- Nissan e-NV200 electric vans have a common fault which results in the vehicle not going into part or being stuck in park. The corresponding warning message on the instrument cluster indicates a transmission (T/M) system malfunction, but the issue is actually very simple and easily fixed. Nissan has now issued an official recall relating to this problem. We recommend preventative maintenance to avoid owners of these vehicles being stranded. The required bush can be purchased at evsenhanced.com/product/nissa...
I was stuck on the roadside with this glitch, after watching this video 5 minutes later I was on my way. thank you for this movie.
You are a star buddy. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I have successfully replaced the bush and fault warning has cleared. There is another video by Go Green Autos which is totally useless, i have put a comment on his post redirecting people to watch yours. Thanks again.
Glad to hear that our video helped you out.
Good work guys
Splendid. Thank you for this!
No problem. Hopefully this helps out a bunch of e-NV owners.
Can you please elaborate on why it is best practice to disconnect the 12V battery in the ignition on, ready off state? I've always been taught that I should have the ignition off when disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery in ICEVs, HVs and EVs.
In all other respects, thank you for a helpful and informative video!
I was going to ask the same question. Surely the inverter is charging the 12V battery in this state?
@@GoGreenAutos Not sure i would actually bother to disconnect the battery, i don;'t see any safety concern here at all.
@@willdatsun Yes. Completely agree. But I'm still unsure why he recommends disconnecting the 12v battery with the ignition on.
Yes, it's very strange way to disconnect 12V battery as he suggested in this video. As in doing so you might trigger some fault codes. And I see no reason why they want to disconnect it in the first place, as this work does not involve playing with electrical stuff, only few plugs disconnected. But I guess they want to make sure there is no liability on their side if something goes wrong.
@@GoGreenAutos Inverter charges 12V battery only in Ready state. At least it does so in LEAF.
Thanks so much, i'm actually stuck in a supermarket parking. 🤣
No problem. Happy to help.
Great job thanks
No problem. We're happy to have helped lots of people with a cheap and simple fix for what may initially look like an expensive problem.
Thanks for this. Now that I changed it, I still have the error message on the screen. I use Leaf Spy Pro with OBD dongle to read and delete DTC message, but it doesnt work...how can I delete message on the screen please?
Hi! What is the first error means - U1561 - I have same error after reset each ride..
Do you have a part number we could use for searching for this part in the uk? The dhl postage is way too expensive. Is there another option you could offer for us in the uk or a company you would recommend?
Part number I got at my Nissan dealer in Norway was 344264-FA0A, cost 170NOK, so around 13GBP :)
Nissan also like replacing the entire cable, but if you pester them, they order the bush for you.
Could you please help diagnose this fault?
My E-NV200 has started making a loud clicking noise when allowing the regen to slow the car. It makes no noise when accelerating or coasting, or reversing. There are no fault codes either!!??
Have you come across this? It kinda sounds like the park detent is out of sequence and is trying to find its hole!!!!!!!
Perhaps a issue in the reduction drive or diff? We have also seen a very rare case where the motor stator was loose in its housing. It could also be something more simple like an axle nut coming loose.
hello, tell me what is the inner diameter of the rubber band 8 mm?
My car had the same problem.
I drilled a hole in the metal rod and cut an M4 thread into it. Then attach the black eyelet of the cable to the metal rod with a large washer and an M4 screw. This will probably hold up better than the original rubber sleeve.
I have this exact fault and error code, but I can still change gears, although the link near the motor doesn't move
We carry this bush in stock if you can't find one locally. evsenhanced.com/product/nissan-e-nv200-gear-selector-cable-bush/
@@EVsEnhanced It's $80 in total with delivery =(
@@dtrrider1 Yeah, minimum charges with DHL, make sending something so small pretty expensive. At least it is a backup option if you can't find one locally.
Is this the same issue that causes the t/m fault on the leaf
Hi. No the Leaf is completely different in this sense. Only the van has a shifter cable. The Leaf has a fully electric actuator to select park.
@@EVsEnhanced ah I see, what should I be looking for on the leaf? the 12v battery is new..
@@markymark8472 A T/M fault shown on the instrument cluster can be caused by a lot of things. The next step would be to read the DTCs (fault codes) through the OBD2 port with a diagnostics tool. There are plenty of professional diagnostics tools that can do this if you take the car to someone, but the cheapest way to do this yourself would be using LeafSpy Pro (must be the Pro version).
@@EVsEnhanced Hi and thankz for the video, I manged to to fix this problem by watching your video. Very happy indeed, my problem was exactly as in this video, the old bushing looked same as yours😃. I dont have a ODB scanner and was wondering if you could please tell which one you use with the LeafSpy app. I need to get rid of the warning lamp in the dash. Thanks.
@@NoName-pb8bc Hi. Good to hear that this helped you. Sorry, we don't sell OBD2 to Bluetooth adaptors and can't recommend any particular one to buy with known compatibility with LeafSpy.
