    Question. . .can you film from the DJI drones if they are stationary and not in flight? I know what everyone is thing. . Why would you want a drone to film why not in flight. Well, we need to use it for seperate purposes. One we need to film from a bird's eye view. The other is we need to film from a stand. I have the budget to buy 1 camera system and I have heard that this is something you can do with the DJI. Any help will be appreciated.

    Considering the new geofencing restrictions in my area.. not worth it. I can't even turn my motors on inside my own home, let alone fly in my backyard below the level of the surrounding 3 story tall buildings. Nope, that airport 5 miles off means I'm totally locked out from so much as touching the thing. Sensible, that.

    i just notice also my mavic2zoom has a noise when i started to high the shutter in daylight because there are no aperture in it so you need to get higher shutter speed for about 1/1000 depends on the weather i get much noise in it that's why you need an nd filter so you can shoot 1/160 in nd8 or nd16

    the fact that you can shot at nearly 50mm wich is THE focallenght in filmmaking to go for a lot of things and 35mm downwards the Zoom is the Drone to go for me. If you are a image quality Bit-rate S-log nerd loving only the best of the best the Hasselblad Pro might be fulfilling your wet dreams more. But having only one focal length it make it less flexibel for everyday shooting. I like looks over quality. and I am very happy that I choose the Zoom. 50mm flybys are just cinematic As F*ck!

I've been happy with it other then night time hours but still get those great sunsets in the beginning and middle the end starts to really divide the bright orange and purple colors and the darker bottom content. Fortunately I fly early morning to early evening hours being evening time is company paperwork time and family time if there's any left. Hello there Mr Dobo, I have some questions, knowing that Zoom has a 24-48mm focal length, while Pro has a 28mm, but when it is in 4k HD it is 40mm (I think it is a lossless crop). Consider it is unlikely that I will use the 2x digital zoom on the Zoom, and I seldom do zooming while recording a video, does the 8mm difference meant a lot when capturing smaller objects like humans and vehicles? Or is it Zoom's hybrid autofocus helps track moving object better that makes up for it?

    When your control towered airport closes, the Class D airspace will most likely convert to Class E Surface airspace and you will need an authorization. Get a daylight waiver and request an authorization through the drone zone to be able to fly there during night time. A LAANC authorization (if available) won’t work at night. I like your content and can assist for free if you need help.

    curious as to your thoughts today of this VS air2s. now for me im going to use it for film work, as in dolly shots, tracking shots of characters from head level. basically I don't want this to do anymore than a crane or jib. I don't care about 400 feet above ground for the majority of stuff. the optical zoom has me sold. the 2S sensor has me sold. but the beautiful intimate imagery of a 40mm lens VS 20 something is no comparison. so what do you think?

    • @flipnap2112

      @@ar12. parallax hs to do with how fast the background moves in relation to the foreground. think about movies where someone is standing on a mountain and the camera is circling them, the background moves very fast while they arent. its just more cinematic. its nothing do duo with the fact that its a zoom lens, the zooming function is not important. its the MM of the lens itself. digital zoom does not change the lens focal distance, it only makes the picture bigger. if you shot the mountain scene with a 25 mm lens you would have very little parallax, ie the people on the mountain and the background would move very little in respect to each other. but if you filmed this with say a 100 mm lens, the same shot would show the background moving VERY fast in relation to the people on the mountain. gives better cinematic visual dynamics

    • @stevenw973
      @stevenw973 5 років тому +1

      You do not need any permission to fly in an area like that (at least not in the US). As long as you adhere to the FAA guidelines when it comes to not flying directly over anyone else, staying below the 400ft ceiling (or 400ft above the tallest structure within a 400ft radius), and keeping it within line-of-sight you should be good. That's not to say it's a smart idea to do that because congested area like those can cause lots of interference between your drone and controller, but it is legal if you follow the rules. Just think about others while flying and always be aware of what's underneath your drone and where it could possibly land if you lost power and it went into a freefall

      My zoom got stuck in a tree top for 3 days, about 60 feet in the air. It rained all night one night and then a day later the winds were blowing about 30mph. I went to meet a tree guy who was going to climb the tree for me, but the drone was laying on the ground and had been blown out of the tree from the high winds. One prop was knocked off and I literally could not find a scratch on the drone. I thought for sure the rain would have done it in regardless. I brought it home, swapped out the battery, popped on a new prop ( it comes with spares), and off she went. It literally took on so much pounding rain and a 60 ft. fall and you would never know. Very happy with this drone. I also have flown it many times in the falling snow this winter with no issues. The only issue was perhaps that I was on an automated flight path when it got itself into the tree top. Pilot error, software, not sure. It was the top of a wispy Pine, so perhaps had trouble with the sensors identifying the sparse tree top.

      Absolutely NOT! The Mavic Pro or Platinum has one of the worst video processors out there. The lens quality is poor too, with too many sun flares and spots in the video. The quality of the video doesn't even compare to an old Phantom 3Pro (I have owned both). My Mavic Pro was disappointing for video quality, but it flew great, good range. I sold it, but still have my P3P, because it's worthy to keep. Save up for the M2Z, or the Autel Evo which has great video and supports 4K@60FPS, and costs about $1000.

Is this zoom smooth? Is it a budget Cineflex option? Your help would be much appreciated (and you should make a video on it because there doesn't seem to be one). Keep up the awesome work!

    Love my M2Z. But I agree about night time, which I rarely do. The point about drone skins was good. I had a skin on my P4 ~2yrs ago and just 3 days before the warranty expired, I removed it and found a crack around the battery compartment hole. DJI replaced the drone under warranty, and it wasn't a refurb! Sure glad I found it before warranty expiration. I'll buy a Mavic2Pro when they support 4K@60FPS, like my P4P. Until then, I'll use my P4P for that, but I fly my M2Z the most...... because of the zoom. It's awesome!

    Well done show! Hope DJI gets the no fly zones worked out, they're thousands of nothing but grass strips that are not being used, most are not even cut!, meaning that with the new updates a lot of these over lap. Until this is worked out some are not flying at all. Cheers!

    • @TomSpurlock
      @TomSpurlock 5 років тому

      I assume you're referring to M2Z, correct? Try keeping your camera pitched down to show the skyline in only the top 10% of the view frame. That's about a 10 degree pitch down. That should remove most of your problem. If you fly in calm weather, with no wind, in P mode, you shouldn't see the props with max sky showing. If you fly S mode you will likely see the front props when flying fast, or into the wind.

    Thanks for this video amigo Just ordered with smart controller in a special offer so I save £200 over the 2 pro plus £80 save on the original price of the smart controller that give me a £280 less than the 2 pro that probably I will spend on 2 batteries and a case, is a Mavic 2 pack for around that price but not sure if is the right way to go ordering it as I don’t like the carrying bag looks small however comes with car charger , usb attachment to make the batteries a power bank and a base to charge 4 batteries but not all at once .
