You can actually trap him, and keep him running between two landmines or C4. What makes it difficult is he is actually pretty fast lol. Especially on the extreme difficulty. Funny thing is I think I read somewhere that this method is canon in how Snake defeats Raven. Raven's recklessness, and blasting everything in sight basically seals himself in leaving him only two exits which Snake promptly seals each off with C4 ;p

Snake ends up in the cell with the dead chief. I escape that cell, and go to the Heliport where I transport myself to the snowfield. Sniper Wolf's blood is there when I walk to where she was killed, I then walk to the communication tower, go inside, and just turn around and go back out to the snowfield. I take a few steps north and Snake is somehow shot by a very much alive Sniper Wolf. I'm like, damn she was already killed, so how can she come back from the dead? lol! I was always yelling at my sister for her screaming during a scene of a horror movie. I would say, it's just a disc, how can it hurt you? But you are correct. This part of the game scares me. The only other game that made me jump and hit my head on the ceiling was Resident Evil 2. When that licker breaks through the window. I don't dare letting her play that one!
The ironic thing about this, is that despite being underrated he is still one of the best boss characters in all of gaming, which only goes to show just how awesome the entourage of baddies are in this game. Even Decoy Octopus' role is brilliant due to the twist in his introduction and conclusion.

The boss fights were epic. The dialogue was functional, but pretty damn cheesy. I enjoyed it, but to call it anything near Oscar-worthy is either a massive stretch or sarcasm.
From a gameplay perspective, this is probably the best boss fight in the game. There's multiple ways of dealing with him, but he's not a push over who exactly let's it happen. Your whole arsenal has use and when you run out of ammo for one method you can swap to another, rather than one singular strategy from one designated weapon.

What a fucking voice, as far as i know all the voice actors from this game are alive and well, they need to do the remake before it is too late and we lose someone as i suspect some are getting up there in age..... every character's performance is a masterpiece. Greg Eagles as Gray Fox being a standout, i've never heard anything like that character's voice, it's something else. Whoever voiced Gray Fox in the Twin Snakes didn't even come close to doing that original voice justice.
yeah, gray fox was the biggest butchering of a VA ive heard in a long time. The guy in twin snakes couldn't voice a children's cereal commercial properly xD Cam Clarke is still perfect and I know Hayter can do MGS1 Snake voice, as he did it in the anniversary codec calls once. But someone would need to respectfully advise Hayter not to overdo the Snake voice like he did in MGS2.
The voice actor Allan Lurie who had the voice as Kenneth Baker passed in 2005. John Cygan who had the voice as Solidus Snake in MGS2 also passed in 2017. Great voice actors all of them. Legendary games. ✌️💫
It's amazing how many people don't realize crows kaw and ravens go 'rok' 'rok'. Ravens are less gang-oriented as crows. This makes me cringe today knowing the massive difference between the two behaviour-wise too and physically.
I liked that they changed the boss fight music from "duel" to "encounter" for the most of the boss fights in this game for the PC version. "Duel" was fitting for Ocelot and MG Rex. But the rest of them, "Encounter" was so much better in my opinion.
Ok, I did not hallucinate then. I'm replaying the game via the GOG version and all boss fight's musics use the Encounter theme where I was used to hear the Duel theme. Honestly, I prefer the original layout of the PSX music themes.

I've noticed in some versions like this one, "Encounter" plays in boss fights instead of "Duel", which is disappointing.
