Yeah its bowens mount so any bowens mount softbox will fit. It's just like the big massive ones with their weight I wouldn't be convince it could hold them. But it should be able to hold that size
I've purchased a 200x yesterday as well, along with a 100x and a 60d. I'll check mine as well for fan noise, but I guess some fan noise is normal in such compact package when cooling a 200W (250W of real power consumption) COB. That's plenty of heat to be dissipated and also it depends at what power you use it and ambient temperature.
Hi Mark, thanks for a great video! Have you had any luck disassembling your octodome? I'm in the same boat, I can't seem to figure out how to break it down. I'm starting to think it's a design fault...?
@@MarkDuffyPhotography Haha no problem. Yes you're right, there are loads of similar softboxes with an identical design but none that I've come across that are as impossible to disassemble as this one
You suppose to pull the rods from the outside of the octadome at first, it is in the manual. It is still not easy task, but in this order it is not impossible. And one big benefit of this softbox: after a few months of regular use for client work your forearms will be fitest across all videographers in your area😊
I have no idea what happened with that glitch at 6.52??
Informative and entertaining as always
Nice one thanks dude, as long as I can have it entertaining I'm happy out as I'm not as good as Gerald Undone for testing etc..
Is it safe to put a softbox 80c/31.5inch from godox for amaran 60D?

I hate rods. Every time I have to assemble a softbox it's pure pain! :D
I've still never taken any of them down 😂
Whaaaaa...? you just recieved the 200x & the fan is still a problem?? I thought they worked on the issue! Damn I unsure on my next purchase again...
Wasn't aware of any of this, I hadn't watched reviews about it before receiving the light but the fan noise is quite significant

Eh no, I've no intentions of taking it down. Loads of softboxes built this way, just cheaper I think

Always really enjoy your videos
Nice one thanks 😊
Love your honest account of products
Gotta be honest, the rods are tough
