This game did so many things that blew my mind as a kid. Psycho mantis reading my mind and memory card, ocelot knowing I tried cheating and using turbo, and otacon absolutely freaking me out telling me there were other ppl in this elevator. What an incredible game!
This part of the game made me crap my pant's I was like what the hell is Otacon talking about and next thing you know it, Solid Snake get's ambushed by 4-5 guards but knowing Solid Snake from previous Metal Gear Solid Titles he lives to fight another day.
A guy with an IQ of 180 can't be that dense. He controlled this convo, knowing the outcome . Unfortunately , to keep the players of this game in tune, they had to dumb down Snake in ways.
I think this was well done. Snake wouldn't know about the other stealth camos and codec calls essentially freeze time, allowing for them to spell everything out for the player. The acting was very well done too. The whole time you can pick up that Snake was thinking, "Don't fucking tell me they have the camos..." as if he already pieced it together.
Yeah I’m ngl, I finished replaying this game a week ago, snake kinda went in blindly, barely knowing anything, it’s like he didn’t question anything that was ‘briefed’ to him, foxdie for example
@@TBrizzle01 this is like an inverted example of dramatic irony, where the character knows something the Audience does not, or by piecing it together by listening to the tone of his voice, figures out halfway through the cut scene

You know the situation is serious when Otocon’s face stretches across his screen unlike anything we’ve seen in the game
Now that I think about it, this scene is a bit of a callback to the “Four Horsemen” boss we had in Metal Gear 2z
