Some of the best cymbals in my collection were found out by the street in people's garbage..no kidding. I found an old Zildjian 15" with rivets and an old Zenjian heavy15" hand hammered out by the road in somebody's trash. They were with an old 'MIJ' 4-piece drum set put out by the road for trash (!!). Paired them up to make a set of hi-hats and they are one of my best hi-hat sets. The drum kit I restored, played for a while then donated it to a local drum shop that donates percussion instruments to schools, etc. 'Payed it forward' but I just had to keep those cymbals.
