and Julien could one of your podcasts be about vegetarianism/veganism, tips on how to maintain ideal body weight and not loosing too much muscle, how to not lack protein intake etc. Also, a couple of days ago a UA-camr with lots of following posted a revolting video of her eating a live baby octopus for views and some people defended her... I just feel like you guys can reach out to a huge audience platform and maybe educate us all a little bit, and cure the ignorance of some... I love you guys so much!!
An P as long as you eat enough calories you never need to worry about protein. you do need to worry about fiber though as an omni. vegan diets are healthy as fuck in every stage of life
I was on a family vacation and we were just driving along and all of the sudden at a red light some guy gets out of his car, pulls his pants down, yells and just shits in the middle of the road. There was a gas station not even 5 feet away but the poor guy just couldnt wait

My best drunk story comes from, where else, my freshman year in college. I was going to my very first sorority formal, sporting a GORGEOUS GLITTERY DRESS, and going on my very first dance date with a boi. Before we even got two shots in to that sweet sweet potato juice this boi was pullin me in for MY FIRST KISS. I had really only ever talked to him once but we was always sharing flirty looks in the dorm halls like u do and now I was planning a spring wedding. Onto the drunk part tho--I, being a bit of a cocky lil freshie, started bragging to my date about how I was such a heavy weight. Granted, I sort of am, it usually takes me 3x the amount of alcohol to get as drunk as my friends. But ladiez: NEVER BRAG TO A BOI ABOUT BEING A HEAVY WEIGHT. They see it as an instant challenge. The boi wasn't forcing alcohol onto me or anything, I was just as game as he was to test my limits. NINE WHOLE ASS SHOTS OF POTATO JUICE LATER and we're piling out of the uber and into my sorority and my friends are instantly sobering up upon seeing how drunk my ass was. When we got to the venue it was immediate shoving food and water down my mouth in an attempt to save my soul from being sent home. I chugged a whole ass glass of water. MISTAKE. God bless whoever chose a venue with private bathrooms bc if someone had seen me throwing up my little booty would be thrown in a taxi quicker than I was throwin down those shots. From the moment I stepped out of the bathroom, I WAS NO LONGER ADVENTUROUS EMMA. I WAS A TOP BITCH QUEEN AMAZON GODDESS AND I COULD NOT BE STOPPED. How my boi somehow managed to twirl my drunk ass around like I was some sort of Cinderella in a ballroom, I have no idea. I was wearing this little jacket blazer thingy AND I WAS WORKING IT LIKE BOB THE BUILDER shimmying it all over, twirling it in the air and shit. Honestly, this whole time I was dancing is kind of a blur in my memory. Most of what I remember is some sort of movie montage of pop music, colorful lights, laughing faces and a lot of the jacket. I also remember just the most euphoric feeling I've ever had in my life. It was quite literally the closest I have ever come to blacking without actually blacking out. I HAD TRANSCENDED MY PHYSICAL BEING AND REACHED MY FINAL FORM. Now I'm a senior, but the Legend of that night lives on. I'm not the most popular person but EVERYONE knows about that night. All you have to do is say the words "freshman" and "formal" and even people who weren't there begin raving about the jacket, laughing at how insane I was. As for the boi, we only lasted for a few months after that. On the day I decided to break up with him, he had A BOX OF EXPENSIVE CHOCOLATES SENT TO ME. I was freaking out about what to do with it when my friend takes it out of my hand, rips it open, pops a chocolate in her mouth and says "Break up with him." Anyways this was long and no one will read it but it's fun to reminisce
If y'all can get Olan Rogers on your podcast, PLEASE do. He's so hilarious and I feel like the banter and jokes between him and Julien would be life shatteringly funny.
For some reason I was thinking Olan Mills (like the photography place that used to be in k mart) and I was thinking, "is he still alive? Is that even a person?" And then it hit me.

Something similar happened to be at a very high-end hotel in Canada once. I was heading to the restaurant with my grandparents when a lady stumbled out of the bar attached to the restaurant and collapsed in front of the bathroom in the hallway. She wasn't being aggressive or anything, but she seemed clearly out of it, and my first thought was that she might have had her drink spiked because 1. it was kind of early to be drinking that much (around 4:30pm?), 2. if she'd come with her friends, nobody seemed to be watching her or looking out for her, and 3. I've seen different levels of drunk but somehow this just struck me as something...different? I was kind of preoccupied with looking after my very jetlagged and old grandparents who had flown out all the way from Asia for my graduation, so all I was able to do was call a waitress at the restaurant to check in on her while my grandparents kept an eye on her in the hallway...but I'm glad I did even that because the waitress later reported to me that the lady hadn't been drinking that much and she all of a sudden got very nauseous and dizzy. The most astonishing part of all this was that 2 other couples saw all of this go down and glanced at the collapsed woman but didn't do anything about it...
@@tionnebrown5317 The original comment got so long that I didn't really elaborate towards the end, but! We weren't inside the restaurant yet, we encountered this lady in the hallway on the way to the restaurant/bar. My grandparents stood and waited with her in the hallway while I went inside the restaurant to alert the waitress, but I also wanted to get my grandpa seated ASAP because he had a bad hip. I actually did end up going back out to the hallway after we had been seated to check on her but she wasn't where I'd seen her earlier-I learned later from the waitress that she went to a nearby bathroom and she was feeling better. Hope that clears things up :)

I used to be a bouncer at a nightclub and you see stuff like that all the time. I even saw a ‘mother of the group’ i.e. the sober one get like that so you immediately know there’s something wrong, sometimes it’s not even in a drink it could be anything from something on someone’s body, they could’ve sprayed something in the air. I don’t think you really can blame them in those situations. They literally aren’t themselves. My boss used to say ‘You just gotta blame the sky’.
Jenna is such a great storyteller! Lovely how you can take a wild story and open a discussion about coping with stressful interactions, its good to talk through situations like these and ways to handle them.

What if the mystery at the end for Jenna to solve was just an ad for Squarespace 😂
Julien's a hero for me too I love these guys so much
Also Brandon and Ashley are heroes.. Marlin is too since he a cop.. Please bring Marlin back we miss him
I think it's really interesting how you say you can't leave someone like that "as a woman", because I totally get it.
@Dr Robert is that actually a fact?
Love this Jenna. We need more girls looking at for girls like this.
The guy she thinks drugged her left town after he heard what happened.
chickthatisnormal HOW AWFUL! I can’t even imagine being in that situation. 😕

Samantha Synful Anti cocaine???

When Julien was talking about his best friend my heart broke dude... The way he smiled :(
Jenna I'm super glad you are that kind of person to help a messed up woman who's alone.
My left ear loved this podcast. Haha, lol.
Edit: Oh shit nvm fam, my headphones are just broken.

The first story you told. I bet you anything that she was drugged and wasn't compliant so he sent her on her way. Hence the "don't touch me" talk.
JENNA PLEASE MAKE A PODCAST WHERE YOU GUYS PLAY CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY!!!! PLEAAAASSE
Yesssssss!!!
Good idea

Ok but what you said at the end made no sense....

If that lady WAS spiked by some awful person, and had to go to court etc. because of the indecent, she was probably terrified because she probably didn’t remember a thing and obviously was not something she would ever do. If that’s the case I hope it all worked out.

I was freaking out about what to do with it when my friend takes it out of my hand, rips it open, pops a chocolate in her mouth and says "Break up with him."
Anyways this was long and no one will read it but it's fun to reminisce
Adventurous Emma I laughed to hard at this😂😂

I think your grandparents would’ve been fine if you just got up for a second to go check on her. But it’s a good thing you told the waitress

I'm so sorry for your loss Zena. I agree. May 7 babies are special. I may be a little partial because that's my husband but he's awful special to me.
My crackhead brother is not special...he was born 7th may.
I’m a May 9th bby... 🙏🏻 bless your grandma
I’m an EMT and patient’s I’ve had who had drugs slipped into their drink act wild. But that being said there are hundreds of things that could have happened. She could have even had a seizure and been postictal. Don’t judge her too harshly
Morgan Davis I've seen so many patients act all sorts of crazy in the emergency room. There's unfortunately no clear way to tell.
Morgan Davis i don’t think they are judging her, they are more concerned for her safety and it’s not like she was acting the best.
Also, a hypoglycemic patient can act like an intoxicated person!
Lol AEMT here and my mind went straight to stroke or hypoglycemic
Jenna is such a great storyteller! Lovely how you can take a wild story and open a discussion about coping with stressful interactions, its good to talk through situations like these and ways to handle them.
Jenna is a pure fantastic person. I have so much respect for her.
Honestly this is the best way to brighten my Monday! Thanks guys! :D
lmao jenna's boston story abt everyone fighting outside is literally britain/england, like we're notorius for being these rowdy drunkards that every hates
so true i live in the uk and people literally go out to fight!
Hahaha I’m from Liverpool. I go to the shop an see a fight 😂😂😂
can also confirm 😂
I’m sure no one would read this but the women in the first story was probably drugged ): my mom one time had one drink spiked with who knows what and she turned very angry and crazy and the next day had no memory of it. We knew she wasn’t drunk and it was very scary to see my mom that way. Be safe people.
Why do I laugh SO hard when Jenna calls marbles bob. He defintely gives bob vibes 😭
god damn god bless jenna for how she treats drunk girls ❤️
