Oh nice! I had a loaner X5 and I was impressed with it. I have video coming out soon on it. I can’t rule out that the X7 won’t be on the channel.

You'll be fine - you need to drive the vehicle some to enjoy the performance. I also have a (pre-owned/purchase last Aug with 52K miles) 2019 RR Sport, but "Supercharge/Dynamic" with the Zurich Shield. This is my Second RR/Sport. I previously owned a 2013 RR Sport/HSE (traded-in for the 2019) and 06 BMW 550i. I got the extended warranty primarily for all electronic/digital worries. Otherwise, no issues with my RRSC to date. I'm fortunate to be in Northern Va, where there are plenty of certified mechanic shops that can service Land Rover/Jaguar and BMW vehicles. I've never taken any of my vehicles to the dealership for repairs or oil change. Going to the dealership for repairs make me sick.
How much cheaper is it to go to a certified shop than the dealer? Considerable or mildly?
I really want to get one but we all know the stories. And even basic oil changes can cost up 300? I’ve heard???

Instead of X7 get a LWB long wheel base 525 HSE. I just got my and I love it. Coming from f85 this feels like a huge buss but handling is great. Lots of space. Has OEM tow hitch and ton of nice options.
I did get a chance to sit in a full size RR. I don’t think it was the long wheel base but I felt it was very luxurious. Do you miss your F85?
Every day. I have pictures of it when it was loaded on the trailer....had it for almost 4 years but ton of personal upgrades, carbon, wheels, Dinan tune and exhaust:) was pushing good power. LR is a completely different car it will never replace the M. You just need to reprogram your brain for it :) In my situation we have a house in OBX driving on the beach, over the dunes M wasn't a good choice so here comes the Range Rover for me. Good luck with your car and I totally get it what you are saying. I think some day I will return to X5M again just hope the never body won't look too crazy. F85 was classic and looked amazing.
I just got one from Cole last weekend. 2021. Let's sync I wonder about who and what to expect. Also I see you have done the ceramic opinion etc. Have you thought about the Dyno performance tuning?
You’re unsure about the Range Rover because they are such a soulless car in my experience.
BMW vehicles are so vastly superior for an enthusiast owner as every time you get inside and drive, you can tell someone who loves 50:50 weight distribution and a high performance driving experience designed it. Let’s call it performance DNA. It’s hard to describe fully. I too have strayed to other brands and always come back to the BMW brand as it feels like home. There is no substitute for true M performance engineering which is in every BMW.
I think that’s what I like and miss.
To call is a soulless brand is ridiculous. I’ve owned plenty of both and can assure you Land Rover is a step above in every way aside from driving dynamics.
I work at Range Rover the touch screen is just how these cars are they are slow to respond you can check your software level in settings and try an over the air update to see if that helps
How’s the maintenance on the 2023 sport models ? Much better than previous generation ?
@@HiHi-bd4rn They really haven't come in for maintenance yet maybe an oil change or a tire if they ran over nail or something but besides that they haven't had any issues so far
@@Z28kid86 that’s good news, it just goes to show that this new bmw engine is a great platform that they are using. Seems as if RR really listened to there consumers to fix all the issues that were in the previous generation.

I appreciate that. I may try it myself with a medium cut orange pad or take it to a professional who I trust.

It doesn’t seem like you have a problem affording nice vehicles so why not order an X5 with the exact features and options you want… including the factory hitch? Especially based on how much money you’ve put into this Range Rover. Maybe I missed something. Seems like you rushed and bought the Range Rover. It’s nice tho.

I ordered it from JLR but the part list is extensive. All in, I was 2k in parts alone.
Is there a tow plate cover available to conceal/hide the Tow Hitch? Or does it stay visible all the time?

I know this may seem like a step down but did you look at an explorer st? If you haven't, just check a new one out
I don’t think the Explorer ST is a step down necessarily, but I do like the package it offers. Standard second row captains seats, third row, decent towing capacity, B&O sound system and 400hp. I’m just picky and main thing I wanted for my next SUV was air suspension, V8 and prefer a 7,000 lbs towing capacity. Those u-haul auto transports are heavy when empty.
@@eddiemcars ah, yeah Im pretty sure the exploder doesn't have an air suspension option. The towing capacity should be ok tho.

Only way to get all you need is two vehicles. Just sayin.
I know it sounds like a lot. I’ll have to do the breakdown. I wasn’t clear in the video. The $3,800 wasn’t just for the hitch. It included new bumper cover, wiring, repaint and installation. $2,000 was parts alone and a DIY to get professional painted bumper would’ve added the cost. In the end it wasn’t going to be worth a DIY unless I planned to go stealth hitch.
Also....what were u thinking paying $3800 for a hitch??? Cmon dude...that's probably the biggest ripoff ive ever seen on the history of the internet.
I don’t see it much of rip off. I didn’t have time to do the install myself. Last two BMW’s I purchased stealth hitch for $1400.
I did the install myself
Cost of the hitch was $1000
The wiring harness and towing module with programming was another $300
The OEM hitch from Land Rover cost a bit more because you have to replace a bumper cover with a different one that’s cut out. Then it needs to be painted. Parts alone for a DIY was right over $2,000
Shops wanted $500 to paint the bumper cover and I wasn’t going to “rattle can” it. Ultimately I decided to just pay and have it done.

@@eddiemcarsM3 is a boys car, X5 M is a man’s car…. I have a 2017 X5 sport package… I wish I can afford the X5 M…. BMW is so much fun to drive and the handling is on another level. But waiting for those off road videos.
this guy is to anal about his range rover trying to perfect it with PPF for example changing the oil when its not needed, his knowledgeable but relies on different garages to get things done sounds like he gets ripped off wherever he goes, chill and enjoy the car its going to go wrong and save your paint protection money for the major issues

originally from NYC but currently reside in Raleigh, NC. I currently own a 15’ BMW 740i (alpine white+peanut butter interior). My uncle own the x7, it’s beautiful car but I’m looking into Range Rover Sport or Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe 43 AMG. Been all over the forums for reliability on the RR’s, so many mixed reviews, nonetheless hard to choose between the 2 midsize sport SUVs. This was insightful, looking forward to part 2 for more info
