Buy to fit widest part and get tailored
Button placement is important, there should be a button in the center of your breast
I got a bigger one, which good for the chest, and go to tailor the other parts of it.
Fashion double sided stick clothing tape works great to close up gaps or stick your bra straps to your shirt so they don’t show …
Having the right size/style bra just makes all your clothes hang better. Its a game changer. Getting a properly fitted bra really does make an impact. I was so off. Also not found a strapless bra that works. Ever.
So true, AND even more true for older women fighting gravity. I was shocked the other day when I put on a sleeveless turtleneck top. It made me look like my boobs were down around my elbows. Decluttering all my crew-, mock- and turtle-necks. Keeping cowl-necks that elongate the neck.
Now keeping an eye out for open collars, wraps and Vs.
It's already been a year for belts. Yay.
Thanks for the encouragement on TAPE. I've been intimidated so far. I do like using the nip-covers with non- padded bras for that smooth Tshirt effects.

What a great and informative video!! I am 57 yrs old 5'3" with a 32GG chest and short torso. I always wondered why I looked so much larger than my size. It took me years to realize I needed to wear tighter fitting petite tops! Then I found out there were things called minimizer bras😂!! Can't live without them or v necks!! Pro tip if you're unable to find a strapless that fits you well... A seamstress can convert a "traditional" bra with a shaped/molded cup to a custom strapless if you have one that gives you the shape you want under a garment with the straps tucked in. They can even add silicone grip elastics & make the removed straps convertible. I have had two altered for around $30 each, and they're fantastic!
I have a 32 band size with a large cup size & upper bust fullness. Every strapless I've tried (high end or budget) either digs mercilessly into my sternum or cuts a very unflattering line across the top, or both. My holy grail bra has molded/shaped demi style cups, underwires that do not come too far up my sternum, and a band that is stable on my ribcage. I've been thrilled with both the regular version & my altered strapless version.

Love this Dana! The tips on what will make your chest look bigger is so true. When I was in my 20s and going out a lot, I was always getting rude comments about my chest when I was in a crew neck or higher neckline. It would always throw me off because I wasn’t wearing anything low cut or “flaunting” my cleavage. Hoping things have gotten a little more respectful for the busty ladies 15-20 years later and post MeToo.

Favourite bras are Prima Donna Madison. Expensive but worth every penny. They last forever. I love the wired bras they make. Completely comfortable. They also make my favourite sports bra and bathing suits also.

Exactly!!! Why so focused on minimizing?!!!?! The only thing to minimize is the middle; which is why the necklines were correct, except square is Not good; but turtleneck can work!

Seriously, I have never clicked on a video so fast. I am 5'4" and wear an 8/10 and am a 34G (at least I think so--due for a bra fitting lol). I learned a long time ago that I have to wear fitted styles that accentuate my waist or I look twice my size. I wanted to add that Soma has a great bra that's also super comfortable. It's the Enbliss wireless bra...love it!

Great video and product recs! Thank you. One thing you didn't mention was pretty lingerie. I would love to be able to wear a gorgeous, classy satin chemise or negligee or teddy or tap pants-n-camisole set. But they either have no support of any kind, or else the cups are miles too small. I'd love to see a video that addresses this.

Love this! I go to a local boutique for fittings. Unfortunately, I spent WAY too long in my old size (US 36G). I've gained about 15 lbs in the last year and a half and still wore what I knew was old. Finally went back a month ago and got refitted and purchased my new size (UK 36G, which apparently is like US 36 I...UGH) and the fit is just perfect. I should have done this a year ago lol. It's just pricey where I go, but the fitting and personal shopper experience is chef's kiss.

Great insight. I got a bra fitting when you put out your bra fitting short a few weeks ago. I’ve lost a lot of weight and had no idea what I was anymore. I got one of your SPANX bralettes- loved them and found out Somas has got a bralette that you wear over the spanx bralette which comes up higher and smoothes everything out AND gives me the support and lift I’ve been looking for😁

Same here. I too thought I was a 34DD but I’m actually a 34G and didn’t find this out until I was measured at Nordstrom.
We were in the same boat! It truly makes life so much better and dressing so much more easier.
My best friends are my minimizer Olga bras! Huge difference. No padded bras (obviously) and no high neck or turtleneck anything! V- neck all the way!

Good note on the halter top too! While I HAVE used one strap to support my bra, it hurts my neck to do so! I've only worn halters twice (ironically both were weddings!) and I've given up on that style, simply because I refuse to be uncomfortable anymore. All hail to the v-necks!
