Denuvo Anti-Tamper CONFIRMED for Payday 3!

- DLC (and probably way too much of it)
- Season passes
- Multiple tiered editions of the game
i was really excited for this game, but looks like they shoved every thing I hate about modern gaming into this 1 package. it's only missing a battlepass. think ill pass on this game, not gonna support this shit

The game was already confirmed to be always online so adding denuvo anti tampering wouldnt make much difference in that aspect.
Denuvo even if it sucks, does really work to prevent piracy. Pirates will still make cracks and such but cracks are notorious for breaking over time even despite claims of them running better than retail copies, they wont get any updates/dlc that could potientally improve performance.
Devs only really use it to secure launches and they typically remove Denuvo 3-6 months after release

Rage 2(2019) on launch had denuvo but it was removed a few days later, and the performance increase was huge, A real shame Deep Silver/Starbreeze are pushing through this online only stuff you can tell the Overkill put a lot into the game

Just to clarify, there is no more Overkill. It's just Starbreeze and that's been the case for a while now. But yeah, this is possibly going to add some performance hits

like you said, Denuvo never works and literally only hurt the performance for the people who bought the actual game.
I legit dont remember any games that didnt have some performance issues tight to this DMR...
I really, really hope, they dont go through with this decision.

It's probably too late to back out. If its implemented, that means the contract is already signed and they've already paid for the service
