Curiosity: Solid Snake didn't die after MGS4, that was Irosquis Pliskin disguising himself as Old Snake while the real one was in a coma after smoking 500 cigarettes.
The problem with Timeline issues, is that Fox was the one who found Naomi, and was the highest ranking member of FOXHOUND, which Big Boss started. If V woke up in 1984, and Naomi was picked up by her Adoptive Brother Sometime in the 1980s, if Fox was V, then Fox needed to either be not-comatose to pick up his sister, or gave up the title of Big Boss Shortly after Phantom Pain, got surgery to un Big-Bossify himself, in order to get Naomi. Also as the Timeline does match up for everyone but V to the real world, The Rhodesian Bush War, the Civil War in which Naomi's Parents died by Frank Jaeger's Hands, was between 1964 and 1979. Naomi is supposed to be in her 30s in MGS and 40s in MGS4, meaning she'd be born mid 1970s. But this is a Moot point, as the MGS4 TImeline lists Naomi's parents as murdered by Frank Jaeger in 1979, 4 years into the Coma, and 5 years before the reawakening. Then, the MGS4 Database, agrees with the Codec call in MG2 Solid Snake, that the Big Boss has a Missing Right Arm, Right Eye and Feet that were replaced with Cybernetics. but in MGS4 itself, When Big Boss stops Old Snake from ending the Foxdie Threat, he has None of the Cybernetics. Now if he had grafted Solidus' arms and Legs that answers it, but I think there's a different error here. Also... The Fox is V theory breaks down even further. Snake in MGS4 states he trained CQC with Big Boss, and in MGS1 he says that Fox helped him alot in FOXHOUND. The Reason Fox goes back to Big Boss is because Unlike NATO who bombed Outer Heaven to ash, Big Boss came back and dug out Frank and all his surviving Soldiers. It's the same reason that Madnar defected to Big Boss's side too. Before Big Boss came out of the wood work to save who he could, he was the LEADER of FOXHOUND until 1972, coming back to lead in 1992, until 1995 when he sent Rookie Solid Snake to infiltrate Outer Heaven. Now, if the Shadow Moses Incident could teach us anything. The Leader of FOXHOUND Operations would be in a Command Ship located -Near- the Operation Zone (Roy, Naomi and Mei Ling were all on the Vessel that launched Snake to Shadow Moses.) This means that The Real Big Boss was likely near by before he snuck out, letting his double, who was leading the operation while he was grooming FOXHOUND to fail, take the fall by accident. He arrived too late, saving everyone from the bombed out craters, taking them to Zanzibarland. All of this set up to ask this: If Fox was V, then who was leading Outer Heaven while both Big Boss and Gray Fox were training Snake, during the short 3 years prior to the Outer Heaven Uprising? The Dr. Clark death time changing is something that is very easily explained by the story itself. Not only has Naomi lied to get into her position, lied to get her FoxDIE into Solid Snake, and lied to literally everyone she can in MGS4 so she could kill herself with Vamp, so she's already an unreliable narrator. But if her timeline is "Accepted Truth," the faked Death of Dr. Clark can certainly be attributed to the Patriots hiding her. Her actual death, with escape by Fox, being the same year as the Shadow Moses Incident makes way more sense, as what was Fox doing in those two years? You know, the man who was driven insane by the drugs and the pain into causing huge body counts pretty much everywhere he goes? The Passport issue is.... Childish? "The Fake Passport has an incorrect date on it!" Of COURSE it does. That's how FAKES work. And why would they not use a Date Stamp that is during the Coma, causing the people looking at his FAKE PASSPORT to not look at him twice, because the dates don't match up to someone who was Comatose during that time. At that point in time, His Fake Passport was a collaborative Effort of Mr. Quintuple Agent Revolver Adamska Shalasaska Ocelot, Mr I haven't told a single goddamn truth Master Kaz Kazuhiro Miller, and the creator of Cipher Mr. Null Zero... Who here actually believed -any- information that was listed on it? If so, I got a special oil here that will make you immortal. One vial only, enough for one person, price is $500,000 USD.
As explained in the video, Naomi says she was found in the 1980's, not 1979. MGSV raises numerous questions on Venom's identity, and the coma itself... We don't know what happened before 1984, or after TPP, and that would still fall under the 1980's. The Big Boss cybernetics part is obviously explained by the Real Big Boss not being the one who fell in Outer Heaven, hence why he'd never have those cybernetics in MGS4. If the rumor Kasler mentioned was true, Venom would have been the one reawakened by Madnar and the one with those cybernetics, hence why Venom would be alive after Outer Heaven, shifting back to his identity as Fox afer those events. Frank was never involved in the Outer Heaven bombings, he disappeared soon after Snake rescued him, as explained in the video. I'm afraid you're mistaken about Snake being trained by both Big Boss and Frank before Outer Heaven. Snake meets Fox for the first time during the Outer Heaven incident. "I first met him on the battlefield. He was being held a prisoner of Outer Heaven, but he didn't look like a prisoner to me." With regards to Dr. Clark's death... Agreed, Fox killing her in 2005 (same year as Shadow Moses) would make more sense plot-wise, and yes Naomi could have lied (as we said in the video), but that is based on assumption, not confirmation, and the question we should all be asking is why did they actually change that lore for MGSV? The passport was never said to be fake. It's supposed to represent Venom's passport, hence our argument of either the passport being falsified, or that all is not as it seems. A fake passport doesn't only come with a fake stamp, it would have everything fake, including birth place, DOB, and identity.
my 2 cents is that the ocelot part where he talks about the hallucinations happened, but not there in paz's room, the player is transposing the event happened in another location it's very plausible for someone with multiple personalities to even confuse time itself, losing track of it, which makes sense since we literally pass the time smoking an electric cigar for hours on end without even moving
As per usual, this channel has some of the highest production quality of any channel on UA-cam. So well written, researched and presented. Please never stop covering MGS and Kojima - you’re a major part of the fun!!!
In my opinion Venom snakes combat ability is what sets him apart As most likely Being gray fox Because for anybody else in the metal gear solid universe Aside for big boss and his sons and ocelot Gray fox is the only Other character on par with them in terms of combat ability Hence why Venom snake was so successful in the 80s IMO
My big issue is the pose Venom is doing is not the same as Fox's. Its similar, but if they're trying to make you connect the two they'd have the correct finger placements. Its clearly making a V with his fingers for obvious reasons.
@@dekchi8781Just like covering his face with og solid snakes in ground zeroes maybe seeing the white eye staring you back would be too obvious. He goes ham with the sword fighting skulls too this is just too good

I really believe that all of this is the hidden truth that Kojima buried in several layers of misinformation. I believe that the name Frank is another literary reference, this time to Frankenstein (another one to add to 1984 & Moby Dick). I believe that the "Head swap" doctor's theories have something to do with all of this. I think that in this case, Frank is Frankenstein (from Fox), where more than one soldier served as the composition of his identity(I don't think they have to use bodies to do that, only the memories). The young man who appears in the beta image in Rhodesia with the dog may be one of the soldiers and the doctor another one. By creating a third identity and personality, the two layers below would make it much more difficult for Frank (whoever he was) to discover who he really was "in the first place". As a result, personalities and memories function as layers of protection. When one "layer" is broken, the other comes into "action" until they can reprogram Venom (as many times as necessary, matryoska doll style). In the end, I really hope that we can still see Kojima's return and the saga being put back on track and maybe with that, we can discover the intention of this whole "tangle". The video was wonderful as always! Merry Christmas PythonSelkan! May 2025 give us more games, videos and amazing theories! Much love from Brazil! =D
I don't think for a second that Grey Fox and Venom Snake are the same, but they are very similar people in both becoming tools for Big Boss, as people with a past that no longer exists and in a perpetual war until their end.
@chewy99. I commented after watching the whole thing and I remain unconvinced. I don't see how Fox could be Venom Snake. Even officially, the guide in the Master Collection states that Venom Snake died in Outer Heaven.
@@samuelantoniocastillomeza5034 Venom snake did die in outer heaven, that persona would never occur again after that day. It’s confirmed in multiple sources that Dr.Madnar in the snatcher project saved big boss after the original metal gear and replaced many parts of his body. Thus, venom was killed, and grey Fox was saved. All of this is said in the video.
@@chewy99. I rewatched to get what you say and, no. Comes across as a retcon for me. I think some parts can be worked into the lore but others seem like oversights for me. I think Fox and Venom are totally different people in different bodies and different background.
The snatcher project carried out by Dr.Madnar to save and restore venom snake after the outer heaven incident was also detailed in the mgs4 lore book. I remember that from another of your old videos. This theory really ties many loose threads like that together.
The simple fact that this video analysis focused on Punished "Venom" Snake's true identity mistery in Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain doesn't make any mention of Ricardo "Chico" Valenciano Libre - Young volunteer in Snake's private army 8:58 once may also cause some "conflicts" of massive magnitude with the viewer's "internal timeline" "for a special reason."
@@liquidtruth7954The scene between Ocelot and Ishmael happened almost three hours after Ocelot and Ahab escaped Cyprus. So, in theory, Ocelot was in two places at the same time. The cassette tapes (the conversation between Ocelot and the "real" Big Boss) explicitly says Ocelot was in Cyprus and ordered to wake up the Phantom, but that was not the case when Venom woke. The nurse almost suffers a hearth attack (she wasn't aware Venom was about to wake up) and runs to call Ocelot to give him the secret code that communicates that he is awake. (Unnecessary, if he is already there.) A little clue: The reason Venom awakes is not because Ocelot ordered it so he could serve as the Phantom, but because of the plane that crashed with the Third Child. The Third Child feels Big Boss presence. Who is the Third Child after during the whole game? Not the guy in the motorcycle.

What a great gift! I've been waiting for this video for months, and of course, you guys didn't disappoint! Merry Christmas to you, and all of your fans!
As I said almost 10 years ago, you guys are responsible for the changes in MGS V, you released the video theory before the release of the game, Kojima saw it and completely panicked and changed everything, then he was fired, and the game was never completed
lol Kojima challenge people to go through the theory. He was a Mastermind of deceiving people that's why he enjoyed watching theories on his own game. He told people to challenge him to get to the truth. You been holding this grudge for 10 years grow up.
@@NeddyShin bro you didn't understood the sarcasm, I've been repeating this same joke every time I get the opportunity, as it would be extremely hilarious if this was actually what happened to the game
Grey Fox is one of my all time favorite characters, he's just so fucking cool man. When I was thirteen I remember watching the scene where he cuts off Ocelot's arm and the freaks out... His scream freaked the shit out of me. To this day that scream brings tears to my eyes. Then after you fight him in hand to hand combat and he starts smashing his head on the floor saying 'I'm loosing myself'... Such a flipped out scene man. There was so much mystery surrounding that character. I always wished they'd make a game purely about him. Which I guess they did! But I mean in his 'current' state... You know, with the exoskeleton... Maybe like when he first get's equipped with it or something. Awesome video!! Merry Christmas!
I replayed all the MG and MGS games again recently and I played it with this in mind. It is absolutely plausible and possible. I'm a beliver of this theory.
I love the theory, and I can see how it's possible that Venom is Gray Fox... But my only question is then; If Grey Fox is Venom, and supporting Big Boss during the time of MG1 and MG2, then why is Gray Fox helping Solid Snake at the end of MGS1?
Thanks for the feedback! 🙂 Gray Fox was loyal to Big Boss until the end, but he also helped Snake not just in MGS1, but even during MG2: SS (despite being enemies). He was basically performing a double agent role, after all, Miller did say he'd help the phantom and his sons take revenge on Big Boss, so Fox being the phantom (Venom), would explain why.
I like this theory a lot actually. Being that i was born in 1995 so my 1st time playing mgs was mgs1 on ps1 & not the OG mg1 & mg2sn. Pretty much sums up that fox was the 1st clone of big boss through memory manipulation than genetic cloning. Great video & Merry Christmas MGS fans!
You were half right 10 years ago, Venom definitely wasn't the real Big Boss but he isn't Gray Fox either. Venom dies in Metal Gear. The age doesn't match for him being Gray Fox neither does canon events like the stuff in Rhodesia. The contradictory lore is to much. I much prefer the fan made ending to mgs v, "the last day in outer heaven". He dies so Big Boss can live on in Zanzibar Land acting as a decoy till the very end.
The problem is that Venom not being Gray Fox raises much more lore problems than him being Fox, as explained in this video. We suggest watching the video in its entirety, as everything you mentioned is addressed.
@@PythonSelkan not really, its about as ridiculous as saying Naomi is Venom Snake. The 2 are separate characters with vastly different backstories, Gray fox has both of his eyes in metal gear 2 solid snake. Gray Fox was also a prisoner in lore during metal gear. It causes more problems then it solves having Gray fox as Venom. Theres not much issue having the Medic as Venom. Hes supposed to be us the player, we're Big Boss is the message kojima was going for not Gray Fox.
@@PythonSelkan him having both eyes in MG 2 is throwing me off either way this made me interested to know more about decoy octopus, he seems to be a renown veteran too but i dont remember anything great he did?
One like is not enough ! Asked some friends to like also ! What a great analysis ! Thank you for you constant efforts. You are adding value to this incredible franchise. 👍❤️
I've been following you since 2013. Congratulations PythonSelkan brothers. I suggest you to do Esoteric analysis of Kojima's games, they have a high subliminal load and Predictive programming (MGS2: Social Engineering. MGSV/Death Stranding: Pandemic). Greetings from Perú 🇵🇪
That would be crazy! Kinda weird, but definitely something we’ve been waiting for. I definitely don’t think that’s gonna happen lol though if it does the community would explode… heck, maybe that’s why it’s taking them so long to make.
If there is one thing I've learned over the years with Kojima's games, almost nothing is accidental, and everything is deliberate. Unless specifically stated otherwise to be a retcon.
You guys got me dude wtf. I've doubted this theory for the longest time and was surprised to learn this was the video so long in the making but by the end of it I'm convinced
exept it was made for the deja vu mission like the mgs1 solid snake skin, and the raiden skin in the jamais vu mission, all of these skins were added to V, now is venom grey fox? raiden? solid snake?
Wow this video was worth the wait... Simply one of the best theories you guys have ever done as it actually does make sense from a lore and time line sense even if some parts seem off the whole logic of how and when and why can be explained with just research and seeing the truth between the lies. The whole switcheroo plot has been done multiple times before in the series and as we know Kojima is huge movie fan too so alot of this is probably already canon and what he intended from the beginning maybe its been the objective all along to bring the series to a close. Maybe after 9 years you have solved the biggest mystery of mgs v who Venom Snake truly was and not only answers the two big boss thing but where Gray Fox was during that 9 year coma if Null was the medic, as he never knew himself 2+2 = V after all, V has come too maybe V is been the magic number after all in that is the case he's the only man to have been both A Snake as Big Boss Phantom and his best soldier as in Fox hound rank. IF Venom was Fox he already had exceptional skills and was a killer and if it was him blown to hell at the end of MG1 and reconstructed by Doctor Madnar cybernetically it would explain how Fox would go onto earn the Rank of Fox being cybernetically altered would grant him super human abilities and endurance well above the average soldier even above Big Boss himself and he would have survived the mine fight in mg2 also had further reconstructed n experimented on. I have always thought The image of Venoms hand pose and Cyborg Ninjas hand pose can't be coincidence either but maybe it's been hinting at the 2 +2 = V motive as the fingers seem to correspond to the big brother reference. Also if it's true it would make venom snake even more important than just a phantom of big boss it would make him a legend in the story as a whole as Cyborg Ninja was so cool and mysterious we never really knew who he truly was. If this video gets a like or acknowledgment from Kojima himself then you can be sure it's true or as elements of truth as I think that he doesn't do coincidence he has purposefully made mgsv to be left to our interpretation as players and gamers hence the ending of course we never got mission 51 and a true ending to it but this interpretation means Venom is much more important character than we ever thought he was. :)
This theory doesn't line up with Fox's lore at all. All of this falls flat because we know for a fact what Fox was doing during Venom's coma. Ground Zeros takes place in the year 1975. Venom wakes up in the year 1984. Grey Fox fought in the Rhodesian Civil War, which is where he would game end Naomi's parents and would eventually adopt her as a sister. He fought in this war during the late 1970s. This makes sense because Naomi is Rhodesian and was also born in the 70's. The issue is this timeline doesn't line up with Venom's coma. After the war he joins Big Boss in Mozambique during the 80's. This is happening while Venom is building Outer Heaven. The final nail in the coffin is the end credits outright say BB's Phantom is killed by Solid Snake during the Outer Heaven incident in 1995. Grey Fox did not die in the Outer Heaven Incident. In fact, he survived and went on to be present during the Zanzibar incident in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. In MG2, he was defeated in a mine field. His body would then be recovered and cyberized like he is in Metal Gear Solid 1.
Exactly this is to much and is false information, right about Venom not being Big Boss but wrong on him being Gray Fox this was settled with the release of mgs v 10 years ago
@@xenoplayz4524 Pretty much. The dude's argument is based on retconning statements or just flat out ignoring the established timeline presented by the series. MGS5's ending flat out disproves any argument for this theory.
I don't know if this is worse than Raiden being Gray Fox. But it's up there. Especially because Gray Fox is the best in FOXHOUND and Venom was the best in MSF.
Wonderful video! Amazing as always. I have a proposal as I'm seeing a lot of people disagreeing with the theory, is it posible to make a video with a condensed timeline of Fox? That would help to put into perspective the facts that people are ignoring when trying to discredit your theory.
Dude i remember the day you released that video all those years ago and I immediately called my bro who was in the army and just yelled over the phone "they played us like a damn fiddle" you guys were the first to theorize that grey fox was venom before ANYONE . (for anyone wondering I hung up on him with no context or explanation just the mad ravings of a MGS fan)
MGSV takes place before the first Metal Gear right? so heres the problem: if the Big Boss we kill in the original Metal Gear (MSX) is Venom (wich is what the story implies) then this theory doesnt work at all. In Metal Gear 2 we fight Gray Fox in his pre cyborg form and he looks nothing like Big Boss. Fox became a soldier under the real big boss off screen while Venom was doing his own thing. later in MGS 1 Fox dies again as a cyborg. for good this time. and the real Big Boss comes back at the end of MGS4. they cant be the same man.
yea the only thing that santa couldn't give me but PythonSelkan could a metal gear solid video from the legend himself lol have a nice holiday and happy new year
Here's something people are failing to realize. The whole coma argument should only apply to Big Boss. In portable ops Gray Fox always had his memory reset so who is to say Fox was ever in any coma at all given the fact his memories were constantly reset. Like PythonSelkan said, "Venom is the most unreliable narrator in the series." Fox easily could have been in several other missions given the nature of his brainwashing and memory resetting. Fitting certain roles without any knowledge of anything previously happening.
Diamond Dogs is my personal favorite, he tries not to kill unlike john does. Venom taught us to use our heads. Anyone can hold a weapon. We trained like snakes, but as kaz said.."But better."
I’ve had this suspicion ever since I learned about how Hideo Kojima very badly wanted PlatinumGames (RIP) to make Metal Gear Rising 2 starring Grey Fox in a scenario suspiciously like Metal Gear Survive. They obviously declined because they only wanted to make games with Raiden, so it never went forward. I always figured that Kojima wanted to do more with the character but never got the chance due to his firing during production of Silent Hills and MGS V’s missing chapter(s). With MGS V possibly opening up the doors for more spin-offs before MGS 1 and MGR setting up potential for more games after MGS 4…perhaps he COULD’VE pursued this Venom Snake = Grey Fox prequel game idea or even his planned spin-off starring Cobra Unit depicting The Boss/The Joy’s origin story during WW2
Venom snake has a white in 1984, but Gray Fox’s picture in metal gear 2: solid snake depicts him with both of his eyes being normal which obviously takes place after
I find it hard to believe any of this…but I do theorize that the real Big Boss and Venom are no longer working together by 1995. And Operation Intrude was BB sending Solid to just assassinate Venom and get out, so BB could take over Outer Heaven for himself from the rogue Venom. But Solid “goes too far” by discovering BB's plans to attack the West in order to destroy Cipher/The Patriots.
I dunno. Kojima ruined MGS2 in MGS4. Where they outright stated that the real Colonel was involved with Raiden in The Big Shell incident instead of Raiden never meeting Colonel once in his life. Not only is it a retcon, it ruins the story of Raiden in MGS2 and breaks the lore since it outright changes the plot twist. I think Kojima started losing part of his edge once he became too popular and powerful where people wouldn't question him or risk getting fired or worse blacklisted, like the English localizer for MGS1. Great theory and I do believe it is true. Although I always thought Cyborg Ninja and Gray Fox were different people but this fits very well. I made a few MGS theories as well if you have the time to check it out sir. Merry Christmas to you :)
Reading and listening to the great musical choices from MGS was what made these theory videos great over the years. I don't prefer the commentary, but that's just me.
Guys, after this video I'm even doubting kojima going away from konami. He orchestrated the whole thing and after a while he'll come back to konami. Kojima production's logo is the same as Outer Heaven. Now that the new metal gear has been announced, perhaps he'll come back as the one and only big boss
This is exactly what I didn't know I wanted but absolutely needed for Christmas: Vindication that what I've been speculating for the past five years is very likely true. I'm not nearly a P&S level Metal Gear scholar, but I'm getting there! ...very slowly, but getting there! Maybe I'll reach P&S levels after a decade or two, lol.
Sometimes I just think people make mistakes and/or retcon their work. I'm not dismissing any of this. I just think even Kojima doesn't think of every detail and how it interferes with the timeline, etc. I definitely enjoyed the video, though. Your attention to detail is commendable. Also, I assumed Venom was killed by Solid Snake in the first Metal Gear. I haven't played those first two games but I know that Snake thinks he's killed Big Boss in the first one but it's an imposter. Sounds like Venom...
Having been a former Government Contractor, Security Advisor/Supervisor and Reconnaissance and Surveillance Specialist prior to My work alongside Law Enforcement and the Department of Conservation, I can summarize this entire plausible theory, the whole MGS timeline and the speculation here in a quote I once heard and it's true, "There is no truth, only the lies You choose to believe".
1. Kojima loves throwbacks, it doesn't make two distinct characters with established backstories the same person just because they do a pose or have a feature. 2. Big Boss absolutely could have just shown up to help people after Outer Heaven fell. He knew the survivors would likely be loyal and grateful after such a betrayal by NATO, no need to worry about his ruse being blown by those people. In fact, it creates immense loyalty from even former enemies of Big Boss. 3. Timeline doesn't match, age doesn't match. MGSV tells us exactly what happens to Venom Snake and exactly when, and both Gray Fox and the true Big Boss appear in later games.

Agreed! @@emmanuelnava9690
This comment is the Kojima-cut scene of comments
He was being held a prisoner of Outer Heaven, but he didn't look like a prisoner to me."
With regards to Dr.
Gotta say, you're good at discrediting stuff and stopping discussion, "hey if you believed any of this u dumb" basically.
my 2 cents is that the ocelot part where he talks about the hallucinations happened, but not there in paz's room, the player is transposing the event happened in another location
it's very plausible for someone with multiple personalities to even confuse time itself, losing track of it, which makes sense since we literally pass the time smoking an electric cigar for hours on end without even moving
As per usual, this channel has some of the highest production quality of any channel on UA-cam. So well written, researched and presented. Please never stop covering MGS and Kojima - you’re a major part of the fun!!!
Merry Christmas to the real Big Boss and Venom Snake.
I'm Big Boss. And you are too.
Carry that with you wherever you go.
I've waited 9 years for this answer.
In my opinion if the hand positioning was exactly the same it would be too obvious
@@dekchi8781Yeah I went through the same train of thought
@@dekchi8781Just like covering his face with og solid snakes in ground zeroes maybe seeing the white eye staring you back would be too obvious. He goes ham with the sword fighting skulls too this is just too good
Venom snake is definitely the most enigmatic character ever in video game history.

Not by a long shot.
i think duke from resident evil village is a more mysterious character
Hahahha the most “mute” maybe, and the least charismatic

Did you watch the whole video yet? Do you just not like the idea, or is there a certain reason you can’t think that they are one?
Merry christmas Python and Selkan!
Happy holidays everyone, may MGS lives on forever
The simple fact that this video analysis focused on Punished "Venom" Snake's true identity mistery in Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain doesn't make any mention of Ricardo "Chico" Valenciano Libre - Young volunteer in Snake's private army 8:58 once may also cause some "conflicts" of massive magnitude with the viewer's "internal timeline" "for a special reason."
Get out.
Seriously get out.

I've always thought that Venom Snake was Gray Fox from the start.
No you didn't

Yeah, the only thing that was off was the timeline.
Kojima tricked everyone. In 2024, there are still people who think the guy in the motorcycle was the real Big Boss. As Zero predicted.
It wasnt?
@@ahsiun2778Remember Zero's plan: No one would ever doubt he is the real Big Boss. He would share all his memories on record. Venom is amnesic.

(Unnecessary, if he is already there.)
A little clue: The reason Venom awakes is not because Ocelot ordered it so he could serve as the Phantom, but because of the plane that crashed with the Third Child.

Massive drop! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year PythonSelkan!
PythonSelkan releases a new vid...now its xmas!! Truly awe inspiring guys!!
1:10:26 this practically confirms it and is probably the strongest piece of evidence in favor of this theory.
If this is really the case, who is the second big boss that Snake defeats in Metal Gear 2?
Yeah??
NANOMACHINES
Plot twist: He was fighting the real Gray Fox😂
That would still be the real Big Boss, you mean Metal Gear 1
Yeah, exactly. This theory makes no sense.
Santa Claus delivered this present for all good boys and girls
@@PythonSelkan him having both eyes in MG 2 is throwing me off

What a great Christmas gift! Thank you!
You guys got me dude wtf. I've doubted this theory for the longest time and was surprised to learn this was the video so long in the making but by the end of it I'm convinced
The fact that you can use the gray fox skin in mgsv is the biggest give away.
exept it was made for the deja vu mission like the mgs1 solid snake skin, and the raiden skin in the jamais vu mission, all of these skins were added to V, now is venom grey fox? raiden? solid snake?
@ak-qd2jk Raiden? Is that really a question? 😂
@ak-qd2jk Timeline wise grey fox makes sense. Because venom snake could have been resurrected as the Cyborg Ninja after he was killed by solid snake.
@@omegaking150 my thoughts too dude
Merry Christmas, Boss. 🎄
Explained at 20:32
Exactly this is to much and is false information, right about Venom not being Big Boss but wrong on him being Gray Fox this was settled with the release of mgs v 10 years ago
What if, what if Venom snake was a clone of grey fox 😮
@@Bbimsoundrgrnd Quite literally doesn't change anything I said
@@xenoplayz4524 Pretty much. The dude's argument is based on retconning statements or just flat out ignoring the established timeline presented by the series. MGS5's ending flat out disproves any argument for this theory.
My head canon was that MGS: Twin Snakes was the simulation Raiden used. Would make sense of the backflip off a missile scene. 😅
I headcanon it as Otacon's retelling of the story (you know, him being a huge weeb and stuff)
@ lol Yeah that would definitely fit 😄
Is this the greatest video in solid hideo lore!
Finally It's here, Merry christmas
AHHH! WHEN IS HIDEO COMING WITH HIS MAGNUM OPUS!? THE PAIN!
How did you already know the "damn fiddle" line when GZ released almost a year after Python's video?
We appreciate your effort❤❤
This game looks more like a modern AAA game than actual modern AAA games.
Fox became a soldier under the real big boss off screen while Venom was doing his own thing. later in MGS 1 Fox dies again as a cyborg. for good this time. and the real Big Boss comes back at the end of MGS4. they cant be the same man.
yea the only thing that santa couldn't give me but PythonSelkan could a metal gear solid video from the legend himself lol have a nice holiday and happy new year
Hey, You're pretty good!
Here we go 🔥
OMG ITS HERE
Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the late Christmas gift 🎁🎉❤
Here's something people are failing to realize. The whole coma argument should only apply to Big Boss.
In portable ops Gray Fox always had his memory reset so who is to say Fox was ever in any coma at all given the fact his memories were constantly reset. Like PythonSelkan said, "Venom is the most unreliable narrator in the series."
Fox easily could have been in several other missions given the nature of his brainwashing and memory resetting. Fitting certain roles without any knowledge of anything previously happening.
This would make MGSV so much better, as well as the the orignal Metal Gear games
Diamond Dogs is my personal favorite, he tries not to kill unlike john does. Venom taught us to use our heads. Anyone can hold a weapon. We trained like snakes, but as kaz said.."But better."
Goddamn good... The legend is back!
YES! I was hoping for a drop from you guys today! Didn't really get anything for Christmas but this makes up for it!
This leaves me speechless, I live metal gear, so I have to agree with this theory.....YOUR PRETTY GOOD. 😎👉👉
This is perfection. Thanks
Venom snake has a white in 1984, but Gray Fox’s picture in metal gear 2: solid snake depicts him with both of his eyes being normal which obviously takes place after

Oh wow one and a half freaking hour wtf
Getting to Outer Heaven, thanks for answering my lingering question.

Merry Christmas everyone ❕📦
Great video! Thankyou sir!
Here we go again.
I remember all the discourse and discussion the original theory brought about on the metalgearsolid subreddit a decade ago.
This one feels pretty conclusive and really ties a lot together. I’m totally convinced.
I just posted about this there and boy it is not popular
Naomi and Fox's relation and timelines makes this not work
I find it hard to believe any of this…but I do theorize that the real Big Boss and Venom are no longer working together by 1995. And Operation Intrude was BB sending Solid to just assassinate Venom and get out, so BB could take over Outer Heaven for himself from the rogue Venom. But Solid “goes too far” by discovering BB's plans to attack the West in order to destroy Cipher/The Patriots.
So Venom Snake is a Medic, he is us the player and He is gray fox?
Holy Trinity - means Kojima is GOD
Great video!!
Thank you so much! 🙏
Low Roar - waiting ( 10 Years )
Kojima truly cooked with this game
Excellent video
🙏🙏
If you're asking questions, you're already on the right track 😉
I thought Venom snake was the big boss doppleganger from the zanzibar incident from the pre solid titles i cant remember which one
Pretty good
No more place to hide... Hideo Kojima 😄
FOX HOUND's dark little secret
You kept us waiting.
